It’s because the purpose is to look good while moderately protecting the phone. Not every single case more expensive than 1$ has to protect the camera because this one case did.
I am 100% sure that the guy who created the case that costs 1$ and has a camera protection will serve tanks in the price of 5$ during a zombie breakout

Being honest, the phone by itself would probably be able to withstand a 2 meter drop. I feel like we’re all paranoid because of our collective past memories but I feel like it’s so hard to break a phone just dropping it now

I literally changed my iPhone 14 pro max Otterbox case to a cheap tpu Halloween case I got off of Temu for 3 bucks & I love the fact the cameras are covered. I’ve dropped it about 2 times since the time I’ve had it from waist height and the worst damage I’ve got is mild scuffing on the case but barely noticeable; Fully expected a garbage product but it’s definitely surprised me
I had mine for 7 years and there isn't even a scratch lol my phone is bad but it better and more durable than an iPhone until of course my sister steals it somehow and breaks it and pretends she didn't do it like I had it for 7 years anyway I bought a new one after a month
He has a whole room of disposable iPhone and androids. He is just destroying a base line iPhone 13 and the 14 coming up next. His income itself and sponsors hardly put a dent what he destroys🫠🤣
The tricky thing about dropping iPhones, even in protective cases, is you may not see any signs of physical/internal damage right away. Wait after a few weeks or months and you'll find out that your TrueDepth camera is damaged and Face ID won't work anymore.
I never used phone case even tho i should cuz i drop my phone few times but there is no phone cases for my phone model at least not in the stores cuz my phones are outdated lol :D
