- Shot late night 11/21-11/22. Plenty of moves can be seen through 181st Street on the 8th Avenue Line after hours, including deadheads of C and A trains (R32, R46, R68, R68A) , garbage trains leaving 207th Street Yard (R32, R33WF, R134 refuse motor), and the occasional R188 transfer to / from the overhaul shop. Enjoy =)

#FanRailer/ I appreciate the fact that you took the time and effort to shoot these great pieces of NYC Transit history roaming nightly! The fact that you picked an IND station with architectural and engineering features that allow for uninterrupted views of great subway cars shows how much you respect the viewers. Thanks...🇵🇷🇺🇸😎
I love how trains just pass by in the nighttime. Greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦
hey man are u ok ? the war
u good?
Oh uh...
I hope your okay.
Don't die!!
l love the variety, like when the system had color , and can definetly appreciate the different models...at a time when on some lines you didn't know what was coming!!!
miss that
R32 trains are basically stainless steel redbirds with AC. At least we have those!
0:11 was that an R142
Awesome! Redbirds are awesome. :)
Yes, they certainly were! They were painted that way to try to thwart grafitti vandalism. Tuscan Red is a std. railroad color.
It gives back so many memories I remember going on the 7 lines of this redbird to shay stadium 2000 I was born 1995 and seeing this brings back the time I was with my dad being in the front car watching the tracks thanks for showing this it made my day
Redbirds and bluebirds are my favourite model with colour
Excellent video love NYC
Ever since seeing beat street with graff djing and breaking ive been absolutely fascinated with subways. I mean, to actually go down there would be crazy.
In this video you got:
- transfer trains to/from 207 Yard (main shop)
- 'C' line lay-ups from 168 to 207 Yard (BTW, that R68 that ran in 'A' service was supposed to go to Concourse Yard, idk what happened there!)
- Miscellaneous Division C/work trains (two "pick-ups" or garbage trains) leaving 207 Yard to go and do their thing
- 'A' line service in and out of 207 Terminal
Excellent job!
Awsome catch of all these trains!
I dunno why by the half moon white paint they have on the wheel hubs is almost hypnotic to watch. Round and round.... @.@
I'm glad I wasn't the only one!
the paint helps the detection of a locked axle.
@@FanRailer I just learned something new today! Simple but smart idea
I thought only I was under the spell!!! lol
This is golden!
awesome catch
omfg This is rare asf.! Great catches, Fan Railer!
You really are an associative?
Watching those redbirds makes me thought of the memories riding the #2 going to Brooklyn when I was a kid
Those good times where you must buy a token lol
New York... the city that never sleeps... Nice vid! Thanks!
Cool seeing the R-32's n action!
@@annanowak3016 r38s aren't as strong as the r32s thus the r38s retired a decade ago
Thumbs up 👍🏻 very nice
Nice great work
My favorite subway train!!!
nice work
Nice Great work
Pretty cool!!!
Cool! You can always tell that it is an R188 if you see that signature CBTC package.
Um, what is that? How does it looks like? I would like to know.
I believe CBTC stands for Computer Based Train Control, a recently developed system to keep trains properly time/signal/spaced apart running on the same line, keeping them with proper berths in their separated spaces. The package is visible on those newer cars that are so equipped.
@@samburkes7552 no its not its Communication Based Train Control
Nice shots!
watched your video in full enjoyed it thanks
I enjoyed video
Interesting trains over in NYC
bro that's really rare a REDBIRD OMG your lucky to actually see that the redbirds I see are garbage trains now :(
8:50 DUDE ANOTHER ONE
bruh thats an R32
Agree
Hey can railer who was that kid with you what is there name how old are you (general info)
That shot between 9:20 and 9:40. So beautiful
Nice Job
Fan Railer
The last time I've seen a revenue service (besides the Q/D farewell trip) R32 was in 2019
Do you know if the Holiday Train is running this year?
Why wouldn't it be running this year?
Too many surprises
This seems interesting! Can someone tell me more about railing!?!
At 2:10 That R32 had a cute Horn
Do the R32s have different air horns than the other cars in the system? They are higher pitched
I thought it used St. Louis horn
FCRS Productions yes they have higher better horns but if you really want a taste to\back to the golden days of NYCTA then watch the old school born of the real r32 it's really good probably one of the best working ones I have heard in years
Where is R68A? I only see a R68 deadheaded.
When the train horn honked it sounded wierd
How many of you guys like the R127 garbage trains? I know there odd looking but they got a little charm to them.
Wow I never seen A running on R68 or R68A.
How late did you have to be there?
Between 8:30 and midnight or so.
Who is that guy next to you, Fan Railer?
R42 J Productions dj Hammers
I didn't know they still used R32s
Is this station like a test station or sum thing
why does garbage trains and work trains have to be on the 8th ave line
My friend lives near that station
Wow! This is sick!
2 questions:
1. How long were you to see the equipment moves?
2. How do you know about these happening?
These moves happen every weeknight between 8pm and 11 pm.
What’s R188doing on A lone
R188, Redbirds, R160 C via the A? What is MTA doing to the C! Just make it Not In Service, anyways, Some quick information about some cars
Redbirds:Trains like the R62 but painted red and without stripes, made for better seating, comfortably, etc. Also they retired in 2003, a car lays out in Kew Gardens-Union Turnpike.
R188:Just a R142A but reskined, it was transferred from the 6 to the 7 and R62’s were transferred from the 7 to the 6, although the R188 is a R142A, R142A looks like an R142 but more different.
R160:Mainly for smoother rides just like the R142, delivered by Kawasaki and runs on many different lines A,C,E,F,J,Z,M,R,N,Q and last but not least the L.
R179:Delivered by Bombardier, the R179 was made for speed but got into trouble 2 times in 2020, runs on the A,C,J,Z.
R32:The R32 is like a reskin of the R38 just a few improvement, retires in a few days or a week, nonetheless R32s replaced all R179s because of 2 trouble maker accidents.
R38:As I said same as R32 but a bit better, R38 was kind of made for speed but not comfortable rides, retired in 2009 cause of parts falling off, 2 sets on the train of many metals
Well you read all that? Nice Job! That information was important.
Ya mustive had fun last night
***** ik
lovit
At the beginning their were lots of not in service trains
Nice catches of two garbage trains!
Also, I think the type of cars shown at4:11 might be the oldest still on normal passenger serive on the NYC subway system! Probably from the 1970s
Mid 60's actually. But you're right, they are the oldest cars left in service. They turn 55 this year
R68 A train? I thought it was R68A!
3:15 That's An R68 NIS not an A train They were headed to Concourse Yard
It stoped then it completely stoped
As a Londoner, it’s interesting learning about your system. I like that you have express and local trains.
All the trains were not in service except for the R46 cars they just kept going on passenger service
A r32? I lilke r188 and r143
8:12 IS what your Looking for.
5 car R188
Operator Hasn’t Been Using Me Since Last Week. I’m Getting Scared...
why was a R142 In that station?
yard transfer, and that was a R188.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
⭐Subway,America,👍Subway,,⭐
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I Never saw a R68 A train
nice!!
tubblescousine2 did you see this too
8:55 oh,And there's a garbage train. :)
How do they keep up with replacing all those florescent lamps. There's got to be 1000s of them. Station lighting and
train lighting.
HOW IS THE R68 A TRAIN A THING
Was there a R32 A train in service there?
Antonio Monetti there are also R32 A train
Antonio Monetti I heard the r68 A trains only operate in the night
***** really?
How about the r68 A trains
its am and pm rush
8:24 your welcome
Thank you
R188, not R142. There’s a difference. I said R68/A, and 6:45, R160 (C). She is obviously 🙄 supposed to be at 168 st. 181 st is past 168 st.
Obviously that R160 is not in service C trains do not operate during late night hours.
lescharles9 No she was not
1: You don’t know where she’s going
2: C Trains don’t operate During Late Night Since it’s a Local service that stops wherever A dOes not along the line So A Trains run Local
3: Your obviously not from New York City most likely
which model would be the one used on GTA 4
R32
Thank you
@@superstardaboss2029 it’s not R32 it’s R38
Are they R33 and R42??? OMFG!!!!!! NYC NEEDS THEM!!!!!
in 9:8 what tipe of train is that??
Ernie Fernandez the R127.
Zion Gamer type
garbage train
The R127 looks like a modified R62/A sorta
BVERailer they are based on the R62 and R62A
It is
4:11, this is the R32, and is made in 1964. Don’t be talking about the 1970s.
if you paint red into the r32 it look like the redbird!!!!
St. Louis R30 Redbird with Flip-Dot display. XD
Yes, they do look identical, when painted that signature Tuscan Red scheme. You can quickly tell them apart, by numbers of paired door leaves, and respective lengths and widths. R30/R32 BMT cars are 60' long, 10' wide, 4 pairs of doors either side. R33 IRT cars are 51', about 8.5' wide, 3 pairs,of door leaves on either side. Both classes mfd in early/mid 60's by St. Louis Car Co....Wheeww .hh!!6
That's a whole lot of not in service trains
A lot of late night train transfer moves.
wow you didn't get robbed. when I was a kid (70s) after dark it was a sure robbery.
Gentrification ain't all bad lol
Wich is better redbirds or r32
Redbird
R32
Redbird
R32
And r33
lol that first train had only 5 wagons why ??
carljohnson621 cars
The Kawasaki R188 had only 5 cars because it was a transfer train, presumably because one set of cars is 4 or 5 cars, 6 for the Flushing line, 2 for shuttles and weird consists, and 3 for the R110B. I hope you understand.
8:14 What is that a R38 with another train 🤨🤨🤨🤨:/
bruh thats an R32
R32
R33 i guess was a garbage train with R32
Why do IRT trains pass by here
NYC Life and Gaming
Yard Transfer.
It is actually easier for R188 trains from the 7 to get to the A line than to the 1. Those are the only lines which have access to 207th St. shops.
@Kai Foti Right..the track gauge and third rail height/distance spacing is all standard, so those two different division car classes can be compatibly coupled and can traverse the B Division trackage..good notated point in question!!
R68 a train rare
Very
Agreed
Can i be the biggest fan of trains fan railer i'll get you a thumbs up👍
That was on the 1 line
How do you know? Read the description!
Look on the NYC subway map, the A line has a stop at 181st too
cool girl03 The IND trains wouldnt fit
cool girl03
No it wasn't, unless you're talking about the other station.
LIRR THAT WAS ON THE 8 AVENUE LINE
7:35 I thought the R32 Type is on the rush or something
Ethan Campbell If the Signal up ahead is Green they are allowed to go as fast at they want Permitting the speed Limit
Foamers: YASSSS FINALLY R188 C TRAIN LETS GO LETS GOOOOOOOOOO
What’s wrong with foamers? People go crazy when they see sports cars, but it’s bad if it’s a subway?
Do MBTA
Would you like to pay for my trip to Boston? =P
Fan Railer no Im8 I don't I have money for you
If you do go see the PCCs that run in Mattapan with the old Boston MTA livery.
Fan Railer why can nobody spell
4:11-4:57 C Train in Service
If that train is in service, it’s the (A).
The only thing I don't like about these trains is their wheels squeak really loud when the train is braking.
Angie Hartnack thats all trains not just subways
Angie Hartnack true
Angie Hartnack All trains do that it means the driver is Braking Hard
=d
100th comment
go home next time
Shut up
