By the end of this video you will be able to slice your first stl model in the AnkerMake Slicer!
I’m pretty familiar with 3D Printing however I appreciate that someone is taking the time to explain and show newer makers how to understand use use their potentially first printer.
Thank you for watching even though you're already familiar!!
Wow thanks for this video, did you do one for getting bigger statue? Exemple if the model is 2 inch can i print it 8 inch tall?
Actually easy to listen to and was great Information about how to use the ankermake slicer 😊
If I want to make a 3d print of a fist how will I do that how are you getting these images ?
Hey really quick. is there any way to cut an object in half and print half that object? then the other half after? i have larger projects im trying to print but they wont fit on the build plate
Is there a way to set a different infill percentage for different sections of layers? Say I have 100 layers and I want 1-75 to be 10% but I want 76-100 to be 30%
Thanks for your video. I have a question. If a model is too big for the bed is there an option to crop it and print it in two parts?
What’s the problem with using 0.1mm? I get it takes longer but isn’t extra detail sometimes good, why should they remove it?
Thanks for the great advice view for us completely new to 3D printing 🙂
I wish I could modify this video, because I think I got carried away in my own thoughts when I recorded. I got layer thickness and line thickness backwards in my head. I actually dont think there are any issues with using 0.1 mm layer height and a 0.4mm nozzle. Although I will still say this, if you are using a 0.4 nozzle you should still really stick with 0.16 0.2 or 0.24 mm layer height, and if you want more detail go to a smaller nozzle/less detail go to bigger nozzle.
@@ThePrintHouse awesome thank you - so to be sure if I want the “best” resolution print from my M5 then using the 0.2mm nozzle would be better, then do I use a layer height of 0.1 or does this need to be something like 0.08 or 0.12? And then if I’m doing a rough prototype I can use the 0.6mm nozzle again with what layer height? Is there a specific equation to work out what it needs to be? Finally, can all the nozzle sizes be used with the same 1.75mm filament?
Thanks so much for your advice!
@@ThePrintHouse Can I ask you what layer heights do you reccomend to print with 0.2 nozzle?
I just happened to watch your video. Thank you for informative tutorial. 6:00
I think there is a way around it if you don’t want to use support by flip the model upside down, that way it print the large areas first. Btw, do you have any video tutorial on how to change the shape of the models? Thank you very much. 🙏
I can't quite remember the example I used in the video exactly, but I presume that the reason that I did it the way I did is strictly for example purposes rather than the way that it should have been done in real life. As for tutorial on modifying the geometry of a model, that gets fairly advanced and I don't have a tutorial like that
Thanks for making these videos. Why wouldn't I just flip the second model (adapter_v2) upside down and print it that way? Wouldn't that alleviate the need for the global supports?
On the second model there is an overhang there that would also require a support. It would be personal preference how to orient the model. I did it the way I did because it would print more sturdy that way :)
is there a macOS version
What type of file model do you need to use from FreeCAD?
What does one have to do to initially get an object into slicer? You have a hexagon in your example, where is that from? how do i create the hexagon?
Hi! Did you discover how?
The camera on the slicer definitely needs work. That’s one of the main reasons why I am not using it.
Oh I agree the camera is awful. It has a bad aspect ratio also!!
How do you make multiple copies?
Need an update. Ankermake Studio is out. The first version does not hold a candle to the Studio.
