@@JXZX1 I tend to just ignore the 3 films + Solo and substitute that with the EU. I flat out refuse to care about what some megacorp like Disney says is or isn't canon.
The new cannon approach to lightsaber colors is so fucking stupid. In the EU, different lightsaber colors came from different types of crystals, which is believable. In "cannon", lightsaber colors are determined by your force, or emotions or some shit. Basically they've been made into giant, glowy mood rings of death. There are so many different colors that the difference in your force would minuscule between them. Every jedi color can be obtained naturally, except red, in both the EU and "cannon". In the EU, sith had to manufacture synthetic crystals in order to get their red color, because it didn't appear in nature . In "cannon" sith apprentices have to actively use their force powers to "bleed" a crystal into a red color. Actually squeezing blood from a stone. I asked myself why would they do this, for what purpose? And I came up with a reason: cause their whole saber moodring bullshit would create a plothole in the movies, specifically ROTS, because Anakin's lightsaber doesn't turn red after brutally murdering a fellow jedi and *two dozen young children.*
I just played 15 hours of "Survivor" after replaying "Fallen Order" for the second time. I am an avid Star Wars fan and gamer, but I had absolutely ZERO intention on picking this game up, and still don't even if it does go on sale. There's just a certain charm that previous games like the Force Unleashed had that this game lacks, and I think it has plenty to do with how bare the gameplay is due to a lack of moves and force abilities. For up incoming installments, I would LOVE to see something like this from and Imperial point of view, like from the Grand Inquisitor or something, because I think it's about time that people are reminded that the Empire still consists of PEOPLE, and not heartless villains like Palpatine. The currents novels try their hardest on this front, but the games and TV shows have failed miserably to capitalize on it (think Battlefront 2 campaign and Rebels). Speaking of writing, this game sure has some of the abysmal variety: definitely comparable to what we've been seeing from them in their recent TV shows, like Rebels or Resistance. @@christophedoornekamp805 yeah let's give them money because they made something that wasn't an utter failure, lmao. Get outta here with that logic, fuck this awful game.
Wow man, I respect your opinion but it feels like you and I played two totally different games. Fallen Order was my game of the year for 2019 and I've been a massive Star Wars fan all my life, was not let down with this one. The story is one of the most unique I've seen in Star Wars, it takes an already tragic moment in the universes history (Order 66) and shows what that would do to a mere child. This is also why Cal doesn't get a ton of light and dark side abilities, he was only 12 when the purge happened and by the end he only knows a bit more than he did then, though his skills with a lightsaber are obviously much better. Cals journey is about facing his trauma, learning from it and learning to forgive himself, this is of course paralleled with his new master Cere who is also dealing with her own guilt and need to forgive herself as well. Everyone who joins Cals crew has a great trauma in their past that they need to overcome and by the end they all do but they also learn not to repeat the mistakes that led to their trauma in the first place. For Cal he destroys the Holocron because he realizes that restarting the Order is not his burden to bear and that their destiny should be trusted to the force. Cere, in her confrontation with Vader finally learns to control herself and not let her anger control her, and Merrin learns to forgive the Jedi for what she believes they did to her people which culminates in her saving the lives of both Cal and Cere when she could have let them die. I'll admit I too would have liked it if enemies dropped loot of some kind and if the lightsaber parts carried stats with them too and I'm sure this will all come in the sequel but I can understand why those things weren't here in this game. Respawn was trying to prove to EA how much money and success they can see if they just let their developers make the games they want to make and that meant EA couldn't monetize this game at all or at least as little as possible. This would have been ruined if Respawn had given enemies loot and your items stats because now EA would be tempted to offer those for real money, whether it be through boosters or Special/Collector/Game of the Year Editions that are all too common now. Those things had to be held back so EA couldn't demand it and now that they've proven their worth both as devs but also as people who can make great Star Wars games they now potentially have leverage to fight back if these demands show up. Frustrating as it may be it was ultimately a necessary sacrifice for the integrity of the game, but one that I'm sure won't be needed next time. And especially with the successful launch of all the DLC that's come out since I'm sure we can look forward to many improvements in Fallen Order 2 but I'm still more than happy with what we got for a first outing.

You have the open world with objectives and just like the infamous games there is the pull between the light side and the dark side with different powers. Trilla froze in the final battle and that’s how I beat the game. She was schooling my ass because she’s the ONLY boss that a perfectly timed dodge does not work against.
I'd rather they just improve the combat over stats, if only because having stats, at least in a stat points kind of way, would lead them to just making damage sponge enemies. Everything else I agree with and would like to see.
The game would have been fine-ish if not for the fact I must have gotten an Ugly People Edition™. The main character obviously, but the lady at the ship looked like her eyes were just about to fall out and bounce off the floor. The developers and movie makers nowadays have this weird idea that if they show me beautiful people, I'm gonna be unhappy or something. Guys, I see ugly people everyday, starting with a morning glance in the mirror, in my video games I'd love to see some busty supermodels and Greek athletes, thank you. Even the pilot alien looks like balls.
The things that bothered me the most about this game: Just give me a ranged weapon goddammit. Not EVERY planet has to be a parkour planet. Would it kill you to have some places be a village, a space station or a flat desert? You made every planet the exact same place!
I will add though that while I enjoyed the game, navigating zeffo and the backtracking on that planet was super annoying. Even after spending hours and hours on that planet, trying to get to point A(underground) from point B(above ground) was tiring to say the least.

Exploration yields more health "heart containers" or "stim packs"
Linear story
What I want from SW: Fallen Order II

One thing that kind of irks me is movies and games where LUCK is the biggest factor for the protagonist surviving. Idk why.
GONK INTENSIFIES
Trilla froze in the final battle and that’s how I beat the game. She was schooling my ass because she’s the ONLY boss that a perfectly timed dodge does not work against.
THE BOI IS BACC
What's that little black box floating on the screen?
20:00 i'm getting matrix flashback of "choice"
40 minutes of review and my takeaway is try out Movie Battles II @11:45
saintmillion squad whaddup
The things that bothered me the most about this game:
Just give me a ranged weapon goddammit.
Not EVERY planet has to be a parkour planet. Would it kill you to have some places be a village, a space station or a flat desert? You made every planet the exact same place!
This is art.
It's like clunky Dark Souls in space.
I will add though that while I enjoyed the game, navigating zeffo and the backtracking on that planet was super annoying. Even after spending hours and hours on that planet, trying to get to point A(underground) from point B(above ground) was tiring to say the least.
This guy can make a good game look bad.
0:23 OMG a redhead as a male lead!
He is a jedi...
