The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third-person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. Don’t get me wrong, these are all great tips. But imo there’s no such thing as “wasting time” in a story driven/free exploration experience like this. Part of the journey is learning from your mistakes and becoming more efficient. I’ve never been mad at myself for over exploring. I always explored as much as possible in between story missions, because frankly it literally gives me more play time, and more time to soak in the lore. I love revisiting the once inaccessible areas of the planets because I’m already slightly familiar, and I get excited when a new path opens up that I couldn’t access before. I end up spending more time fighting and getting used to the combat, and get more opportunities to figure out more obscure lore topics. I find rushing the story to get exploration abilities somewhat dull, because you end up playing the first half of the game nerfed, and then all of a sudden when you explore the entire game and continue to the latter part of the story, you have everything. I like slowly growing and adjusting with the story, that’s just my take though
that’s actually a great outtake, in my free time when I don’t have to cover footage I definitely love to take my time and experience the game the way I enjoy the most - lurking into every corner as I go instead of waiting 😂 there are people tho, who absolutely don’t take pleasure in it and then when we say “wasting time” it’s more addressing them, hope it makes sense!

You could get stuck trying to do something to just realise that you get it at the story

I completely agree, I do things the same way, I get so absorbed in exploring that sometimes I put off the story a little too much. It sucks to just run through the story, and then it makes it less fun because there's nothing to look forward to.
Another tip for holotactics: Purge Trooper commanders are stupidly broken too. They rarely miss and have extremely strong attacks. Put some shield troopers in front of them and you can almost always win
Additionally, the skriton is crazy strong, if you can afford one, it's' always worth it
As for the first tip, you can tell whether you can or cannot explore locked areas just by checking your map. It will be highlighted red for MOST parts if you don’t have the proper ability unlocked. Great vid btw
I thought there should’ve been an achievement for throwing the bone into the Rancors mouth. I would’ve named it WWSD, or What Would Skywalker Do. Any other ideas for the (what should’ve been a 5 point) achievements name?

For those that want to know...
In the caves with the acid balls open each gate as you encounter them. If you dont, once you get to a certain room all 3 enemies will ambush you. The fight wasnt too hard, i beat all 3 first try but they are annoying 3 v1. I also was more or less fully upgraded by this point because i spent so much time exploring. Save yourself the hassle and fight them 1 at a time.
Ah so that’s why I fought them 1 on 1 and Andy got ambushed by all 3 😂 good to know!

As soon as you get the green door dash skill you can get the electro blaster for bd1 that's about 5 hrs before if your just running through the story just go to the place you get it in the story the moment you can pass through the green beams

So it looks like its time for me to go for point 9-6. Im im just back to the saloon after i confronted Dagan on the observatory (like 50 times on Jedi GM). But i looks like im not far enough in the story for getting all map upgrades. But i have all world restriction unlocks.

The big problem I'm having now is force lifting. In Viscid Bog now trying to get an echo but the shitty ps5 force lift controls of r1 + triangle keep making me perform Saber moves.

When I was in the caves I got ambushed by the 3 lightsaber dualists at once, not in different battles. I musta did somethin wrong, but I enjoyed the fight.
Nothing wrong at all mate, I believe it's because we both didn't kill any bosses on the route through the cave, so they all spawn at once! Hope you're enjoying the game
I'm at the start of Chapter 5 and still haven't visited Nova Garon. Maybe its during 5 or 6 but its not Chapter 4.
Man i really hope respawn rolls out fixes asap, i still cant play the game as it still crashes at the title screen on PS5. Ill try again in a few weeks or months once many updates hit, maybe then ill be able to get past the title screen lol.

yeah, there is one inside Phon’qi Cavern, scared the shizzle out of me when I dropped down initially 😂
@@evermorenikabruh it only startled me when I went the first time. I don't know if this is a bug or something but when I meditated and went back the Rancor was there again and that scared the crap out of me cause I just sprinted to where it was thinking it would be safe.
@@AnthonyJones-xk8ue I killed it, then got killed by the triple bosses and then when I went back, he was there again. Scared the shit out of me, and then I just cheesed it using the infinite little explosive ball.
@@AnthonyJones-xk8ue I did not expect another Rancor, so it scared the absolute ever-living hell out of me just lurking from the dark 😂😂😂 also I think it just respawns, it was like that for me as well. A nice way to get additional skill points too as Rancor gives you almost full skill point (and you can kill it really fast on the lowest difficulty). Now I only have one tree left with the skills 😂

Yeah, I had the same thing. No matter how many times I talked to Toa she'd never give me the location of the last one. I had to find the Devastated Settlement one myself.

tip. just play the main story to unlock the special upgrades and force powers. most collectibles require them.
I have NEVER seen a game with so much !@#$$$% . Its intimidating! You would have to be out of your mind to try to do everything there is on even one planet on this game. I've been watching videos for a week and the list just keeps getting longer. The devs really outdid themselves this time.

Mistake #1 : buying the game
hopefully they bring us a new patch asap mate, I'm still suffering from frequent crashes
@AndyReloads yeah im on PS5 and they did a very minor performance update, Instead of my fps dipping from 60 to 25/30 it now dips to 40 + screen tearing. I loved Fallen Order and would love to play Survivor but its just sitting in my library until they eventually fix it fully :(
Actually you can unlock the dart at the first settlement, approach the green shield with two troopers behind it and mind trick them.
First #teamearly Just finished the main campaign, real good story for Cal. I have really enjoyed this game from the start.

@@AndyReloads I enjoyed the exploration but I think they overdid things with the collectibles in the game. I argue that as the main story is so short, about 20 hours, they had to overdo the game with collecting stuff to keep players engaged and make it a 50-60 hour game. Its more a chore then enjoyment in the end. I like that you start the game with a lot of skills already such as the flip, wall run etc instead of gathering those again. I like that Koboh is not empty space but largely full of life.
The amount of time I’ve spent exploring for collectibles not realizing I’ll have them all on my map sooner than later 🥲

exploring is part of games of this genre. without exploration, fallen order and survivor would be just another cute sword games.
@@Maddog-xc2zv of course it is but that doesn’t make it any less frustrating when you walk around an area for an hour looking for chests and then unlock the upgrade and realize it was behind a door the whole time and you wasted an hour on nothing lmao
