Although I have alot better components. I use a case similar to that. For me it's better. Having something under the table just churning the fps. And besides one doesnt look at the case when the enemy is shooting at you. The same for keyboard and mouse. No RGB just backlighting.
Sometimes IT Companys throw out old HDD's that were used to run Servers. That HDD looks like it came from there. If you run recovery software and they were sloppy you could actually find some private Company data of thier previous customers.

@@GorlockSlayer You don't need to shred the drives to make sure no data is recoverable, just write over the data with random stuff a few times or more. Multiple drives can be done in parallel, which greatly reduces overall time. You could shred or degauss them for extra security, but that's really wasteful and I'd rather that be avoided unless there's no other option. Just write data to it encrypted in the first place.
It's funny, my main array is actually a RAID-0 array with a LUKS partition inside, so if one of the drives ended up being wiped, there's no getting the data back. That gives me some piece of mind for if a drive just suddenly dies on me and I have to RMA it. I've used old enterprise drives in the past and they worked alright, just noisy and tend to run a bit hot
HGST was Hitachi until Western Digital bought them mid 2010s. That "security" sticker on the top right of the drive's label is covering its manufacture date. Probably in 2013.
3tb 7200rpm disks were top of the line back in the days, this one was clearly refurbished outta IBM server, unfortunately dumbfook installation made this wildly bounce around in shipping all the way

My dad got me and my brother a $700 optiplex for our birthday 🤦♂️ i managed too sell it for $500 on ebay and then use my and my brothers combined 2 year savings of $300 and built a better pc

I have a feeling that by law it is a USED PC. It is false advertising about a 10 core processor and it being new. That hard drive is so used it could die any moment too! The VGA port has me wondering what the graphics were too. I know in general on board graphics suck and APUs aren't really a whole lot better except they have a good CPU as part of them. That Dell he once reviewed is looking better by comparison despite being mostly proprietary parts that will make the thing e-waste when anything fails.

Cuda cores are arranged into streaming multiprocessors (AMD equivalent is compute units), and these behave more like cores in the traditional sense (the GPU cores in the 10 cores are almost certainly compute units or something similar)

If you build it yourself you can make it exactly what you pay for.
Back when I got my first PC I almost bought one of these because I didn't understand how shitty the "10 core gamer RGB!"PC really is. I think it's funny that you brought up the optiplex, I ended up buying an optiplex (Cant remember the model, but it had an i7-4770) with a 1050 installed (no, not the Ti lol). It ran well over 100fps in esports titles, and created my current love of PC gaming. Don't sleep on the optiplex builds, they make great entry level PCs for a couple hundred bucks!

@@MarketChange ngl ds3 runs really well and they did a stellar job of optimizing it. I could play it maxed at 1080p with a 2gb 770 an i5 4670 whereas I struggled to play most other AAA titles going above low settings. I'm sure it doesn't run good off of integrated graphics, but that game holds a very special place in my heart given the devs actually thought to optimize it on top of making a stellar piece of work.

@4:49 That is an HGST enterprise drive ripped out of a NetApp Appliance. Judging that it originally shipped with MinOS 8 that means that that thing is from like 2011. The manufacture date of the drive is under the sticker that they oh so conveniently placed over it to make the drive look "new".

Not only was the hard drive cage broken, but it was also missing the drive rails. That's what that big zip tie was in there for. If you look at its shape you can see its a rectangle just like the drive :D
In all honesty there is nothing wrong with that...just be honest about it. You can piece together a much better system for less money and still make a profit
I bought a pre built one, but the stores in Sweden usually has decent prices for those. I probably paid, some 300 dollars above cost total of the components, which is alright for me.

I recently bought a pre build on amazon, the skyu\tech blaze 2 and it works wells and only had a problem with the internet, but customer service was fast and told me to just put on the atenna and so far its working great! good buy for $750. Im gonna save up and build my own, im a new pc gamer thats why i bought a pre built.
Seriously? I mean, a so called *pre built* gaming pc which can render 30 fps at 720p lowest at gta v, where a intel hd 630 can give 35 fps... is somewhat terrible for $390. Within $300 you can easily build a better one.
TheKommunistKrusader A laptop like the Acer Nitro 5 with the Ryzen 5/Rx560x would probably be a much better experience than a prebuilt pc at this price point if you want a manufactures warranty.
Try building a $390 pc minus $200. That's likely all they spent on parts. This build is for maximizing what little profit there is at this price point. So tell me can you build a better system and only spend $190?

The case they used is DIY brand and it's like 30-40 dollars. the panels are so thin that you can dent it by just looking at it.

DIYPC cases in general seem excessively cheap. But since most are under $50 you get what you pay for.

Back when I got my first PC I almost bought one of these because I didn't understand how shitty the "10 core gamer RGB!"PC really is. I think it's funny that you brought up the optiplex, I ended up buying an optiplex (Cant remember the model, but it had an i7-4770) with a 1050 installed (no, not the Ti lol). It ran well over 100fps in esports titles, and created my current love of PC gaming. Don't sleep on the optiplex builds, they make great entry level PCs for a couple hundred bucks!

I could play it maxed at 1080p with a 2gb 770 an i5 4670 whereas I struggled to play most other AAA titles going above low settings. I'm sure it doesn't run good off of integrated graphics, but that game holds a very special place in my heart given the devs actually thought to optimize it on top of making a stellar piece of work.

@4:49 That is an HGST enterprise drive ripped out of a NetApp Appliance. Judging that it originally shipped with MinOS 8 that means that that thing is from like 2011. The manufacture date of the drive is under the sticker that they oh so conveniently placed over it to make the drive look "new".

I have a 10 year old and 13 year old monitor so I'm using adapters to vga and dvi hehe
