i love how she hangs up the phone all slow and calm. hilarious!
One of Britain's best exports and one of Africa's best daughters 👍🏾
She is right, if I hurt myself when having a seizure, my kids use my Uber app and take me. $6 is cheaper than the co-pay.
She's right, it would be cheaper to fly back to London
My first child after he was born in the hospital was gaven a binkie that thing was 400$ I was like wtf is it gold
@@bluebird4815 wealthy??? You mean wealthy in debt...
Someone gotta pay that trillions of debt adding on each d ay...why you think some americans need to work 2 or 3 jobs
@@bluebird4815 that's where socialism takes you. Monopoly price gouging
😂😂😂😂😂😂💀
@@mikolowiskamikolowiska4993 i agree
@@lok6314 your absolutely correct
For 15k, she might have well just taken a flight back home and gotten medical treatment. America really needs to do better. Their level of capitalism is evil.
That's literally the punchline of her last joke lol
American doesn’t have capitalism, we have thievery by the wealthy that is subsidized by the working class and propped up by poor dumbasses that vote for the likes of Trump
Seeing americans argue about healthcare as a non-american certainly is an experience.
Could have flown back and forth to Taiwan 15 times and still paid less.
Health insurance mandated by govt is not capitalism
It's socualism
And you lot keep asking for more and wonder why it just gets worse
More proof that the best comedy is rooted in the absolute truth!!!
So many countries have free healthcare, which I believe comes out of taxes. That for the most part the people are fine with paying because it benefits them too. And it works and there are first world countries like England, Germany, Sweden, Spain, France, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, etc. Where people aren't bankrupt or die because they do something human like get sick or injured. Where they are in disbelief that in the US healthcare costs so much and that Americans will put off seeing the doctor as long as they can, even when it's serious and life threatening.
As a Dane, I can confirm this! The American system baffles us so much
The NHS here in the UK is far from perfect, but at least you will never be in a situation where you have to decide whether medication is more important than a roof over your head or eating.
@@gyata7270 Sadly here in the US, a lot of times it's not just the person who needs the medical care being wiped out. But the debt being so great that it effects everyone else around them and future people as well.
@X R Your not alone, as an American I'm bewildered by our healthcare too.
No there is no such thing as FREE healthcare!
Everyone pays its share and that"s then distributed among all the people.
And that's a very very important distinction that Americans have to understand.
It is not free it is fair.
Gina is an absolute style icon! All of her iterations are my main fashion Inspo these days... As a cardigan & sensible shoes queer, I am in 💗💗💗 with this look!
I love her! I wish she was lying about it.
Gina is always amazing!! But can we talk about that rock on her finger💖😍💖😍💖 congratulations to you my African sister
She's amazing!
Gotta agree with her there. Got a large number of extended family members in Asia, and if I was majorly hurt while I'm in the US? I'd rather book a flight to Asia and get a first class hospital room there until I can be discharged, then go to some nice resort and holiday a bit. And it still wouldn't come to half of what I'd spend if I was in the US.
Why is THIS not what folks in the US are rioting about?
They've been distracting us with attempted coups, the murdering of black people by the cops, and whether or not drinking bleach will stop covid! They've swung back around to the health insurance issue a bit now because of Covid-19. Basically, how it works here is that you have to be at or below the poverty level and then you can have free health insurance off the state and federal government. I personally would willingly pay more in taxes if it covered all my medical needs. A little over 20 years ago, I cut my little finger on a glass that broke in the dishwater. I felt dizzy and had to take a 30 minute ambulance ride to the nearest hospital because I lived alone. The ambulance cost $400 and the stitches for my finger cost $1000...for medical treatment that took 15 to fix my finger! And that was in the late 90s! People sometimes lose their houses over medical bills here. It's crazy!
we do protest for it. every freaking year! the sad thing is that this is a capitalist country and so those in power don't want the rest of us to have it easy, they want to keep it all for themselves and they can't keep it all if they're not making anything off of us.
Apparently, we accept whatever corporations tell us instead of getting outraged and pushing back. Healthcare in the US is a big moneymaker, and our Congress “representatives” get too many perks/gifts from these corporations to truly represent our welfare and wellbeing.
FOX, CNN AND MSNBC have turned Americans into sheeple... also reality TV
Just what Americans need to hear about healthcare.
She’s so right.
Whoever gave this a thumbs down you dont have a Sense of humor.
Cheaper to get a limo to the hospital. How depressing. I hate it here
Leave.

The NHS isn't free, it's paid for in taxes and national insurance contributions. As poverty and unemployment skyrockets, less and less money goes into the NHS. Our wonderful NHS staff are being paid peanuts and the whole system is crumbling. Why is our government not sorting it out? Because they want the NHS to crumble, so that they can bring in private healthcare, and so they will benefit from the financial kickbacks.
Love Gina Yashere!!
Just to fact check that the amount of tax and NI we pay towards the NHS is about half of what the average American has to pay on insurance premiums and they still have to pay bills because insurance never covers 100%. Poverty is a real problem but employment is at a long time low in fact we are short of workers. You explain perfectly why the NHS is crumbling. The Conservatives who have been in power for over a decade fundamentally don't like the idea of it. Their party opposed the set up of the NHS back in 1949. The only reason they never openly admit this is because they know that would be electoral suicide.
And it's a deliberate plan by the Conservatives to force the public eventually into buying into the private health care system like the US. It's interesting how Boris talked about coming out of Brexit to put more money in the NHS. The current nursing strikes exposes these lies. What country would choose to follow the US system when they were the originators of a national health system copied in different ways by other countries. Self sabotage but for whose benefit?
@@barrysteven5964 👏👏👏👏👏

It's for the benefit of the people in power. Who probably all have the highest BUPA health packages, anyway.
I swear she's like a black Edna Mode from The Incredibles, and I'm here for it! 😂
FYI, attention to the far-right trolls. it's called free, because it is free AT THE POINT OF DELIVERY. That's the longer term just shortened for "free". Obviously it's funded by taxpayers. Just like how NASA is taxpayer funded, or the entire US military, all 760 Billion dollars of it, coming from taxpayers. It's free at the point of delivery because patients don't need to pay up front when they get seen by the doctor.
It's not just the far right - I know rich, so-called progressives and Democrats who don't want free healthcare for all either. They've all been brainwashed.
This is way past too true!
Lmao, true story, I thought I was having a heart attack and decided to walk to the hospital. It was like a fifty minute to an hour walk. Didn't wanna go too fast.
Yep it cost us $33,000 with the birth of our daughter .🤣
Holy shit, fuck hashing kids
Wait??? Is that could be right??? Omg that is unbelievable
That's fuckedddd
that's nothing, i cost a million dollars 😂
.... it would've been cheaper to take a vacation somewhere else with proper healthcare during the last month and give birth there. Even if you weren't part of the free healthcare bit by not being a citizen, it would've still been cheaper than in the US
I. LOVE. GINA. YASHERE!!!!!
Please come to Dallas Texas.. when all this craziness ends..

She’s right. I have heart palpitations and I’m more scared of the bill.

No lies told.
Tht last joke was 🤣🤣🤣
im curious where this took place, the crowd seems mostly elderly
Oh yeah, I remember the pre existing conditions bullcrap
It funny, because it’s the feckin truth..
Hilarious
The Insurance companies have bought out the politicians, so it will never pass both houses. The German system of Health Care would probably a far easier system for Amercans to swallow.
Where is the lie tho?
#ForceTheVote
Yeah we have cheap health care but it's really long waiting times
Two faces of the same coin, if healthcare is economically inaccessible for the majority of people then you have short to no waiting time to get healthcare but you will have a population with endemic health problems. If you have accessible healthcare you will have a healthier population but with long waiting time to get healthcare.
Same here in Argentina, it also isn't that good. But we also have private hospitals, so whoever wants to get treated soon as possible and very well goes to a private hospital, and those who can't afford it go to public ones
I think ours in Germany is better compared to UK. I got to see a doctor whenever I want.
I mean, we have long waiting times in the US so it wouldn't be any difference 😂
thats BS, my mom used to live in the UK and the waiting times there were no different than the ones here in the US
This is hilarious but it also makes me so angry at our uncompassionate abusive system
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Folk correcting facts like, hello? It's comedy, not the 9 o'clock news! 😆
That's not true. Not everyone gets NHS care free. That misconception has caused a lot of healthcare tourism and then when people find out they have to pay they run off and the NHS looses money. You have to have permanent residence/been in the UK for more than 6 months/be signed up to a GP or have been born in the UK to get it "free". Also private care does exist here too but we will only use it as a last resort for example if waiting times are too long.
Yeah obviously it won’t be free for people without citizenship or a stay
@@jc_80 its actually not obvious to some which is what I explained in my comment.
Sure! I just feel that people who say that figure that "you are not covered in the free bit because you are not a citizen or resident who pays taxes" bit was a given
That's comedy lady, not a documentary.
Tbf it’s pretty much free if it’s an emergency the NHS trusts rarely even follow up for payment after. And if you’re European you can use your EHIC card here and outside most should travel with travel insurance. But for the most part it’s free at point of use for our citizens which is Miles better than the US. And private healthcare doesn’t normally cover any emergencies so you’ll be shipped off to an NHS hospital if a routine procedure goes wrong
Ya th e joke about breaking an arm fixing in Spain, live there 2 years in semi luxury, rebrake it get it fixed again and then fly back=first break cost in America is outdated... just live in Spain now and break a bone every week. You would be better off
And I thought Mexico's health system was the worst 😅
Not at all. Many Americans are medical travelers who go to Mexico for non emergency treatments.
America spends all its money on missles.
Damn this is so bleak
So why don't Americans just stand up and say "we're not going to do this anymore"? Everyone knows your healthcare is a total joke, and hugely inefficient, and yet nobody seems capable of doing anything about it. Really odd.
But don't watch this and be under any impression that the NHS in the UK is either free or particularly great. It's better than the US, and about half the people who use it don't pay towards it, but the other half pay a fortune in tax. And when you turn up with a severed leg, don't be surprised when it takes 9 months to schedule an operation to sew it back on.
Health care in England isn’t free, I pay tax! Nothing it’s free.
She said that tho. Everyone pays a bit more tax so everyone has access.
Free at point of use if it not. Rather that then relying on insurance and capitalist businesses
The average tax and NI that goes towards the NHS is roughly half of the cost of the average American health insurance policy. And they still get bills because insurance never covers 100%.
This bit'd work better if u were French or German. I know you're holding it up to Obammycare, but it's a bit weird when the _NHS_ is the better option, then innit?
FREE HEALTHCARE isn't FREE
Of course not, everyone pays a little more in taxes and people would have access to the care and medicine they should have. Insurance shouldn't be able to control everything
......about the taxes. A majority don't have any problem with paying tax because of all the benefits they get. Some doesn't even think about it, the salary is big enough to live a comfortable life after the tax is paid. The minority that whines about the taxes is just cheap and selfish.
And the amount we jointly pay in taxes is very much cheaper than the amount it will be to visit a US hospital.
@@Pellefication WELL THEN let's make food free while we're making free shit for everyone, no wait that would make American a communist country. I was right, Free healthcare isn't FREE
Joey K O Compared to what you are paying in insurance, it's practically free here.
