Before I bought it really narrows the time line for me……this year, last year, 4 years ago?

My older sister once drove the Families Ford Falcon for 8 years while going to Cal State to get her Masters Degree and she said the little red oil light was on for the whole time..needless to say when my sister finally mentioned it to Dad that this light was on we went to service the Falcon not much oil came out. But the damn car ran for another 100k without issue. I think it says more about how badass that Ford 300 six cylinder was. It was bullet proof so of course Ford had to kill it..because that engine wouldn’t die on its on!❤

My heart goes out to her. To be so callous to just throw parts at an engine hoping it buys enough time for the mobile mechanic to drive away with her money. Sickening. Also, why do major engine manufacturers even make interference engines!!??! I had a timing chain go out on me on my Mitsubishi in the drive-thru of a fast-food place. All of a sudden my engine just died. If I had had an interference engine my car would have f**ked and my whole life would've been f**ked. Luckily that was not the case & I just got a new timing chain and all was good. But this lady's situation was heartbreaking.
