I know it has its problems but dear god i love Rage. I love the world design and combat, i love the levels. Just wish the writing was much better and it wasn't just two hub worlds.

Here's the ones I noticed: -The low mag warning sound on the Authority MG is the same as the one on Doom 3's machine gun. -The sound at the end of the rocket launcher reload is from Doom 3's plasma rifle reload sound. -The sound of the EMP grenade arming is the same as Doom 3's frag grenade.

One thing you forgot was the combat shotgun's magazine attachment. It was an item you could buy from vendors labelled as "shotgun extender" and it made you reload in one fell swoop instead of shell by shell.
Rage 1 is when the team behind it actually has a clear vision about the visual design & world building. Other than guns, every characters, even npcs bystanders has unique look full of personality on them. The environments also way more polished and compelling. Rage2 is such a disgrace to the first game, Avalanche studios is nowhere near possess the same creative capability to Id software. Everything in Rage 2 looks uninspired, bland, generic.

And the Authority pulse cannon and the sawed off shotgun should have been in Rage 2 too... this four guns were absolutely amazing; RAGE II has cool guns as well, (my favorite is the pump action shutgun) but still it kinda makes me sad that this beauties didn't make it... (EXPECIALY the Authority pulse cannon)
This is one of the most important part of the games that modern fps games neglect, the sounds of the weapons and how they feel, this reminds me of (quake 4) with the weapons, over the top killing machines.
This game is so underrated, has better gunplay & weapons than any of the Dooms IMO. I think if it released in a different time period then when Fallout and Borderlands were super popular, it could have been GOTY depending on the year.
Ya know sometimes I feel like I'm the only guy on earth that actually liked Rage...then come here and find out I'm NOT crazy. Honestly I prefer Rage 1 way more than Rage 2

On nightmare it took me one fat boy shot to the head to knock enemies with no armor, but authority have like high armor that it takes V2 authority rounds to kill them
I used to LOVE playing Rage back in the day, I'm actually thinking of playing it again, readying myself for rage 2. Hope it stands up to (or hopefully better) than the original. Ps: Mad max... MOVE OVER, there's a new fighter in the ring. (sorry, didn't know what got into me then).

Looking back, RAGE had some really deep combat mechanics. Oh and the AI and ragdoll physics...sweet, sweet fun. Too bad they were all wasted on a corridor shooter that felt like a glorified tech demo.

I love the little reused Doom 3 sounds snuck in places, it's rare enough to be charming.

The Crossbow and Nailgun should be DLC weapons in Rage 2.

I’ve never seen this nailgun till now, and I’m one of the few that bought the game back in the day.
It's part of the Scorchers DLC. I don't think many people have played it. I only found out about it by seeing it in the Xbox marketplace.

I didnt like the gunplay in RAGE1 . You needed 50 bullets to kill some enemies, more or less. It was annoying sometimes
True the ak assault rifle needed most of its magazine to kill an enemy.

That Authority machine gun was my favorite gun to use in Rage 1. I just really like its design.

Nailgun is from the Scorchers DLC. Sawed off Shotgun and the Fists of RAGE (spiked knuckles basically) are from the Anarchy Edition DLC.

Gunplay was hella fun. Especially once you got the nail gun in the scorchers dlc. Either rest was pretty forgettable.
