Kinda harsh on Mick Schumacher. I wouldn't say he was babied, seeing that Steiner didn't treat him super well and he was under a lot of pressure from his name. He also improved and was at Magnussen's level for most of the second part of the season, the car had just regressed into the midfield by then. Wouldn't argue for him being much higher, the words were just harsh imo.
Bottas over Perez. Sure Perez may have had higher highs but Perez had much lower and longer lows. No idea how you did that. Also Charles over Lewis. Lewis beaten by George twice? I'm sorry Leclerc Is top tier ALL the time. Lewis is wavering between goat and "is he ok?".
34:55 Bottas achieved 10 race wins, 20 pole positions, 19 fastest laps and 67 podiums in Formula One. He holds the Formula One record for the most career points without a World Drivers' Championship (1,797).
@@yirgadamtew I disagree, Lewis and Charles 2 and 3 is in my opinion pretty solid. I don't think they are interchangeable with George, Lando, Alonso and Sainz. I do agree with George being at least 3 places lower though. Since out of the four mentioned I think he is the worst.
I would rate Valtteri much higher. Of course he was beaten by Hamilton in 2020 and Ham and Ver in 2021, but there's a reason why we had the Ham-Bot-Ver meme. He was always there on the podium, taking poles and at least staying fairly close to Hamilton, also ensuring the constructors for Mercedes in 2021. He was the best truly second driver in a team ever imo. And when he went to Sauber he was still conbincingly beating drivers in faster cars (especially quali) but the car became shit
Not subscribed, but I never miss a video thanks to the algorithm always bringing me back, actually. Great ranking and content as usual and the Giovinazzi bit was hilarious, but a bit harsh on Norris tbh. Painted his season too negatively and in my opinion, his flawless drive to victory in Abu Dhabi single-handedly clinching the constructor’s title would’ve been worth noting more than “almost” crashing in Singapore and “almost” losing 3rd. Either way, hope your videos get more traction and you can continue to make the best long-form content in the F1 community 👍.
Im sorry mate but the norris bit is a joke. Yes he had the fastest car for the majority of the season and couldve done better, but thats kinda tough to do when your OWN team is fucking you up week in week out. Only focusing on the negatives making it seem like he had a shit year when in is first year fighting at the top consistently, he finished second in the drivers, won 4 races, got 8 poles and won the constructors.
The bit in the Mick Schumacher section about his engineer. I actually rather like Gary Gannon as an engineer he seems calm and collected, which is what you want.
People forget a lot of things about how he did because they worship Steiner and he made sure to trash Mick at every opportunity. I wouldn't have placed him any higher but come on.
If you think in 2021 Both Russell and Norris had a Best result of second. However Norris' came in the 3rd best car, Russell's came in the 8th. That says it all.
The whole drivers ranking is a mixture of driving talent combined with workethic, the car, the strategy team and the team development race. It doesn't say much about the isolated driver performance.
I think I figured out why the algorithm has been bad for so many F1 channels - it was all the breaks this season It’s not just your channel I found other channels no longer appearing on my feed either
The last 4 races of 2024: Max in the RB was quick in the dry and in the wet in Brazil, and won in Qatar. In Abu Dabhi he was quicker in Q than Ferrari but messed up in the first corner. In Vegas he was ahead of the Ferraris, but they were a bit quicker and he had no reason to fight them. The notion that 2025 “will probably be a fight between McLaren and Ferrari “ with no chance for RB seems quite a bizar one to me. The McLaren was faster mostly throughout the season, and Ferrari were faster through the middle part. But by the end of the season Max was beating the Ferraris and got more wins than Lando. The idea apparently is that they will not be there simply because Newey left…
it depends on how you rate max and checo, you could say the red bull is the fastest car and checo is just underperforming like mad, or the car is a midfield car and max is incredible
@ Well that is not really relevant for this discussion is it? The point in this video is that RB and Max will probably not be in the title fight, and the last four races of this year show that that combination is actually at the moment as fast as anyone.
