The absolute state of the performing arts in our world and the delusional people in its orbit is a state of affairs that breaks my heart... it also fills me a motivational rage to find the few not insane people and do something about it... And doing something about it we are. Finally.
Wasn't easy to find some folks who weren't totally insane narcissists though, or had been driven to the edge of reason by these totally insane actors steering the ship into the rocks. The industry has been rotten to the core for thirty years and it's heartbreaking to people who love the expression of fine arts performed by exceptional individuals in an outstanding team. The sometimes brutally honest art of qualitative distinction, selecting and judging high quality individuals, has been poisoned by bad ideas such as inclusivity, accessibility (which has its place when kept in check) the pure toxicity identity politics injected into the ability to judge people by their individual qualities.
This gets real political, real fast, especially where I live in Australia... All we want to do is put the huge waste of relatively limited but very expensive resources, back into the highly skilled and disciplined who performers who have clearly earned it, and have it organised by teams of highly disciplined and effective executives who can unapologetically sort the treasures from the flukes.
I don't think that's too much to ask and the public is craving it. After years of being spoon fed what we're told is chocolate ice cream, which sometimes even looks like chocolate ice cream, but upon consumption obviously tastes like a big bowl of shit to almost everyone who's not fucking crazy... The gaslighting has worn off and regular people, (who aren't as stupid as the Industry insiders think) take one look at what passes for art and say to those delusional industry insiders "sooo... this is a joke right?"
But nope, they seriously expect you to swallow it, have it paid for by your tax dollars and if you don't like it, well they'll just tell themselves you're probably just too stupid to understand it.
They are great, all their work is of the highest standards and if its not well received by the sane people, then its your fault their companies are floundering and you need to cough up so they can put on the next thing nobody cares about or ever will.
Ahem... Sorry, that may have been a rant. It hit a little close to home there. But I'll add a few words from the wise: never ever date actors, especially good ones. They are almost always disordered narcissistic psychos, and they can suck even those who know into their delusional self entitled games.
They can usually turn it on and off at will, which if it didn't make them such dangerous people to involve in your life, would be a fascinatingly uncanny human ability to observe.
But self untitled delusional narcissistic bullies they almost always are, whenever you work with them, someone with authority needs to have them on a very short leash.
I am not that guy, as I learnt the hard way... Twice. The second woman was far better at it and it took me years to stop seeing her. She could go from being almost in tears in bed, saying"I love you so much, you're the best thing in my life" and as soon as you spot the games, or fail to give them what they want, it instantly goes to "I will ruin you, I know all your secrets and how to hurt you."
She tried to ruin me, thankfully nobody was buying her BS anymore... But I often think, there was a period time after I called her out, that she was so driven by paranoia to protect her persona and public reputation, that I fully believe that if she could have killed me, or found someone she could convince to kill me, she would have killed me. She would have been totally okay with it, her secrets would be safe and it wouldn't cross her mind again... unless she got caught of course, oh she'd turn it on then and attempt a performance to rationalise any action she felt justified in.
I didn't tell anyone else about what happened in private between us, or even let anyone outside of our social circle, who already knew, that we quietly dated for years and towards the end it was a living hell.
Sorry that was an additional rant. But seriously don't date actors, essentially good ones. It allows looks like you've hit the jackpot at the start, it's unbelievable how they're interested in you, but then you realise that winning the lottery is almost always a curse, an illusion that will consume you if you don't see reason. If a person who you know cares about you and gives wise advice with your interests at heart tells you that you need to cut a person in your life off now and do what's necessary to protect yourself immediately... don't ignore them, you already know they're right, so don't walk away, RUN!
If I can save just one sane human being from the maddening drama of such potentially dangerous narcissistic psychos, such as the ones in the video and in my life.... well my rant here was worth it.
I'm still working on moving on from the madness, it's getting easier and she's getting worse. But thankfully, court ordered to be nowhere near me.
I've gotta copy that, got my journal entry for the day, Christmas day here, all done
Putting it there is slightly embarassing, but delete it I will not. I stand by every word.

Brutally killing two friends so he could go on a honeymoon cruise he couldn't afford and thinking you're such a gifted actor you'll get away with it. Dan is possibly the most narcissistic killer I've ever heard of. I really feel for Sam's father having to go through all the emotional turmoil, his son being hunted as an armed and dangerous killer when all the while he's a victim. Poor Sam, he was dead as soon as Dan found out he had 60 thousand in savings. That he worked for. I don't believe Dan's claims of being crazy, it was just another bad act by a selfish, irresponsible monster. Rachel is just a really awful, selfish and zero compassion.

It must be so traumatic as a father to find a murdered body in their home…
Not only from witnessing the body, but from the fact you can only think of one person who could be able to do it: your son
Which must hurt enotmously. To have to call 911 for your son having done a murder, wondering what you did wrong as a father for that to happen(even if he was a perfect dad, as a parent, if our children does something bad, it still makes us question ourself)
The trauma the father must been in during the investigation, only to find out that sam wasnt a murderer on the run, but another victim of a murder from a serial killer, who attempted to hide sam while leaving julie to try to frame sam as the murderer

She was not involved with this whatsoever and was basically just a totally pointless murder. There being a reason doesn't make the murder of Sam any better but there being no real reason to have even involved, never mind murder Julie...is some next level depravity.
It would have been one thing if they made it seem like Sam killed her and then killed himself but they did nothing of the sort--they seemingly decapattacked him which really could never lend itself to any kind of murder-suicide insinuation or presumption by police.
And by they I mean Dan *and* Rachel--she was clearly involved and got off far too easily/lightly unfortunately.
