If you think this plane is bad, try the Hunter F6. Same plane 10.0BR but you get flare hungry SRAAMs! It was 10.3 when the F-14 was added, let me tell you how fun that was...
How i wish everything was balanced, fun and fair for everyone in this game... uptier is pure hell.

Your key bindings for high/top tier - with all the radar slaving and various missile types Im sure a lot of us plebs would appreciate this type of tutorial. There is no "how-to controls" on youtube that I know of.

i have weapon select as z , beyond visual range/in visual range radar set to x, change radar mode set to 2 , lock target set to up on mouse wheel, flares and air break on mouse side buttons, flaps down as f and up as r. fire/arm selected weapon as space. This is the best combo i have found hope it helps
@@budibunbgung I use the num pad for all radar related controls, and 1 and 2 for guns and payload selection, and airbrake is still H and flares are on my mouse and F key (I usually fly using only the keyboard) and most controls are the defaults
@@Jonathan-yu9ui I've got pitch up / pitch down on my mouse (highly suggested) that way you can use freelook and dodge while watching your own 6oclock
@@EncrypticMethods I still have my mouse enabled for its default functions, I just meant in my previous comment that I tent to just use my keyboard to fly, I'll use mouse for freelook and stuff if I know there are other ppl, but the spotting system is shit so I end up using my mouse anyways

AiM 9bs are some of the worst missiles in the game and are very easy to dodge so it’s actually pretty balanced
It's 8.3 in sim, and goes at like 1000kph, so it's even more op there (and AIMB are very good in sim)

Hey, mr. Defyn. Just unlocked La-7, and i somehow manage to do decently well with it (getting good? who would've thought). And i would really love to see a video on that one (last La-7 was quite a long time ago), or it's main contender in soviet tree - Yak-9U. I would love Yak-9P, but you said that you will not touch that thing, so "U" is all i ask.

that whole rank is awful. use the finnish vampire to grind through it. it’s the most bearable of that rank and has the best rewards. brutal uptiers though
Swedish 8.0-9.0 planes are harsh I stopped grinding it cause was fighting Aim 9L in a stock plane that even when maxxed was just not that great

I stilll believe a mode "only canon" should exist, it would be a lot more "win" on skill and you could just take advantage of your plane on different situation, a lot more than where 20 missiles pop up. The game mode should be either a choice like arcade or RB or directly put in RB-SB and popping randomly as a game mode
and they should have ground mode without CAS too....
Hunterf6/j34 is super fun, sadly 99% of all matches are fighting A10s,F5cs,A5c, and su25s which just makes it cope zone. The f1 is the best but I live in fear the snail will make it 9.3 and make it fight in the worst match maker.
I usually kill bombers with the hunter and then kill the a10s and su25s when they use their missiles
i can’t even play air low tier to start researching my russian air tree a little because the mid map aa is so broken i hate it i don’t understand how something like that gets screwed up. in a few of my battles the aa from both teams had more kills than all the players combined and i got pilot sniped about 10 times by aa about 2km away from me in the span of about 30 minutes.

I have been playing this game for a few years now. Just getting into jets because I spent most of that time getting US and Italy to 8.0 ground. Somehow, I have managed to get some of either the worst jets, or just jets that I dont like. For americans I have the banshee and the sqaud skyhawk. For italy I have the vampire, which sucks, the G.91 pre serie which I dont like the 50 cals on, and im close to the first sabre which also has the 50 cals I dont like. Seems like ever match I get pilot sniped by midfield AAA or by some random su-11 thats always above me.
How do you make flying the Hunter look so easy? I've had the F.1 for ages and I'm yet to spade it, I find it unplayable

I have a 4 KD in it but that's only because A-4E players are some of the most braindead people I've come across in this game
@@doomedt-62 While stock grinding it, I played pretty braindead in order to get specific mods quicker, but I really do like the A-4E despite mostly playing normal swept-wing and variable geometry aircraft over deltas. Including the MiG-21Bis which I never really did well with, and comparatively with the MiG-23M (the 11.0 one) I actually dominate matches often despite its many weaknesses.

@@ISt0leYaCheese at least you can't be jump on by 4 guys at once with no counterplay option. I agree that it's not the best but it actually can pressure enemy fighter a lot when you manage to keep your speed. I play the 152 H and it's excellent, but when you meet 1p51h, 2 f2g and 1 spit, you're done and will not even get a Headon chance. With the he162 you can make them loose alt and keep them busy until your nonexistent team come to not help you.
Like Defyn said about bad plane you have to play it like a vulture and the 162 is quite good at this: coming at 800kph to drag fighter low and give your team a chance is really satisflying

Because the Japs have an f86-f40 with extra maneuverability and 2x aim9bs. The f86-f30 or f86f25 or f86a5 doesnt have those features
