Ever since I read Madeleine as a little girl I dreamed of going to Paris. But “life” happened and I never got around to going. Finally, 2 years ago at 47 I finally made it to Paris for one memorable, dream filled week. But it wasn’t long enough! Thank you so much for your videos! They give me inspiration and joy until I am able to return to that beautiful cité!! 🇫🇷❤️
La Jocabin is my favorite! Duck Confit was amazing! Will be back in Paris for a day trip from Brussels next month and La Jocabin is the first planned stop!
Oh you two drive me crazy, I'm dreaming from moving to France anyway all the time and now I found this! A tour through special restaurants would be nice as well. Thank you for showing us around.
Absolutely love this channel. Great couple, obviously so in ♥️ too and great information on Paris. Amazing recommendations for eats, can't wait to try them when I make it to Paris after 25 years since I last went. Keep it up you two, always an enjoyable watch 👍
Oh wow, that was just amazing! My friend and I are going to stay in this area next March to celebrate my 70th birthday (last visited Paris very briefly 50 years ago!) and now I've seen this video, we will visit the same places you have shown. The food looks amazing! Thank you so much, love your videos.
Very good video that’s professionalism right there I’m sure 😏, thank you for your trust , we hope to see you guys soon, greetings from Restaurant “La Jacobine” 🙂👍
@@josuejudith6218 our 5th trip to Paris as we cannot visit Europe without a stop in Paris. We are visiting for the Christmas Markets and to celebrate our 40th anniversary, now 41 due to a years delay. See you soon!
Absolutely Love your videos. Coming end of April.Hooray!!! In addition to walking, I wanted to ask about getting around by bus inside Paris. I know it will take longer because of traffic but I feel it's a pity to be underground in such a beautiful city.
Paris is full of amazing French, Asian and Arabic restaurants, but being a regular traveller, I often want a break from the traditional, so I seek out other cuisines to try. One of which is always Mexican. One of my favorites is Fajitas on 15 rue Dauphine. I'm sure you'll like it.
And... Learned a new word/phrase ! Touristic Stuff ! Love it, so true. I too live in a huge Tourist town, our population way more than doubles in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Santa Cruz California. They come to the Beach, Sun, Beach Life, Surf Life, Skate, and hang out on our 50 miles of Beaches. Don't get me wrong. We LOVE these crowds. We do. But, it can be tiring? no? Always nice to see where we 'locals' go to unwind. Nice Job you two !
Hi, We are really excited about coming to Paris. We will need to test to continue onto London. Is there any way you can find out if any Pharmacie in Paris does the PCR test for our trip to London? We leave 12/27 via Eurostar and we need a test within 48 hours. Can you also find out if they will be open on Christmas Day? Otherwise , somewhere we can test and get results with 24 hours. That would be a Sunday. We are still excited despite the new requirements. But it’s for the best. Thanks 🙏🏼
LOL. You're looking for trouble from the Britannians (les bretons) by calling the Kouign Amann a "croissant with caramelized sugar" this is like saying BBQ pork is just slow-cooked pork with sauce :-).
OMG, I was just coming back to this video because I am literally at La Jacobine right now, and when I noticed the background...I am LITERALLY sitting on that same spot! This is awesome!🤗😊
Brilliant stuff again both. We often stay on Rue Dauphine so been to La Jacobine several times & in 2019 booked a small apartment literally 10m up the Cours St-Andre & the waiter could wave at me to say a table was free. :) Great food & such good staff, the guy in 2019 was Polish/Asian extraction I think & was so friendly. Never thought it would be 3 years to return but we will be there over Easter & bound to eat there a couple of times. Keep the videos coming they are really fab.
Thanks for the videos! We are visiting Paris in May 2022 and your videos are very helpful. Really appreciate the intel on food and restaurants! We’ll done!
I want to thank you both so much for your wonderful videos. I’ve gotten so many pointers from you and have put so many of your dining recommendations on my list. These are truly my favorite videos for France. I’m heading to France next month for my 4th time. Thank you!
Just discovered your you tube channel. ❤️ it! Can’t wait to try some of your suggestions when I’m back in Paris! Great informative, professional content. Latin quarter is one of my favorite areas.
Bon jour! You guys did it again…je t’aime Paris! I still compare every lemon tart here in the US to the tarte au citron I ate at a shop in les Halles many years ago…none could compare.
I live in Paris and love your videos! You provide residents with new ideas and places to go. I was also happy to share your videos with many American friends that were visiting France this year. I look forward to more of your ideas.
Thanks again. You've made videos out of the capital, but they seem to be short day trips. I would love to see you review the food & culture of other cities like Lyon or getaway places like La Rochelle or Montpellier. Btw, I've never seen another english language documentary - including Bourdain, Pepin, and Childs - that has shown the quality of everyday French cuisine like your channel, merci beaucoup!
Great video! We will be in Paris in 7 weeks and will surely go to several of these restaurants. One question, please: Since these are not typical tourist hotspots, were the menus only in French?
Btw why do you say St Germain de près is in the Latin quarter? Looks like the Latin quarter ends near ala procope. So Café Bonaparte, deux magot and at sulpice aren’t in the Latin quarter
