Sometimes there are books that need to be written - Clive Padgett's autobiography has to be one of them, surely....!!! Continuing to knock it out of the park Mr Byrne..🤘
World could do with more people like Clive Padgett,, motorcycle genius,, absolutely fantastic videos,, thanks and happy New year ☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland
I really hope Clive writes a biography one day. These types of men are so rare and have much to teach about the importance of humility and integrity. God bless you Clive Padgett, a massive contribution to the industry on many levels, always with a smile. Thanks again Shane.
Super special family, hearts of gold for two wheels action of any sort. I wish our world had more of these families, the Haslam Family reminds me of the special connection they have made with riders for there riding schools. Just pure passion and love.
Met Clive at Olton Park about 20 years ago still as humble now as he was then! Would be lovely to see another bit at padgetts like a museum for all those championship winning bikes and all the other memorabilia would be some place!😍
What a lovely man Mr Padgett is. Deserves to be recognised by the establishment for services to motorcycling. Thank You Shakey and Thank You Mr Padgett
Please revisit, Clive is an inspiration and so enjoyable to listen to. Forget to say about the dent in the fuel tank on the Yamaha 750 so you have to go back!
Shaker, I would love to see you do a piece on the streetfighter v4s on and off track, being one of the most impressive Ducati riders in recent times, I would love to know how it fairs against a race bike etc… love the channel. Best regards. Lee
What an absolute gent Clive is and what an amazing memory too. Love the fact that everyone works with him, nobody works for him. That speaks volumes about the man
Ron Dennis, Ken Tyrell, Frank Williams, Roger Penske, Chip Gannassi are the 4 wheel equivalent of Clive Padgett. Thank you for doing this , it truly is motorsport heaven. :)
Go to Padgett in Batley and receive horrendous disrespect, they literally look down at you with one woman giving me evils. Never had anything to do with them again.
Great interview of a great guy. I had a 125cc road legal race tuned Padgett Yamaha two-stroke twin in the early 70’s. Full fairing, fibreglass petrol tank, clip-ons and rear-sets. When it went it was fast but if it was driven slowly it oiled its plugs really quickly and stalled. On every journey I carried a spare pair of plugs in the tool kit. Will never forget continually changing the spark plugs in traffic after the bike had stalled again.
In 1977 my mate Seffan had a padgetts Yamaha AS1 on the road, black full race fairing with rear- sets and clip -ons, standard exhausts and standard chrome air filter housings. It was faster than my Kawasaki KE125 trail bike. I had forgotten about it until i read your post.
I remember a guy that had a Padgett Yamaha in the late 60's that used to visit the youth club around the corner from my parents place in Stockport. All the motorcycles would leave the youth club at 10pm when it closed and I would go to the main road to watch them leave and the Padgett Yamaha would pass all the other bikes and disappear up the road at high speed. It was my introduction to the lifelong enjoyment of motorcycling.
Oi, Shakey!! Get back yesterday t'Padgetts! Thx a mill for the insights into passion & motivation of those great Northerners & their life for each other & racing........🤙☀️
Go on Clive Padgett 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻 luckily only live up road and worked on same road for years although him joining kicking football at tt 2016 with kids I’ll always remember
Both videos great Shane 👍🏻 What a great family run business and all seem very nice grounded people Merry Christmas and a happy new year and looking forward to next years videos

Small thing, but at the end of the interview, Clive looks up at the cameraman as well to include him in the thanks. What a wonderful man he must be
