I'm way late to the party but I may see a flaw in the testing. I would think that the startup, shutdown and just sitting with stagnant diesel in the pump would have a fairly significant effect on the wear of the motor and components. If the test was done correctly, they would have one with each variant for testing.
Is there any sort of longevity test for the older FP-100’s? Cuz I can’t seem to get more than 2-4 years out of those older pumps (10-13k miles/year). I assume the 4G will only work with an Airdog II base or newer? Is there an upgrade path for those of us who got in during the original Airdog days? Would love a more reliable pump without having to shell out for an entirely new kit/install if I can simply change the tower or tower and base.
A buddy of mine has one of these and I fell in love with it. You don’t know it’s there it’s so quiet. I got mine in today going to be installing it soon. 👍🏻👍🏻

What is my options on a stock 94 12v 3500 , the only plans I have now is basics need for compound turbo, slightly better fuel injectors , just a realistic tow pig work ?
@MrMotofy 9000 hours is still pretty crazy. That is over a full year. If you are a trucker and don't really idle the truck, it should last over 2 years. Assuming you do 2500 miles per week, 52 weeks per year, that is 130,000 miles per year. And with a half a gallon of fuel saving over 260,000 miles at 5mpg without vs 5.5 with, that's 52,000 gallons without, vs 47,272. That's a fuel saving of 4,728 gallons over the life of the pump. At $4 per gallon, that is a saving of $18,912. At $3 per gallon, that is $14,184. The math says the system pays for itself 14-18 times over its life.
Okay it's running for 9200 housrs but what about it actually doing what it's supposed to be doing was it still removing air from fuel and such. At how many hours did it stop removing air from the system but just kept running.
Why would you think it would stop removing air from the system? Not arguing with you just curious. I'm thinking about getting one for my truck and would like to get the best unit for my budget.
+tugboatman Yes you can. The 4G motor/tower will mount right up to an AirDog II base. If the need arises, give tech support a call and they will go over the options with you.

In the video it advertises a AirDog II in a 100gph version. So I went to the site and found the part number for it but there is only a handful of sites I've found online that have them and all the pictures say DF-165 which is the 165gph version?
We have a test going right now that is cycling our pumps 30min on and 30min off. We plan on adding a stand to vibrate the pumps. We had a pump on a vibration stand, but the air is shut off every night and we had to go upstairs daily to get the frequency right once the air was turned back on. We plan on going electric rather than pneumatic soon for that test.
You need a much larger sample size, an environmental test chamber and a vibration table. You need to put some thermal cycles and vibration on your samples in order to get a valid test. SAE has standards for testing. Running a box fan on your test sample, in order to keep it cool, invalidates that simple test you set up. Get some data logging software (Labview) and at least record ambient/motor/pump temperatures, motor load, pressure, etc.

On your test model, why didn’t you all use the push to lock lines and fittings that come with your units?

Of course not :) ...but FASS tests like 20 at a time...not 1
I'm sure it probably is still running, because pure flow makes quality products, unlike FASS.

It was the Raptor-4G. We released it last September.
