I just got back from Paris last week. Everything was great, but one fact that people should be aware of is that no matter what, you should make your restaurant reservations BEFORE you leave home. If you watch these Paris videos and spot some restaurants that you want to visit, keep in mind that while Paris is always busy, but it is double busy at this time and even getting reservations for lunch is pretty impossible unless you book way ahead. Many have said service in Paris is terrible. I had very good service and staff was always polite in the lesser known cafes that I visited.
With the world Rugby Cup in town, that has been especially true. If you have your heart set on dining somewhere, make the reservation. And, leave room to explore and discover a well.
Including the prices you paid make it easy to see why you’d prefer to get breakfast away from the hotel. And I have to say, when Antoine shakes his hand after a bite, you KNOW it’s good!
I want to register a complaint! This video needs to be an hour long! Awesome boulangerie excursion. Thank you for experience. Cannot wait for the fall comfort food tour of Paris. ❤
I would 100% watch longer videos from this channel. I love them for the foodporn and the Parisporn but they also fit that cozy/vibes niche I often like to dip into throughout the day when taking breaks, having a snack etc.
Now I want a Cereal Croissant! I'll ask my backery if they can bake something like that! Great video guys. Now you're even recognized on the street, have backstage tours, you're rocking it! Well deserved!
This video just blew my mind. My goodness the different foods and pastries I almost jumped through the screen. Everything looked so incredibly tasty and you guys presented all of it like a French culinary dream come true. Thank you so much for these fantastic videos.
Wonderful comment! I do agree 100% with you! I was tempted to lick the screen! 😁😁 If I win the lottery, I would move to France immediately! "Les Frenchies" deserve the Legion of Honour for promoting so nicely France and its wonderful culture.
Im just loving all these out side the box videos!! Still pertains to tourist, but gives us a small taste of the Parisian life. These videos are oh so helpful!! ❤❤❤
I love your videos!! Besides being very entertaining, they are so educational. What a pleasure it is to see you both realy enjoying the foods of Paris. Antoine and Colleen make the Parisian experience something to look forward too.
I am so hungry after watching this. Can’t wait to get there and have that multigrain cereal croissant! You know it’s good when he sings with his hands!! Another awesome video!!
Everything looked so fresh and tasty - Paris looked lovely in the sunshine, and not too busy! How nice to be invited into the bakery, now this poor man will have to make lots more after your video🤣.
Oh, my goodness! 😛😛😛 Not only mouth-watering, but such good value! In the UK, two coffees and two croissants would never be less than £10 - and often quite a bit more.
Loved the video. Will watch again with a notepad for sure. Thank you for your amazing content, we enjoy a lot! Cheers from Rio, Brazil. We will be back in Paris in January.
Also save money on water by asking the bakery to refill your water bottle. They are always happy to do it, tap water is fine here, and it prevents plastic waste
Absolutely wonderful. So many different things on offer, which I have not come across before. It is clearly time for a return visit to Paris. Thank you so much for showing us!
What a wonderful video!! They’re all exceptional but the baguette jambon beurre hit me with an immediate taste/crunch memory!!! At first glance, the escargot chocolate breakfast goodie was not going on my list until I realized the “escargot “ name was because of the snail shape!🤭
Hahaha, I love that you guys are such foodies! I am the biggest foodie, I know. This food just looks amazing! I went to Paris last October for the first time in my life, and I fell hopelessly in love with it! I cannot wait to go back! I love your channel.❤
Ah, merci boucoup! My favourite boulangerie patisserie didn't survive the lockdowns, so I'm glad to have these recommendations. Everything you had looks beyond amazing.
One on the fondest memory from my visit to Paris, last June; was a visit to a Boulangerie Artisanale!🥰the 🥐, quiche and Paris Brest I ate there; is one of the strong reasons I'm planning my next visit🙏🌎✈️🗼
Another boulangerie address : "Arlette et Colette", 4 rue de la jonquiere, near metro "Guy Moquet". So good it may not be legal. It's an association between a boulanger (hence professional bread maker) and a patissier (thus a professional pastry maker). Many "boulangeries-patisseries" are owned by either one or the other profession, so you may have good bread and ok pastries, OR ok bread, with nice pastries. Here you got the best of both worlds !
The apricot pastry would be at the top of my list i'm sure. I love love anything Apricot. You guys do such wonderful videos, a pleasure watching them all the time!! Best wishes to you BOTH always!! Keep up the great work...you make France look so inviting to this American Lady.🎉❤
So Sunday morning here in Oz. My early morning ritual is to watch you guys and Steve Marsh. 2 different but surprisingly similar videos about genuine experiences. And this morning both he and you met subscribers! He on the Isle of Man, and you with fellow Aussies in Paris. AMAZING! For those of us lucky enough to have been to France, your updates show how much we all want to get back. May or may not happen, but your videos (and Steves) keep the dream alive!, BTW, chocolate, pistachio pastry looks like it could be an all time favourite, along with a pistachio Paris Brest.
Thanks for sharing. I love that you include prices although when we lived in Paris 30 years ago, that was the same price but in French Francs. Has it really been 30 years???? Time flies. Love your videos. Thanks again.
Thank you SO MUCH for this mouth-watering video. I wish I could jump on a plane right now and be in Paris within 12 hours! 😭😭😭The prices are as incredible as the quality of the wonderful pastries shown. ¡VIVE LA FRANCE! ¡VIVE LES FRENCHIES! 😍😍😍
Love your videos. My wife and I will visit Paris for the first time next week. Definitely going to be utilizing your recommendations. Keep up the great work.
Great new boulangeries to visit when I go to Paris next. Thank you! Love your videos. Your enthusiasm and joy is infectious! It’s such a pleasure to watch your videos!
We're going to Paris in 1 week and I've been mapping out so many spots thanks to your videos (and Jay Swanson's). Colleen, I love your Tuareg cross pendant! I collect these and don't see them too often. I bought my first one in Niger in 1997 and recently had an old silver one gold plated. Yours looks like a rare one! Where is it from?
I have been drooling watching these mouth watering savoury and sweet croissants. Wonderful. The baguettes look amazing - I love the crunch sound and taste and the softness and flakiness inside :). Wow!
Another great video. Thanks! Here's an idea for a future topic: authentic wine bars in Paris. On our last trip we loved Willi's Wine Bar in the 2nd and La Belle Hortense in Le Marais. Check them out!
We had the great good fortune to spend 3 weeks in Europe in May-June, including 5 magical days in Paris. I was shocked at how reasonable the prices at all the patisseries/boulangeries and grocery stores were, all over Paris. It really was a joy to be able to pop into a place with all kinds of lovely tempting food and walk out feeling relaxed about the price.
I went to Paris for the first time last month. I instantly felt at home. Your videos make me miss Paris. I want to go again, but will have to skip next summer with the Olympics happening there. My dream is to live in France. We'll see what happens in the next few years after my kids graduate high school. In the meantime I'm working on getting better at French since I found my fluency lacking lol
We felt the same way when we visited this past May! Just…instantly comfortable and at home. Isn’t it a wonderful feeling? I too hope we can return in the next couple of years, and spend a couple of weeks, along with visiting a few other French cities. It helps that we’re retired, and so much of France is surprisingly affordable. I hope your wish comes true, here’s to you!
Would you believe, they sell Oranais aux Abricots at a local shop where I live in Manchester. It’s my regular Friday treat. I could smell and taste those Parisian baguettes! Yum! Thanks guys!
OK that whole grain cereal croissant looks insanely good and that place (as well as most today - the abricot pastry also looks great) has gone on my list of Places To Eat At When In Paris.
I saw you guys this afternoon! I couldn’t go at the moment I was paying my lunch because the credit card machine was not working ok, they changed at the end, but I went outside of the restaurant and tried to look for you guys but didn’t have success. I was at a restaurant a few meters from the Hotel Louvre around 3pm. It was a niece and estrange coincidence to see you since tomorrow I go back to my country (Mexico), spent 4 days here in Paris, I saw about 15 videos at you tube of you guys. Very interesting and helpful! Thanks for doing this. Saludos!
Well, now I'm hungry! I do so enjoy watching your videos; unpretentious, full of actual useful tips without being patronizing and most of all anyone can see how genuine you both are. Thank you. I think you are the only UA-camrs I have bought something from. I'm sure my Paris guide of restaurants will be getting great use.

It is actually cheaper to eat in Paris than in Seattle...crazy! I was wondering if you could do video on the differences between the US and France of where you find stuff. Like, in America, we expect certain items to be found in drugstores or in supermarkets that may not be found in pharmacies or supermarkets in France, and stuff we would find in a hardware store in the US -- how is a hardware store in France different? You could do a tour of a hardware store, for example. That kind of thing. Just an idea... Keep up the good work!
Love this video Colleen and Antoine!! Just in time for our trip to Paris on Sept 25 :) Is there any good bakery near Pigalle and Invalide Metro stations? Merci. Love you guys, you are so likeable!!!!
I'm French, so why would I follow your videos? After all, I think you make them more for foreigners, aka people who don't know what French find in bakeries and all that. But you know what, god it's a pleasure watching you two enjoying the things we get for "granted". Yes, they are common in France! But I also think we tend to get use to them and so, all their unique characteristics tend to vanish for a French tongue... Huge big up for continuously remind me all that ;)
Bonjour Antoine and Colleen. It’s Saturday morning here. I’m outside on my patio while the temperature is 73F rather than the usual afternoon temp of 100F. I am having my morning coffee. Wish I had one of those pastries. 😂😊
So when you find a new place, do you immediately update your guide? ... or do you have updates at designated calendar times. That croissant aux céréales looked so delicious!
Glad you found the whole grains croissant. I lived in Italy in 2005 and they were already in every bakery and bar. Somehow I know this is going to be better ❤
I'm parisian since birth and never had these kind of cereals croissants ! I don't like viennoiseries that much, prefering more savory stuff. My husband and I watch all your videos; we love them. This one literally made us drool lol. Is there any way you could do a video on restaurants and bakeries that have gluten free options. Unfortunately for us, we are both allergic to gluten. We really enjoy you eating it though. You two are so cute and in love. We’re from Arizona and we’re coming to Paris at the end of the year, can’t wait.
Thank you so much for your videos - we've just wrapped our week in Paris and avoided scams, pickpockets, knew how to take the metro and batobus and had some great meals thanks to your videos! 🙏
Any advice on popular spots for street artists selling their paintings? I was visiting Paris a couple weeks ago, mainly walking around 1-4 & 9-10 and the only spot where I saw them selling paintings were on Rue de Rivoli (outside the art club/gallery), behind The Louvre.

I pay $6 for 1 almond croissant in the US!!
But it’s machine coffee. That needs to be taken into account…

Thank you so much for your videos - we've just wrapped our week in Paris and avoided scams, pickpockets, knew how to take the metro and batobus and had some great meals thanks to your videos! 🙏
😊😊😊
I’ve seen croissants céréales in the States, esp for sandwiches. I had no idea they weren’t a thing at least in Paris. They’re so good 😋
Any advice on popular spots for street artists selling their paintings? I was visiting Paris a couple weeks ago, mainly walking around 1-4 & 9-10 and the only spot where I saw them selling paintings were on Rue de Rivoli (outside the art club/gallery), behind The Louvre.
Always lots on Place du Tertre up at Montmartre - I bought some in the past there!
@@marilou862 Thank you! Even Google Street View shows paintings for sale on 13 Place du Tertre so it looks like a safe bet!
