Welcome to my Elden Ring guide for beating Mad Tongue Alberich!
This is a challenging NPC invader who you can end up contending with very early in the game. This guide will explain how to put him down easily, and guide on his moveset and how to counter him.

I like how his heal is literally instant meanwhile you get locked into a 1 second animation gg
Alberich plays by his own rules
This boss fight is a prime example of why I have mixed feelings about these games. There’s a fine line between being challenging and being cheap. This fight leans towards being cheap. Unblockable attacks, my attacks sometimes go through him without causing damage (poor hit detection), he can kill you in two hits, ect… it just isn’t a fun or balanced fight.
Cheap??? Isn’t too difficult and has easy to read moveset… go level up and beat it when you are stronger or suck it up and bait
I thought his attacks were fine for the most part. His input reading got super fucking annoying though because as SOON as I pressed R to heal he'd cast his stupid ice spike move. The game wouldn't even wait for me to get halfway through the healing animation, he just casts it immediately upon your finger hitting the key to heal and you can't do jack
It could feel that way… I’m level 49 mage and don’t have much health so I feel this. Yet he doesn’t give me time to drink more fp so he comes close and my sword sucks lol

Lure him into the room on the left side as you enter the arena. He will get stuck in the corner near the bed if you time it right allowing you to stun him and get in multiple hits. I beat him in about a minute this way.

Bro I just found this mf after killing margit and had +10k runes that are now stuck down there with him. I have to choose to either kill the bastard or go on with my life, but 10k runes are a lot early game....... 😢😢😢

@@supersaiyanenjoyer in the village of albinaurics located on the south west side of Liurnia south of the rose church. Go to the site of grace near a well in the village, look left and there's a rope bridge, cross it, i can't remember if it was an item dropped by an enemy or in a chest but thats where I got it and upgraded to +5
@@supersaiyanenjoyer I also took my time and attacked at a distance with magic and after his attacks I would strike quickly and roll away
I used the whip to beat him. Due to it really good reach and it's quickness you can almost stop him completely from doing most of his moves.

I just noticed after defeating him, but it seems like the Twin Sisters sell a ring that you can use to call other players for help during an invasion
I believe that ring only works with conventional PvP invasions. An NPC invasion means you're on your own unfortunately.

Just got the game and just unlocked the round table went to explore and now all my runs are down there with nothing I can do

One important thing guys when he bows u can spam him with a katana that’ll instantly get him to half health. Than dodge when he try’s to counter attack u than just bait him from there than hell heal after then keep baiting you got this

It's a little complicated to worry about all the attacks he is going to do just dodge or side step at mid range until he misses with the scythe then punish him
I just used my axe with wild strikes , wait for him to spawn, then use wild strikes to press him into the corner between the door and stone wall, he won’t be able to move, or do any attacks

Such a memorable encounter (especially to any Souls newcomers who didn't know about invasions before Elden Ring) ... weapons/AOW are super stylish and the player can get them before even fighting him ... makes horribly underpowered blood sorceries look badass somehow ... only albino character I've ever seen in a video game (super pale, white hair, red eyes) and you can't even _tell_ he's albino without datamining his face sliders
It's a shame that players can't get much out of those blood sorceries. From had no business adding a magic school to the game that has a grand total of 2 balls-quality spells.
I jumped down into that arena with a lot of runes because i just didn't know any better...i just want my runes back man

In case you didn't know as a first timer, you can leave any time via your map. You can fast travel to a site of grace.

Ok if you are a caster class, this is really hard. My way of winning was to cast Glintstone Arc instead of pebble. This hit him a lot more. Then just keep dodging everything and casting when it’s safe. It’s a war of attrition

I unlocked the round table and went down there with bad gear and not I have lost 4000 runes
He's a tough one if you're not prepared.
I spammed him with the twinblade ash of war. It was pretty effective
Anybody that sees this. Just get the battle axe thats sold at the roundtable hold snd use the “wild strike” idc how cheesy this strat is this boss is bs.
If you want to kill him easy when he spaming ice ball go behaind him and backstab him

Just the Taunter's Tongue. It's an item that he drops that allows you to activate it. Neat eh?
Elden Ring has a lot of QoL features like that which are improvements on the mechanics of past games.
I had him, the game cheated me so hard.. He had zero life and proceeded to whip the tar out of me. Could have sworn I hit him again and no effect.
Get hookclaws. Kills him in no time. But I went into elden ring totally blind so I really struggled with him until I found the hookclaws in my inventory and tried them out.

All I did was wait for the bot to do the emote then I did a critical hit, after that I just it to run up to me and I countered with my Impailing Thrust speak lmfao easy af

@@CernyGaming Yes because they get flinched lmfao, after this, I first visited Caelid, and there was another invader there infront of the ruined church that liked to rush a lot and I punished it with impaling thrust aswell loool

I’ve been trying to beat this dude for hours I accidentally jumped in at a lower level. Is there anyway to leave the roundhouse and come back to him or do u have to Face him first
Hey! Don't worry he's not guarding the exit or anything. Simply go to your map and you will be able to select a Site of Grace you've previously used and teleport to it.
You can do this any time as long as an enemy isn't after you and you're not in a dungeon.
I ended up beating him god bless. But what can you use his tongue for though?
@@MayoMonsters The Taunter's Tongue is primarily a PvP item designed to even the odds, rather than giving favour to you, the host. It limits the amount of co-operators you can have to 1 instead of 2, while raising the limit of potential invaders from 1 to 2. This essentially allows for a 2v2 scenario, rather than the 3v1 in favour of the host that usually occurs.

This man is annoying I just killed morgit and have 9000 souls i haven’t wasted and I jumped down so I can’t spend them till I kill him

@@edgargarcia9818 If you go to the gateway site of grace, you can farm the mobs there for some runes pretty quickly. Then you can go back to the merchant at roundtable and buy a longer range weapon - I think they may have spears. That may suit you better for getting in some hits between his combos.
I went right into her face when she was spawning, locked target hit her with Angel's wing 3x ,dead. She wasn't able to cast anything.

When I tell you I literally just used the Lordswoen’s Greatsword with the continuous slashing ash of war with fire damage and immediately killed him after not even getting CLOSE for so many attempts, you better believe it because I have the clip somewhere

Just bought this game practiced alot got to level 30 before even fighting margit and defeated him without dieing this is my first time playing though i have seen some shorts of the game so i was expecting this game to be harsh on players but not even dieng a single time till margit i was so proud of myself and then i got invaded by this mf died to him like 10 times hes testing my patience i was too agressive on him, back stabbing only tickles him i try strong attck and then follow up with light attcks to activate my bloodloss passive and was trying again and again to not let him heal but that just wasn't working and these comments where people saying this mf doesn't even let u heal so true man 😂🙂🥹 now i am gonna go back and try to have patience in the fight and let him over extend thanks for the tips man. i am gonna fk this mf. 🙂

Guy has little poise so even a dagger can stun lock him after baiting a physical attack. Bled his ass with reduvia r1 spam
What i did was always moving away from him, when run towards me i just took 2 steps ahead swung my sword 2 times and repeated the process again and again until he died.

I used the graveyard syth with bloodflame blade and spinning weapon. Just ran to where he spawns and killed him with 3 spinning attacks, he didn't even get an attack or dodge in lol

A good trick is die by the big door on the left or right hand side then go past the giant. To the door on the bottom floor it should allow u to pick it up.

I was following a video on how to get OP early on and got to the round table, stupidly jumped down and haven’t been able to get my runes back since.. fuck me
I beat him with a +4 blood lordsworn greatsword. Keep close and spam bloody slash.
I just used the axe and held down L2 for the constant swings that uses mp 🙃🙃
Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best!
I just used the sword of night and flame using the moon skill, oh yeah did I mention that I leveled up the sword 4 times :)
Pfft he deserves it it's fine.
When he 2 hands the scythe the attacks become very easy to parry.
When enemies summon incantations they are fast
But when i do it it takes fucking forever even healing
Apparently all the NPCs have 50 Dex and the Radagon's Icon on top of the rest of their build.
I just walked up to him and used 1 corpse piler and he died
Most folk don't have end game weapons when they first encounter him.
Defeated him on the first try after watching this video after dozens of deaths
No help this boss is harder than the first main boss cant use any ashes got him down to quater health and he just healed himself to max again, hating the game for this fight

I jumped down there unknowingly right after i got 9000 souls from the boss earlier and im only lvl 10. Souls are trapped in that area and now i dont really want to play the game anymore. Super shitty spot to be in
@Beef Testosterone eventually I remembered from hollow knight that u must not care about the money just learning the run and exploring, 35h in lol 50 and I still get my ass whooped by most things if you step out of your level area :) can see this being a 200h game
Oh and still haven't beaten him yet, blood and freeze in this game seems to be over powered :)

I hate this game. I was just introduced to the round table or whatever with all my runes. Yk the place they tell you fighting is prohibited? I drop down the balcony to his little arena to learn that I have to fight him to move on with my runes and I suck monkey balls so I can’t do that. It’s just so cheap man

Had some other Red spectre NPC take me out when I travelled back to Table of Lost Souls, seems to have ransacked the place, kills me and i reappear where i teleported from, luckily no Rune loss. A major pain as I wanted to improve my Ashes but cannot do that until this little shit has left. Not even playing online, strictly solo.
Anybody know who this is, i never leapt off the balcony and his look is different to this Mad tongue guy.

I used claws and zoom&boom technique
Hyper aggressive strats work well too I've noticed.
I’m using the Vagabond class, I have a bow but don’t have enough dexterity to use it and have no magic, help 😰
Kill enemies to gain runes. Use them at a site of grace to level up your dexterity. Then you can use a bow.
You'll find spells and merchants that sell spells on your travels through the game.
Use the axe. Wild strikes stun locks him and you can kill him in two runs

Dragon Claw and Dragon Maw are OP if you can pull them off. I forget which, but one of them is the single hardest hitting thing in the game.

Kiting refers to remaining just outside of the enemy's range of fire, while continuing to move in a direction to either consistently avoid damage or lead the boss to a favourable location.
