    Great video, very helpful. Can you translate the settings for PrusaSlicer? I know a lot of us are using PrusaSlicer vs AnkerMake Slicer right now.

    That slicer drives me nuts!! I'm using Cura. This slicer is like 7 years behind the times.

      Quite literally, it's based on an older Cura version.

    Thanks for this, I'm getting some good results with these settings. The only issue I'm having is that even with cooling disabled, the fans always turn on after the first couple layers, and I have to sit around and wait for it so I can go into the app and turn them back off again. Have you run into this issue?

    • @MicBot
      @MicBot  Рік тому

      Thanks for watching! You should be able to uncheck the cooling box in expert mode. The fan should not turn at all once it's unchecked. Let me know.

      @@MicBot That's what I'm doing, but the printer apparently ignores it. It seems like possibly a software bug.

      @@Noctuloquor very strange. I assume you have the latest firmware, 2.0.66?

    • @Noctuloquor
      @Noctuloquor Рік тому

      @@MicBot Yep, firmware 2.0.66, and slicer version 0.9.6_2. I'm going to try making a custom material with Fan Speed set to 0% and see if that fixes it. I'm wondering if maybe the default 100% fan speed for PETG is overriding the print cooling setting.
      EDIT: Nope, that didn't fix it.

    what version of their slicer are you using? i do not like the way the recent version functions. changing settings is kind of a pain, this looks much nicer

      This was the beta version of the ankerslicer from over a year ago. I think v0.6 or 0.7.
      I believe Anker has started copying Bambu and locking everything in the new versions of the slicer.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. I have yet to do my first print with PETG. Can you tell me what nozzle and bed temperatures you use, also, can you get away with printing direct onto the standard buildplate or do you use a glue stick?

    • @MicBot
      @MicBot  4 місяці тому +1

      Hello, a 0.4mm or higher works best with PETG. For the bed temps anywhere from 60-70 works. But always refer to the filament manufacturers recommendations. If you're using a PEI spring sheet then no glue is required.

    • @markmcgee6550

      @MicBot  4 місяці тому +1

      @@markmcgee6550 ah no problem. I usually print at 240 for PETG and if the material is infused it specialty PETG, Igo 250-260.

      The same setting I have in the video should apply in expert mode still.
      I can double check, I haven't sliced anything in a few days so I probably haven't installed the update yet.

    could you possibly do an updated version of this because the UI is completely different now , and they use different terminology for the settings because wall thickness isn't a setting in the drop down menu anymore and so are some of the other settings you talked about lol

    But how did you get the time lapse to work? I can only see record video or screenshot on the android app, nothing in the slicing app or printer firmware.

    • @MicBot
      @MicBot  Рік тому +3

      In the app, clicked "Me" then click time-lapse, click the gear at the top right, click the toggle and time-lapse should now work. Your printer needs to be connected to wifi as well for.the time-lapse to work.

      @@MicBot I have figured out how to make it work with basic settings on m5c The fan does mess you up if the printer is moving to fast . So I use 5% fan or 10% . When it is printing certain grids and going a certain speed then fan will ruin your print.
      I am using 248- 250 nozzle temp 88-90 bed temp. 10% outer perimeter support for first layer. May have worded that wrong. Using speed set as Normal then using the phone step it down to 25% to 50% for first layer then turn it to 75 percent after it gets going.... When going 75 or 100% of normal speed having that fan going over 5% will mess your print up...
      You have to watch this machine , Don't go to sleep while it's printing first couple layers with petg .. the software or something in the program can turn your fan speed up an mess your print up. I think the beds have low spots in some areas. So I am rubbing on adhesive with a paper towel. Let it dissapear then add another coat... I have z offset set to 0.08 now .. I am still learning about z offset but I am reliably printing now ... I will add some of your settings soon. Using push plastics petg
