What I cannot believe is that Leclerc signed a long-term deal with Ferrari. That man will be broken at the end of it. Ferrari is suffering.

Bottas has given up his entire career to helping others. He's a great team player but has sacrificed himself too often. When you see him in interviews it obviously hurts him but he will do it to make a difference. He deserves better. He and Kimi were the reason that Hamilton and Vettel were champions. I was so happy on the rare occasions that they stood up foe themselves. He deserves better than where he is now, he's brilliant

I think Oscar criticizing himself might actually be a strength. Oscar seems like the type of person who is pissed at himself after getting a 100 on a test but didn't do good enough to get a 110. He knows he can always do better and uses self criticism to drive himself to be better thus leading to more confidence. In short, self criticism depending on the person can improve confidence and focus rather than hinder it and I think Oscar is that type of person.
But eventually if he is genuinely talented it will cause another verstappen problem. Which means we will get more 1 man teams

Great shout on the Mentor/Mentee relationship between Bottas and Zhou. I remember Bottas giving him overtaking tips in one of the races, which was such a good guy move.
Supporting George emotionally has more ups and downs than someone’s bpm as they’re having a heart attack, like sometimes he’ll be the best driver on the grid like spa 2021 or Brazil 2022… and then you have races like Singapore 2023 where he makes dumb mistakes. I think he 100% has the potential to be world champion it’s just a matter of when he starts making less mistakes. Another banging video mate have a good one
Exactly! To be THAT close to Lewis throughout 2022 and 2023 (talking performance-wise and laptimes) doesn't happen by accident. He just needs to calm down at times, and instead of going for the move, wait a bit for a better opportunity much akin to Lewis. Dude's got some serious one-lap pace, and needs to work on his tyre management in order to improve his race-pace. Which is quite good but compared to his teammate.. nah.
I keep going back to his battle with Max in Brazil 2022. That's the one race which cemented him as a future WDC in my opinion. It also showed how, when he isn't impatient, he can get some good overtakes done cleanly.

Most of the hate for George has nothing to do with what he actually does. It's purely based on his snobby-sounding voice, and the fact that he looks like a ventriloquist's dummy.
Most of his haters won't admit even to themselves that they're so shallow, so they invent ludicrous things to be mad about.
Also, that crash with Bottas was Bottas' fault. You can't slowly drift across the track into someone's path when they're coming to overtake. You have to pick a line and keep it.
As a Danny Ric fan I watched this on a bus and when he said that Danny was past his prime I audibly gasped.

Might be late but... George Russells biggest weakness is Carlos Sainz winning a race. Every time Sainz won a race Russell crashed

George's weakness nr 4: blaming other drivers for his mistakes.

As an Alonso fan, I think it's also important to take a "short view back to the past" and look at his teammates. Alonso is a phenomenal driver, a generational talent and a master of race craft but he needs to be the sole focus of the team for that to happen. The only time he had a teammate anywhere near his skill level was 2007 Hamilton and he was having none of it. I feel that should be his main weakness and also a good reason as to why he may not move to Mercedes or at the very least not succeed while he's there due to the connection Russell has with the team.

What's this - an unbiased opinion!? I agree with your statement - In the same breathe I also feel like Fernando has the talent that is deserving of more WDC.
That is to call massa substantially worse... And while I wouldn't say massa was better, he definitely still has skill. 2007 also had a lot of anger coming from the team blatantly putting him to the side. But you're right - though I do wonder how that measures up nowadays.
@@Ryzard sad thing is Massa did get worse after his 2009 accident. Won't say it as fact but many other drivers like Piquet "fell off" after serious head trauma. Don't think anything else can explain going from almost winning the title in 2008 to fighting outside the points in 2010. Sad that people downplay his talent because of how badly his performance contrasted with Fernando in equal machinery.
@@Ryzard You have to remember that Massa had his accident in 2009, before Alonso joined the Scuderia. Felipe wasn't really performing the same afterwards.

George Russel's driving style is literally every kid you've ever raced against online who dives first lap and ruins the race for everyone else

Rather than have experience & prioritization for Piastri, I think he somewhat suffers in race management, having a slower pace compared to Lando.
And his biggest weakness is just shit luck, sorry to say. Making contact with Hamilton & suffering a puncture while Hamilton went on to gain I think 2+ positions. Also getting squeezed out by Sainz & breaking his suspension, both happening in really promising races.
His biggest problem is tire management. He didn't learn it well enough to be even close to Lando's tire management throughout last season.
It is also why he is generally better in sprints, since tire management is less important here.
Spa was on him tbh. It was Sainz fault by the rules, but Piastri should've known better than to put himself in that position on lap 1, Verstappen even said as much after the race (and Max would know, considering he did the exact same thing to Ferrari's second driver a few years back himself).
@@Evarakeus Sorry but what should he have done?? He couldn't go left because there was Sainz, He couldn't go right because there was a wall, he couldn't break because the person behind would ram into him. Sainz should have left space he was fully aware that there was a driver to the right of him and still pushed him into the wall. You can't block by literally forcing yourself into a corner while pushing someone else against a literal wall. He is supposed to back down because Sainz can't follow the rules?? That's some bs right there
