Never had a Malteser in Hand but it looks as if they are about 1 / 1,5cm in diameter which would mean you are telling the policemen you where going 500 / 750 cm/s = 5 / 7,5 m/s = 18 / 25,2 km/h = 11,2 / 15,7 mph (for the americans)
So unless Im in a traffic jam i would never actually go that slow :D

Well, there are places where you are not allowed to go that fast. The lowest speed limit I know is 5 km/h (and 15 km/h speed limit also exists).

I'm not sure who you are referring to with the point and shoot camera UA-camrs but most of the top UA-camrs, especially those who post daily vids, like gamers and vlogers spend many hours per day editing videos. The lights in that room were 60hz (USA) and we shot this at 25fps (UK) which is why the lights are banding down the screen like that. I noticed it and turned them off eventually. Sorry for messing with your eyes, chaps.

Should have placed the targets a little further away from the barrel. Looks like lot of the damage/displacement was caused by the pressure of the excess gas, as opposed to the impact pressure of the Maltesers.

Pondus Berggren It's cheaper to buy in bulk. We don't eat the whole bucket at once, just a handful. So we save money. Also, you can buy just the small bag if you want. We have different size options depending on how many you need, like if you're having a party, the bucket is good option. So we have more options at better prices. Not sure where the criticism is coming from.

The only thing that annoys me about these tests is that you never go to the next level to see what it cannot go through. Wood, glass and paint look nice but would be nice to see if it will destroy tougher objects.

Danish Dragon I don't think budget is really the issue at all. I think they've just always been more focused on cool visuals than a scientific approach. Would have been nice to see what the limit was on this one though.
with that speed, it could probably kill someone. it goes faster than a pistol bullet, and its a pretty solid object.
I think it would be good if you put the objects being hit, further away from the end of the cannons barrel, so that raw air pressure wouldn't influence the outcome of the Malteser .....love the video guys and as always love the channel

Using a tesla coil would be easier but same effect
CoolHwip92 I don't know, lightnings have an interesting way a of forming that can be seen only from the distance and in slow motion. I don't think that this way can be seen in Tesla coils
Those cameras will only film a few seconds before running out of storage. Catching an unpredictable lightning strike will be near impossible.
I think they have a setting that will record a buffer of a few seconds so you can click record after the action happens instead of before. So it is completely possible.
Slow motion cameras don't save anything until you press the button. You press it and it stores the x amount of seconds before you pressed.
Most passenger planes do approximately 850 feet per second. So if the malteser did 900 feet per second, then it actually might well be the worlds fastest ever! I am genuinely amazed at how much damage it did! I half expected the malterser to just turn to mush under the initial pressure.
I did the math. Your Maltesers were going over 850 MPH (852 to be exact). That means that they broke the sound barrier. That's crazy. I like your t-shirts;)
KTC Cinematics by doing the math you mean you took the 900+ fps they said in the video then went to Google "fps to mph" and there is your answer

I did the math for a plane's fps. A 787 travels at 593mph, which is around 3,131,040 feet per hour, which is around 52184 feet per minute, which is around 870fps, so if the maltesers were going the 900fps that was recorded, then they would be travelling faster than a 787, so you would maybe have to fire one from the jet to break that record. No TI-84 can beat a malteser at 900fps.
