- Today's video is about all the Bad F1 Opinions I came across while scrolling through F1 twitter, UA-cam and Instagram. Did it traumatize me? maybe. Was it really fun to look at complete strangers argue over who can glaze their driver the hardest? Yes.
Honestly, the F1 community can be a great place, but once you get into the slums, the posts with more replies than likes, that's when you know you've hit the jackpot of F1 opinion hell. I saw a comment of someone wanting to slobber all over Stroll's c*ck. That genuinely traumatized me 😭😭😭
And I am 90% sure the person who tweeted that was a straight man (ngl thats what made it funnier).
Overall, I really liked making this video. Honestly so much fun to see the worst F1 takes and just tare it apart bit by bit. The longer I worked on this the more I wondered whether the people tweeting the bad opinions were even real. Seems like a fever dream half the time.
But genuinely the F1 community needs way more positivity than it gets and one way to do it is to spread it ourselves. For all the drivers, like Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton or Esteban Ocon, they will have their low points and the best way to deal with it is to give fair criticisms instead of screaming "washed!" from the top of our lungs.
They all can get criticism, but fair ones that aren't blown out of proportion. This applies to everyone...except for the last two drivers I mentioned.

Recency bias in F1 has gotten so bad. Its like their attention span only lasts a racing weekend. Saying drivers like Charles Leclerc are washed is actually insane.

During the race weekend you’re bombarded with all the news and drama so fast you can’t process all of it so people just stick with the sensational headlines and run with it. This paired with the general lack of nuance in everything today gives you this situation
Completely agree. Obligatory disclaimer: Max fan here. But I still rewatch Leclerc’s legendary drive in Bahrain 2022, where he so beautifully nabbed that DRS detection point and outfoxed Max multiple times… and that wheel to wheel racing… it was beautiful.
It's wild when it comes to Max, mainly because people are used to him winning all the time. He hasn't won in 3 races for the first time since 2021 (which is an insane stat btw) and he's bad. First bad race in a while and suddenly he's shit, as if the rest of the season didn't exist

F1 is a sport that will never have an objective G.O.A.T. There are so many factors and while yes, it’s fun to debate who’s better than who, should never get as pathetically toxic as it does.
There's also that F1 over the years isn't really the same, so comparing people from different times just sounds pointless.

The reason people hate Oscar is he's threatening to take the spotlight away from Lando. I say this as a Lando fan. It's not fair to him. No I don't want to see Lando be a number two driver, but if Oscar's good enough to come into a team and establish himself as the better driver within a couple of years, then good for him, I'm glad we have that kind of talent in F1.

I do have a Max hot take. I don't think he'll ever be washed, but he will leave F1. My take is that when he leaves F1 he's going to chase the Motorsport Triple Crown. His hunger for glory and winning is unending. And I think he'll get the Triple Crown, but also attempt to win the championships in the other two legs of the Triple Crown.
Max will either die driving or will be racing Endurance in his 80's.

Piastri's a future champion. He's still finding his stride and he's already at the sharp end of the grid.
F1 is definitely more of an Engineering competition than pure sport in my eyes. The fact that a mount rushmore driver like Alonso only has 2 wins in his 70 year career is testament to that. Throw Max in an Alpine and let's see how many races he wins despite being the best overall driver on the grid right now.
*He has 2 World Championships, not 2 wins, he has 32 wins, but he hasn't won a race in 11 years.

People who say F1 isn't a sport seriously need to do go through a fitness programme like the drivers. Also they should do a Singapore GP or a few laps at Qatar with a car that holds 110kg of fuel, where it's really humid at night. Qatar was really hard on all of them in 2023. Not one of them wouldn't last a even a lap or even 10 laps.

I used to be a MASSIVE F1 fan as a kid/teen. Specifically and especially Michael Schumacher. Not long after he retired I kinda just drifted away from it. For the past two weeks I've regained a LOT of interest in the sport, but just wasn't quite sure who to root for. Luckily, youtube came to aid, threw a few Lando videos into my recommendations and now I know. I'm really excited to get back into it.
