In this video I go over what is the best printer filament you should purchase for your ankermake M5 3d printer. I search amazon and show you the specs you should be looking for for your first printer filament.

The 3d printed cat looks so life like how did you do it 😆
Isnt it crazy how real it has become these days?
Your cat is like the best student/listener, so chill
Isn't she tho 🤣 she just wants to sit and learn 🤣
What are your recommended ankermake slicer settings for esun pla plus? Please share. Thank you!
I have had good luck with Aceaddity Silk PLA Dimensional Accuracy +/- 0.03 mm, I use a speed of 150 mm/s 18% infill , top and bottom layers at 5 , and a skirt line count of 2 , so far no issues with my Ankermake M5with adhession or removal of parts. using the Ankermake slicer
Where did you get that 3d cat model? so lifelike.
I got that 3d cat model 3 years ago. No batteries and it walks and talks too :o
What Ankermake slicer settings have you had success with with the eSUN filament you mentioned? I have been using the default PLA+ profile so was wondering if you needed to make any modifications to that profile
Also would be really cool if you could do a video on how to find the right settings when trying new PLA filaments!
I love my copper silk filament so far! I live in a dry climate so do you think I need to store my PLA filaments in containers? Also, I want a cat now haha
hahah I love my kitty :)))) Honestly you probably dont need to store it in a container, but I always recommend drying filament for about 1-3 hours just to make sure. I would hate to have a print fail or get ugly blobs due to moisture. Especially a long print.
A good general rule for PLA is if you have a humidity of 50% or less, you're fine to store them outside a box unless the ambient temp is regularly greater than around 80F. Always good to keep them in a box though to extend the life of the filament while not in use.
@@AustinDennis Yeah Ive found even if filament absorbs too much moisture it can usually be recovered unless it retains that moisture for a long time. You can dry filament as many times as possible, but as soon as it gets saturated and stays that way for like 4 or 5 months it's probably gonna have permanent issues
Where did you get the .stl file for the skull that is on your Creality printer. I have been looking everywhere for that .stl file!
What brand do you reccoment for abs and what settings for ankermake?
AnkerMake M5 can add 1.75mm + 0.02mm ?
I got my AnkerMake M5 just before Christmas. I’ve done a review on a dental printer (Simplex) and I run a resin printer.
One of my applications takes a printed model and presses a 1mm sheet of plastic onto the model to create an invisible retainer (like the invisible braces)…this is typically done on a resin model. If I use a FDM printed model the pressure and heat of the sheet plastic I’m forming will distort the model.
Are you aware of any FDM filaments that can handle this type of heat/pressure environment?
You are dealing with a fully printed model, correct? Also, what pressure and temperatures are you using? What resin do you currently use?
@@ThePrintHouse Yes, the model is fully printed. The PLA is a dental PLA that has stats similar to the eSun PLA that you commented on. The pressure that the unit processes at is almost 5mb and it heats the plastic sheet at about 200 degrees C. The forming unit is a Dreve and it only gives me heating times, so I'm estimating this.
ankermaker is very good printer
cuz its smooth
and no mess up
Do you like Hatchbox filament or are they awful?
I think hatchbox generally makes good filament, but I have had some hatchbox that was hard to print. That was a matte PLA, so the composition was different than standard PLA, so I dont know how I should really judge it.
When you screamed at me to not get creality, I had to rush and cancel my order on it.. saw such great reviews on it and others praising it. Wtf
Hmmm I'm confused what you are referencing. Can you please give me more information
What camera do you use?
I use a Sony ZV1 but I just got a new Sony a7iii. I just need to get it set up.
@@ThePrintHouse oh wow that’s expensive
@@3dprintingtoday yeah it will double for photography when I'm not recording for UA-cam :) I'm very excited to get it. I also just got some new microphones because my audio has been pretty bad in certain recording environments
@@ThePrintHouse I have an iPhone 13 with a ok camera is there like one 200$ I’m 14 so it’s hard
