I'm a Brit who spends a lot of time in the USA and it's true, I mostly get treated with contempt and fear until they hear my accent then they can't do enough for me. Kind of rude.
It's the same but in reverse for me. I get treated like shit in Europe until I show my passport.

@@superc If you know about the US and the “idiots”, then you know about the negative experiences black people can have on a regular basis and how fear is regularly used as a cop-out to excuse hateful behavior.
That's exactly why I was a little rubbed the wrong way at her opening, I'm not like the others. We here all know it's like that and that many across the diaspora take advantage of that prejudice and use it against us black Americans to their advantage. That's the magic of comedy when it's done right. Or maybe it's how similar we all really are. Also the official language of Nigeria is English, not 'Nigerian.' Same with 'Canadian.'

I love how she's aware of the racial and social differences as it relates to the treatment of African Americans and other Blacks from foreign countries, i.e., (special blacks). Most blacks from other countries outside of the U.S. especially British blacks, like to act oblivious as if racism doesn't exist in their country. (See joke about British ninja racists). She very intelligently incorporates facts into her comedy. My moving to Israel as an African American only validated this bias that we've already known, as well as the subtle European racism outside of America. The ONLY way you won't catch onto it is if you're uneducated or naive. Nice and she's funny. She doesn't try TOO HARD. ❤
As a Black Brit, I know most of us are not oblivious to racism, a lot of us have experienced it and will often argue that it DOES exist in the UK. Remember we are a much smaller minority in the UK compared to the USA. Only 3% of the population, according to the last census in 2011. Maybe some are oblivious, but same with some African Americans despite their blatant history. In the UK, we are hardly taught about any of the racism that went on here, so we might be less knowledgable of the history but we definitely see the present day issues.

Love her, but she needs a new routine
There is nothing more absurd than censorship in a comedy routine, not to mention how much it annoyingly detracts from the experience. Hopefully, you've figured that out in the two years since you posted this. (Had to quit about 2.5 minutes. Just ridiculous! Back to the other channels that don't do this to her.)
