They are not making a decision to throw their lives away in their minds. They are thinking only 10 days ahead, Christmas, and never took the time to consider that they might get caught. I guess when you grow up that way and everything around you is that way, you just do because that's normal. It doesn't make sense to the rest of us, but there were 6 kids on the same page in this crime. That is not a coincidence. They couldn't just all be that dumb together at the same time if there wasn't already something about their shared environments growing up that created that mindset. Which makes it so much worse. We are actually growing murderers faster than we ever have before. It's become normalized in many communities. Scary. Cannot even be undone for a couple of generations. And that's if we were somehow able stop that mindset, or the ability to carry out these crimes, immediately.

Most of these guys are raised by a single mother and do what they call "jumping off the porch" at early ages like 12-13-14. They stop maturing at that age because all they do is hang on the block with their friends or gang and chase girls, shoot opps and do drugs. The early stopped development coupled with gang wars and gang mentality come together in a soup of "manufactured" psychopathy... or perhaps sociopathy is more correct in this case

Naw, she probably has an IQ around 80-90 and doesn't know what "accomplice" means. Typical criminal IQ, based on prison studies, is around 85-90. With that comes a litany of problems like poor impulse control, lack of foresight, poor memory, and an inability to place yourself in someone else's shoes. I doubt she had even formulated a thought beyond a few days when in trial.

I will never understand why people agree to be questioned without a lawyer. I know these aren't the brightest bulbs, but who doesn't know that? Especially when there's been a murder, and especially cause it's free. And if you do want to answer questions, don't go to the police station to do it. You can answer questions anywhere. Once you're in the station, they've got you. I worked for a criminal defense lawyer and too many people called us once it was too late. But they paid my salary, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I honestly don’t get it. There are enough gig jobs now between Uber, DoorDash, etc. to make just enough to carry one through a bad situation (unlike the old days where one might take to the streets unsafely).
I used to run one of Uber’s largest competitors in Asia and I saw how many lives it improved. It wasn’t perfect but so many drivers told me they had a backup when they lost jobs. Killing someone, let alone for so little, just doesn’t make any sense anymore.

For those of you who haven't watched it yet- the title is a bit of a clickbait one, she didn't kill for $7, she killed because she thought there was lots of money at the victims house, but only found $7
