My best tip is that once you get the dash, If you’re on flat or upwards slanted ground, you can jump and dash at the same time to immediately reset the timing and dash indefinitely with correct timing.
If you're not going to the cantina and talking to people every time you return to the settlement, you are wrong (the game even says to). Skoova alone is worth every moment helping him catch fish out in the world, but also inside upstairs. He's totally hilarious, and he definitely has high space tales to tell you. Every character is worth talking to in the cantina. Also, those random NPCs standing around in the settlement or elsewhere? Go up to them. Talk if you get the option. Go back to them later. Talk again. Sometimes it's a series. Sometimes not. Explore the living shit out of everywhere including in the weeds. Oh, bugs floating around plants? "Kill" the plant, get seeds.
@@kenneth69 Then you get the treasures added to your map and you start chasing some of them around. And once you've had to chase a couple around you get very "anti-Jedi" in your choices..
The best video on Jedi Survivor I have seen yet! Useful, informative and really well edited. Keep it up Andy - and please do some more Star Wars videos - I want more content 👏🏽
I'd also add spending skill points on upgrading the stim formula along with the tip of increasing health as a good choice for spending points at the start of the game. Especially since you only have 2 at the start, 3 if you unlock the door at Domas. Helps with fights when you get more health back from each stim.
I needed this video, thanks Andy! I’ve been wandering about-Coruscant to Koboh to Jedha to Koboh’s moon… back to Koboh and now once more on Jedha-aimlessly exploring and dying despite the map..
Wonderful & Thanks…. I’m a 55 year old gamer & do find open world overwhelming at times, so these tips will really help in what feels like a much bigger game than before.
There is a massive issue with the in-game bounty side quests. Even after meeting with Caij, and interacting with her in the saloon, the bounty rewards will not appear. I believe the creators know about this issue, but I haven't heard any updates yet. Frustrating when you're trying to complete (and clear) your quests/rumors. 😠
Just got a PS5 and haven't had a console since PS1, lol. So for me, it's mind-blowing. This game is ridiculous. I will say to any other beginners, the double bladed lightsaber is a total blast right out the gate.
Cheers for the kind words Paul and that's awesome to hear mate, I think this is a super fun game and I'm looking forward to multiple New Game+ playthroughs lol!
That's awesome to hear Tim! Cheers for the kind words mate, it genuinely makes it worthwhile and very much looking forward to making more for you this week!
I had no idea you could force pull the roller mines. Ive been leading them to the edge, jumping over them, then attempting to force push them to the destructible wall. Its actually surprisingly easier than that sounds but still a pain.
Beat the story this weekend on jedi knight difficulty, got some cool cosmetics and lightsaber parts, mained the blaster stance and duel wield, going to do a new game plus for a dark side jedi style build with the dual saber and crossguard, red blade of course.
I just arrived back to koboh after being on the planet you learn the jump dash from, i have 9 stim canisters, i am trying to explore everything available while i follow the story, and it definitely pays off.
You can still explore some stuff, but a lot won’t be available until you progress further. You can also find Map Upgrades (which we will talk about in another video) so it puts icons on your map so you don’t miss anything. Including scans for 100% database.
Exploring in this game is wonderful, I'm on my very first playthrough of it and I'm just about to make the crossover into the final set of missions, however I've been exploring as I've been going along the story narrative and as a result going into the final section I now have every single skill unlocked and all available stim canisters, I think it's going to help a lot when I start the final part.
One thing that dosen't get mentioned about the Single Blade lightsaber stance. It excels at aerial force saber attacks. Aerial Dash Attack in particular is super useful for busting down the guard of melee enemies and is faster than the ground version. Another thing I would like to add about leveling stances. The first upgrade you should get to on any of the lightsaber stance but Double Bladed is the deflection skill. The other four stances aren't as good as deflecting blaster bolts as Double Blade. But if you're running for example Single Blade and Dual Wield you will need the deflection upgrades to make up for the lack of Double Blade. Dual Wield is made more effective by a perk that increases stamina across all lightsaber stances by one bar. Especially when you consider you take more damage in Dual Wield. Having one more bar of stamina to deflect and parry incoming attacks is important.
That's why they've gated a lot of the exploration regions until you complete the story, with some of the traversal unlocks becoming available late into the story. I think they're encouraging you to finish the story and then return to exploration regions which you couldn't access before (I hit a lot of dead ends in exploration even after 20hours into the story)
Regarding Photomode, you can creat a quick access button to it without pausing the game. Under setting and controls, there are a option for Photomode as well so if you dont want to pause, this is an option as well
@@AndyReloads i only had one crash and lost about 20 mins of progress which i was fine with because it was just a cosmetic crate. There was a lot of bugs but nothing game breaking (we wont talk about the flying bilemaw 😂)
One thing I wish I knew sooner was how terribly it was gonna run on my computer so I would've bought it later once the bugs were fixed and would have had a better experience
For me, the flurry of attacks with the double blade make it the superior option, especially when you have unlocked two or three skills in that branch that allows you to keep attacking after you’d normally stop. Even if an enemy is blocking, the 20+ lightsaber hit combos drain down their stamina meter pretty quick and open them up for attack. The cross guard is obviously strong but it is far too slow to be useful, imo. You get hit multiple times for every one hit you land on an enemy. Dual wield doesn’t pack quite as much of a punch as double blade does. Then the blaster stance is solid but I just find myself using the saber more than the blaster in that stance, so I don’t really go for that one too much. It’s the double blade for me.
I really wish new game + let you keep your force abilities and bd upgrades that allow you to open the map, so that way you can finish the story and then 100% each planet one by one as you unlock them and play through the zones the correct way with new game + perks
Quick note, the accessibility option to toggle Force Hold is broken. It will randomly turn off. Dying, saving, cut scenes, etc., will turn it off, so you'll constantly have to turn it back on(sometimes repeatedly). It's been like this for5+ weeks now. No word on if they are aware. Several of us have filed bug reports for this. It's just frustrating as a disabled gamer that uses it a lot(a fellow disabled gamer needs it since he has one hand). That said, I'm glad you told people about this option since it and other accessibility options will help a lot of gamers who aren't disabled too(I'm sure holding that button for 5 minutes while doing a task is tedious).
I feel like the only 2 stances that are good are the single and double bladed. Ive tried to forc myself to use different ones in my second and third playthrough. And i just couldnt do it. The blaster is very weak, the cross guard is way too slow, and dual has no reach, i use single for single most of the time and double bladed for crowds and that seems to work best for me.
This game is so much fun. I've gotten stuck a couple times. And then when I finally figure it out I just can't believe I didn't realize what I needed to do before !
There was a chest in the archives on jeda,it was one of those ones you to open with bd1,I couldn't find it anywhere spent 2hrs searching, nothing, youtubed it,where was it?behind the window right fucking next to the chest. Map confused me 😂
I am stumped at which button or buttons to hit to use the lightsaber to slide down walls. I have fluked and pulled it off but now I am stuck and keep falling. Which buttons for the PS5 am I to press to slide down walls with the light saber?
Shortcuts are your best friend. Went to the moon for the first time and unlocked most shortcuts, went back the 2nd time and bypassed 95% of the path it made me take

Does adding the found parts for BD1 make it perform better like finding things from farther distance for instance? I hate finding a way to a chest only to find a pair of pants in it!!!
My best tip is play on Story level. It actually makes you feel like a Jedi and droids, Raiders and Stormtrooper's don't take 20 blows with a Lightsaber to cut down. You can always prove yourself as a gamer by playing Jedi Master if you wish on another playthrough if you wish.

I had a weird thing happen where I was doing the Journey + and I was playing in Story mode. All of sudden out of nowhere my health started taking massive hits if even one laser bolt hits me. I couldn’t fix it and nothing seem to change it back. Does anyone have any suggestions?
@@AndyReloads it’s fantastic so far! It’s a huge step up from Jedi Fallen order. Think I’ll end up trying to Platinum the game as it’s so fun, thanks for the brilliant content 👌🏻
Damn, only didn't know 1 thing on the list and it was about the little robots that hid! I thought they were cute so i never tried to kill them or any other droids for that matter lol.

Great work on Channel so far congratulations keep up great work.
An extra bit, which had me stuck and confused for some time! When you get to the asteroid base (you'll know it.. ) there are /red/ forcefield walls. The air dash upgrade you get only ever mentions green in it's tutorials, but will work on the red ones on that base. I didn't try it elsewhere to see if universally works on red, however. (nothing gets through white, bar a BD skill.. afaik)
I'm just wondering. You say just do the story mode first and then the rest of the game. What is the rest of the game? 😅 the story mode is the total game or is it not?
You can’t get everything, unless you will farm XP. I finished main story and did a little bit of exploring (64% completion) and ended up with around 80 skill points. Seems like a lot but you have 75 skills total and some of them cost 2 or 3 skill points.
Idk the point of the traversal runs and rules like can't pass through red. Figured it was that way in game(SPOILER!!!) when you chase boad to the imperial base, it has hella security and Red gates I automatically looked for a way to turn it off then thinking merrins charm would put you through them too
only four unlockable stim canisters? i've got 9 stims available and i'm not very far in the game? There were a few tricky ones to find but i've done a lot of exploration mind you, only just got out from trying to save brother Armias.
@@bainsvain my bad dude, I should of been clearer in the video! Apart from that, I hope other parts of the video were helpful and you're enjoying the game!
Double bladed and blaster stance is what I enjoy using frequently!!! What’s everyone’s preference? Also this game is so good! I thought the first one was incredible and this one blew it out of the water!
I use cross guard 99% of the time and the 2 lightsaber stance. I never tried out the other stances. I may play the blaster and double saber for my new game + tho
@@minatonamikaze6400 I love the cross guard stance, but man is it slow!! I gotta get a little more familiar with it I think and I could appreciate it even more
I always have Dual Wield equipped, and I switch between Blaster and Crossguard frequently for my secondary Using Dual Wield for defense and switching to Crossguard for the counter is a good way to wreck someone's day lol
@@Rooster1997 Yeah once you get good at it you can kill everything so fast with that insane dmg and stagger you do. Really incredible. And it's not really upgrade dependant. It's really strong even without any skill point unlike the blaster who just sucks with 0 points :(
I went Single Blade and Dual Wield my first playthrough. Single Blade is often overlooked but has very useful aerial force lightsaber attacks that can turn a defensive jump into an offensive jump.
The first few of these “secrets” aren’t really secrets lol I mean if you played the first game (which if you’re playing this one but didn’t play the first one, what are you doing?!? No one watches the last season of a show first and then goes back to the beginning of the first season!?! So why would you do that for a video game!?! And the excuse of “it came out a long time ago so I can’t play it on my system or PC of choice” doesn’t really work here) then you would have learned and figured those “secrets” that I’m talking about out already. But the rest are really good! That little guy that runs from you I kinda already knew about. But that probably only makes sense to me lol But yeah, all in all, a very good video! Thanks
One of my favorite settings is arachnophobia safe mode. As someone who’s terrified of insectoids and bigger spiders, I’m really happy that I don’t have to play half the game looking away from the screen because I’m fighting something I’m terrified of
Hopefully fixes on PS5 roll in asap so i can enjoy the game. I cant get past the title screen before it crashes, a shame because it seems like a hell of a game.

Do you literally need to finish the main story to be able to explore everywhere, or just get pretty far in the story? It seems weird that we'd have to completely finish the game before we can even go to certain locations.
You get upgrade the the ascension cable basically in the 4th act if I remember correctly. So pretty late. I think it’s more design with thinking about NG+ so you can play again with all upgrades etc.
Yeh mate, it's designed on the metriodvania game niche, which is based on utility-gated exploration and progression. So there's a lot of stuff in the game you can't really explore until you finally get all of the abilities (which do end up unlocking late in the storyline) as Nika mentioned below
The photo mode is pure bs on my Xbox X unless you max out the field of view everything is blob of blur and afterwards it’s still extremely blurry that I can’t even make out my lightsaber when focused on it. Honestly they will need at least two more patches to fix the lingering issues. Hell I have motion blur turned off yet I’m still seeing some major motion blurs in some areas. For a next Gen only game it lacked on quality greatly, don’t get get me wrong the game is fun but I can’t enjoy it as much as I want to especially in the motion blurs where I can literally make out multiple full body Cals in the motion blur and playing on a 75” tv so it’s extremely noticeable and clear to see. Hell I know it would suck but at least performance modes basically always worked in 1080p so why didn’t they do that then up the performance graphics at a later date? It just makes no sense to me when the constantly hyped it up since it was only going to be on next Gen consoles when my game is struggling to keep up I’m running fresh reset 4K hardlined and at the bar it takes me no joke 5 minutes (I even timed it) to get through some of the doors it literally is taking that long to load on Performance Mode. Me personally I would have accepted that temporary downgrade to the graphics (1080p) if it means a lot smoother gameplay.

The incentive to explore is surely reduced once you’ve completed the story. I hadn’t realised how many side quests there are.

I hope they do fix the graphics on the game because of my PS5 in 4k it’s tearing, so I hope updates will fix that situation
Completely agree mate
always great to see you in the comments mate!! hope you're enjoying the game!
@@AndyReloads just a few performance issues but otherwise a solid game for sure!
@@NKal spot on mate!
Not certain how far I am in the game but right now I'm just.
Halfway through I think. Don't have the dash ability yet.
If you explore Koboh as much as possible when you first get there you can have 6 stims before you leave. Do that before you go through the story.
I had a weird thing happen where I was doing the Journey + and I was playing in Story mode. All of sudden out of nowhere my health started taking massive hits if even one laser bolt hits me. I couldn’t fix it and nothing seem to change it back. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you for the spoiler free explanation of the game mechanics and play styles. Cheers
Cheers!
No worries Jake, hope you're enjoying the game!
@@AndyReloads it’s fantastic so far! It’s a huge step up from Jedi Fallen order. Think I’ll end up trying to Platinum the game as it’s so fun, thanks for the brilliant content 👌🏻
@@Jakorae me too mate, I'll be heading for that 100% also! Cheers for the kind words my guy, makes it all worthwhile 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@AndyReloads no worries! Thanks for the replies ☺️Do you have a favourite lightsaber stance?
@@Jakorae dual for me mate, just because I like to cancel the animations and not be locked in :D how about you?
I saw the storm trooper dummy and immediately knew i was about to get the blaster stance
haha I had the same feeling mate, quality!
Damn, only didn't know 1 thing on the list and it was about the little robots that hid! I thought they were cute so i never tried to kill them or any other droids for that matter lol.
haha yeh mate! I'm glad you learnt something new at least and I hope you're enjoying the game!
Asking a stupid question 😂here -- But Will you be Covering Ubisoft Star wars Game when it eventually release's fall 2024 or 2025 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽great video
Absolutely mate! From start to finish for sure, can't wait for that one!
@AndyReloads Sound that's great news 👍🏽 I Currently watch follow afew Channels on this New Star wars Game from Ubisoft etc and Yea in that case, I'll be following your Channel also on Game 🎮
We All waiting with true anticipation 😀 on this New Open World RPG Star wars iP Can't wait.
Great work on Channel so far congratulations keep up great work.
When you see fireflies - cut the grass
Wish I had known sooner >.>
great tip mate, cheers for sharing and I hope you're enjoying the game!
@@AndyReloads Getting some crashes, but when I can play I'm liking it
Yup
Pre ordered the game but not gonna start until Wednesday when I have more then 2 hours to play before work
I hope you enjoyed it this morning and work goes quickly for you Stephen!
(nothing gets through white, bar a BD skill.. afaik)
Oh epic, cheers for sharing mate, this is cool!
I really wish you had access to all stances at all times. Doesn’t make sense that there’s only two at a time.
I played the first mission earlier and oh my god this game is amazing just need to wait till it’s done downloading
hope you enjoy it Tom!!
My hud is on but nothing shows at the bottom like info health bars like I see in your video.
try rebooting the game after turning the setting on mate, it can be a bit buggy
When I slashed some bucketheads and then jump into photomode, the stormtroopers are t posing 😂
this is epic
Anyone else agree that cross guard and blaster are the two best stances
Bd1 also makes a noise if an enemy is close to you
Will you eventually get enough skill points to max out all skill trees?
If you're willing to explore enough, absolutely, I recently completed all the skill trees myself and I haven't even done the final mission yet
I'm just wondering. You say just do the story mode first and then the rest of the game. What is the rest of the game? 😅 the story mode is the total game or is it not?
I unlocked a bd per that shows every chest on the maps
Amazing tip that one mate, looking forward to getting it in the next video!
There’s one which shows every scan too
@@evermorenika add it to the list!!
Is it possible to unlock all 75 skills in the game. Or is there a certain number of skills you can unlock
You can’t get everything, unless you will farm XP. I finished main story and did a little bit of exploring (64% completion) and ended up with around 80 skill points. Seems like a lot but you have 75 skills total and some of them cost 2 or 3 skill points.
@@evermorenika Thanks for the reply mate!
Nika is spot on below Al, hope that helped mate!
Idk the point of the traversal runs and rules like can't pass through red. Figured it was that way in game(SPOILER!!!) when you chase boad to the imperial base, it has hella security and Red gates I automatically looked for a way to turn it off then thinking merrins charm would put you through them too
What are the chances of a dlc?
only four unlockable stim canisters? i've got 9 stims available and i'm not very far in the game? There were a few tricky ones to find but i've done a lot of exploration mind you, only just got out from trying to save brother Armias.
He said in the storyline. That means without exploring other places
@@xXGetGladXx ahh Rodger gotcha.
There’s 10 total, most of them you find exploring
@@xXGetGladXx Cheers for this mate!
I gotta get a little more familiar with it I think and I could appreciate it even more
I always have Dual Wield equipped, and I switch between Blaster and Crossguard frequently for my secondary
Using Dual Wield for defense and switching to Crossguard for the counter is a good way to wreck someone's day lol
As someone who’s terrified of insectoids and bigger spiders, I’m really happy that I don’t have to play half the game looking away from the screen because I’m fighting something I’m terrified of
Really cool they added this into the game!
Hopefully fixes on PS5 roll in asap so i can enjoy the game. I cant get past the title screen before it crashes, a shame because it seems like a hell of a game.
gutted to hear that mate, I've had several crashes myself today! Hopefully we get another patch ASAP!
@@AndyReloads Its frustrating but what can you do, alls good digging Horizon 2' NG+ & ill play some other games till its fixed. Great Vid as always mate!
@@SirFrostyFire715 Good shout on the coming back to it mate, will prevent a lot of raging haha! Thanks for the kind words dude and I hope you get to enjoy this game ASAP!!
I've had enough of damn ponchos from the first game. No way im wearing it here. Nostalgia or not😂
LETS GOOOO! #TeamEarly
Thanks for your awesome work mate!!
There is more than 4 stim canisters in the game, we start with 2 i am at 8, right now
yeh mate, you can get over 10+ with some dropping from the Legendary Adversaries
And if anyone wants to now it takes 120 skilled points to max out your character so if you’re willing to do the grind, it takes the time
ima say this i have only hated fighting 2 things rancor and that dam frog
#TeamEarly!! Let's get it!!!
hope you've been enjoying the game my man!
@@AndyReloads It's so class mate! Don't want to put it down!
