✅make your own sourdough starter at home
ingredients:
filtered water
Rye flour/bread flour preferred
👉use unbleached all purpose if can't get your hand to either Rye or bread flour
✅temperature
👉room temp around 23-25c
Tip: try to have a schedule and pick a convenient time
for example: 10 am every morning

🛑day 1:
20 g filtered water with 20 g Rye flour
mix well and cover
🛑day 2:
20 g filtered water with 20 g Rye flour
mix well and cover
🛑day 3:
20 g filtered water with 20 g Rye flour
mix well and cover
take 20 g of your day 2 mixture and mix it with the day 3 mixture
discard the remaining of day 2 mixture
✅starting day 4 repeat the process twice a day for example 10 pm and 10 am
🛑day 4:
20 g filtered water with 20 g Rye flour
mix well and cover
take 20 g of your day 3 mixture and mix it with the day 3 mixture
discard the remaining of day 3 mixture
👉repeat the same process at 10 pm on day 4
🛑day 5 repeat the process on day 4 until you see activity in your starter
.
✅starter is ready to be used in bread as leavening agent when doubles or triples.
