We should 100% expect grown adults to be careful with their money and to do the bare minimum of research before spending large sums of cash on things they don't properly understand. That'd be called basic intelligence in my opinion. You can google, check comments, do any little bit of research before buying a PC. You can't hold peoples hands throughout life. If they aren't capable of doing research/protecting themselves then it's only a matter of time before _something_ makes them lose a lot of money. The more you protect people from any bit of hardship, the less they learn how to function and the less they teach their offspring. You aren't protecting people. You're robbing people of the chance to learn through mistakes, which means you're robbing their kids of learning from their parents. I know nothing about cars but have never been scammed buying one because I was capable enough to understand that it was beyond my expertise and maybe I should research what I was getting into. It's also how people buy pets that die from poor breeding after a few months, or dump them on the street because they never knew what keeping a pet would entail. People who don't understand what they are getting into need to learn why research is important and how to do it. I'd rather them lose 200 quid on a crap PC than fly off a cliff because the lemming of a car they bought had faulty brakes.

I use one of those business machines as my secondary machine. Ivy bridge i7 3770 (3.9ghz) 16 gb ddr3 (dual channel) GT1030 2gb gddr5 with an old ssd and HDD. It does 1080p gaming quite well and only draws 110 watts max from the wall (very quiet too). Originally I bought 7 of those HP machines off ebay for $50 ea. They all had an i5-3470, 4 GB ddr4, 500gb-1tb HDD and onboard video. I slapped some ebay hd 7750 2gb gddr5 cars for $15 each and used them to multibox online games. I ran them all through years of south texas heat with 85-90c ambient pegged 24/7 and none of them failed (one of my routers sitting on the stack died from heat). Those business machines are built to be abused and often are based on my professional experience. They can be quite good for cheap when done properly. If you get one replace the thermal paste as it's rather old at this point. I also replaced the fans for better air movement and less noise. The i7 was bought off ebay and runs a bit hotter than the original i5s. Hits 57c when maxed out in around 28.3 ambient. GPU peaks around 70c. Furmark/p95 pushes a bit higher but not far past 60c on cpu.

He 100% returned this for his money back. Amazon's return policy is very favorable to the buyer.
why not
That amazon seller is balling on both AMD and Nvidia with those prices lmao

I think the Pong may mean your brother needs to have a shower instead of gaming 24/7 🤣
Ps I do understand your reference, I am a Pre-Pong Baby 😁
And still leaves room to upgrade to a 1650. It's actually on par with the RX 470

Can we appreciate that it beats Cyberpower in the fact that it has dual channel ram xD
Or even ibuypower or Ibitepower
@@frozenturbo8623 iBuyPower has been pretty good for me. I recently bought a prebuilt from them and got brand name dual channel RGB ram with decent speed.
Imo the worst part is their OEM cases suck but that’s such a minor nitpick. Even the price wasn’t eye watering considering the gpu market, and 2day shipping with the simplified warranty support you get from buying prebuilt.
Ok I had no idea before I clicked on this I got 6 of these out of the waste dumpster behind staples last week.... They are bare!!!!

You are the man. I am exactly the person that would fall for these predatory tactics. I'm lucky I know how to turn a computer on. I'd have been heartbroken to receive this. Keep up the great work!
I actually bought a more modern version of this same PC and I threw a GTX 1650 into it and it actually plays 4K good enough for me (I actually just use 1080p) for only $300
What's the fps you get with it
Im just getting into pc gaming and don't see why people say it's expensive, I got a prebuilt with a office computer with a 4790s in it and a 710 1gb for 100$, taking out the 710 and putting in an rx580 8gb I can get for 120$ at most and will easily be able to get 1080p 100fps plus with most games I play easily and it only cost me 210$ LMFAO but it's totally expensive....

Worth stuffing in a low profile 1650 perhaps into this & a ssd in place of the dvd drive/burner combo.
Probably have a pretty solid cpu bottleneck myself atm with a gigabyte 1660 super OC & a I5 2500 @ 3.9 ghz heh.
Got it for 264 usd which was a pretty good price as most other 1660 super cards were priced higher at the time.
There are a pair of cheaper single fan ones now that have really low end coolers like gainward pegasus 1660 super & palit super storm X 1660 super.
Same model i got of the 1660 super is selling for 303 usd in Sweden as its lowest atm so got a reasonably good deal on it almost brand new in box.
Would have stayed on my trusty r9 280 for a while longer if it didn't die on me late august of this year just about 5.5 years since i bought it in january 2015.
only upgrade ill be doing on my pc is a cpu now (probably I7 3770K or I7 2600K as i got a z77 motherboard & a fat noctua uh12sp cpu cooler)
And a larger ssd. (Been looking at a 960 gb ssd.)
For either my os & a few games or using my 120 gb ssd for os & dedicate the new ssd for games.
Atm running a intel 330 60 gb for windows 7 which works alright but not much space left over on it heh.
