I’m not sure what you’re asking. Are you asking for advice on how to watch the set as you hit? If so this would be something you have to practice over and over to improve.
The 2 steps you see are the same last two steps you mention in your “traditional” approach. I isolate just the last two steps when teaching the timing. We teach that the last two steps are the most critical for the timing. The athlete in the video has already put her third to last “Left” step down. In my opinion hitters are free to have a 3-step, 4-step or however-many-step approach. They can have 8 steps if they want. But the most critical and same across the board are the last two steps. Those are the ones we are practicing in this video. Hope that make sense. Thanks for watching!
great video, thankssss , great team
Our pleasure!
Hi Coach Chijo. Thank you for the video. Could you do the same for left handeds outside hitters? It's hard to find material for us.
I’ll try and make one when I get a lefty in my training.
Also suggest tip for looking blockers while attacking
As you practice hitting against live blockers you will improve your skill on seeing the blockers’ hands as you hit. This comes with practice.
To watch a ball while hitting spike can u suggest some tips

Very interesting to see a 2 step Right Left and not the “traditional”3 step Left Right Left.
