This was absolutely fantastic! No spoilers and great information. I have already started playing and the tricks I knew about that you mentioned are spot on and there were a few I did not already know. I have a few to add myself: 1. USE YOUR MAP - the maps in this game are, in general, flatter and the access points are clearer. The red green system is still there, but you also have the ability to create waypoints to mark chests you can't open (that don't always show up on the map) and places you can go that you have not visited yet are in yellow. Seeing these yellow markers has already helped me find a ton of side content that I would definitely have missed because it is hidden pretty well in the environment and which walls you can walk are not always clear. 2. Do not underestimate confusion. It was mentioned in this video, but it is extremely effective. The ability to use it on multiple enemies is not expensive to get. Please note that you cannot do it to animals at all early on. This is not a bug. It's a story element. 3. Saving your XP. As someone who is OK but not amazing at these games, I can get myself into trouble that I cannot get out of and lose some XP in a death. Remember however that you only lose what you have earned since acquiring your last POINT not skill. So, if you have died in a situation where recovering your corpse and living is hard, just accumulate enough additional XP out in the world so that when you go back for your body, it pushes you to the point where you earn another skill point. That way, if you die again, you will lose virtually nothing because it is in the "protected" fully earned point. 4. For PC keyboard users remap your keys - the game is a little awkward about this, but putting key commands in easier to reach places can be critical. 5. There is an survival ability that you can get relatively quickly that will allow you to use your healing MUCH quicker. At first you may think this is not too big a deal, but remember that it is pretty easy to cancel the heal action by moving or having to dodge or block. This ability makes it almost instant.
One more tip, before you start your New journey+ do 100% exploration. Look for every loot you can find, if you can max out your skill points and you will enjoy your NJ+ much more because you won’t think about every crate and how to get to it, you’ll just have a story line to think about.
Here's another tip from a 51-year-old woman gamer: you can scan the enemies with biddies binoculars ahead of time and therefore gain their weaknesses instead of having to kill it and then have BD scan it to find its weakness
nice. one remark: there is one stim upgrade you can get even earlier than the ones you described. its directly after first using wall jumps in the meat area. hop onto a platform to the left of your meditation point and kill the droid there.
with dual wield, you CAN actually dodge/jump mid attack if you L1 at the same time as dodge. I think this makes dual wield an S tier stance as you can go hyper aggressive but still be able to effectively retreat
I really love the holo mini game. I wish it had unlimited situations, I could play that all day but I beat all the characters and now got nothing to do on it. 😢
The first stim upgrade is on Coruscant during the opening mission. When you drop into the meat area as soon as you hit the conveyer belt where you have to turn around and climb out, as soon as you’ve climbed out there is a little wall nearby that you can climb up and there is a security droid there and a stim upgrade, it actually appears at 12:31 in this video. Just make sure to thoroughly explore that area and you can’t miss it.
Hi quick correction. You can’t dodge cancel out of an attack with duel wield but you can cancel an attack into guard and into any move (which includes dodging) i have clips of me doing this. Also you can cancel a dodge into a guard which if timed right you can do a dash cancel which will parry incoming attacks
8:08 The absolute first Stim upgrade can actually be found during the opening on Coruscant. Try poking around the meat processing plant. Be sure to snag it now, because it'll be many, many hours before you can come back for it.
Something I like to do is use single blade and the blaster stance. Purely for cosmetics though, because I’ll use the single blade in close combat and switch to blaster to show different combos, and we know that you store up shots by doing that. So when it comes time for me to fall back I can use the shots and switch back to single when I’m ready to strike lol. I’m really enjoying this game
Honestly, they're all great but the best advice here is to leave Koboh asap. I went full explore mode and now I have to return to half of the map. At least I have the meditation points but it's way better to discover it naturally and organically. Great vid! Now the patches we we await
When I found out, I went about trying to see what other droids and creatures have secrets like that and actually found out that some droids in the laboratory can’t be attacked since they can give rumors. I highly recommend you check every npc for a rumor because they can be pretty fun to accomplish
Ngl I did this all organically because I like you check everything I can before progressing and I can attest these are all invaluable tips and tricks 👍 didn’t know dual sabers can cancel out tho that’s pretty cool
One thing I have noticed, there is an area right before you meet the ninth sister the 2nd time on corrisant you can go to the meditation circle and fight enemies over and over to gain skill points. I just started playing and Ive gotten about 20 skill points running this over and over total time about 1h 20min
b2 battle droids/missiles: i find it a little easier to force pull missiles then force push them back. i think the timing is a bit more lenient, and u can hold it for a bit before it explodes. but i think this uses 2 force actions so its less efficient on the meter

Another tip, don’t play on performance mode as it’s pretty much not reliable in terms of frames. From my experience on the series x, it’s better to play on quality as when I switched to performance the amount of frame drops and crashes almost made it unplayable. It seems like quality is going to genuinely be more stable until we get a patch that actually optimizes performance mode
I play on ps5 and performance mode is FAR smoother. Even with the dropped frames and graphical texture loading, it’s still far better generally especially for combat and movement.
PS5 performance mode looks so bad. I do quality mode / LG OLED 65" - looks and runs pretty good could be better but game is amazing and pretty stunning in some areas
@@randys8974 the low frame rate in quality mode just isn’t worth the visuals imo. Performance mode is much smoother especially in combat and traversal, and the game can still look beautiful at times.
Hard disagree. Played on quality mode for the ps5 version and it honestly didn't look much better than fallen order on ps4. Performance is where it's at imo
1. Don’t stress the stones for mystery card for stim you will find most of them on the way and can’t spend them. 2. If you are min/maxing using the skill reset should free up the point they make you spend on single saber while teaching you the skill tree.
Can't wait for load outs and crossplay. Also would be nice to be able to join from main menu, like original rather than loading you game than going to crystal. This is my favorite game. Lol
I can’t stand side missions. Usually, they are a deal breaker for me. I wish Horizon didn’t have side missions. But I’m okay with the side missions in Jedi survivor because they flow with the game so well. They just add to the discovery of the planet.
An additional fact to BD’s Slicing upgrade, once you unlock electro darts, you can shoot the droid for an instant hack, regardless of health, it has to be out of combat though
Yeah it’s actually hilarious. I started abusing that mechanic as much as possible. So many instances I dart B2, magnaguards, security droids, and droidekas and it makes encounters slight work lol
