pedro S. The jokes were hilarious, but he has really bad comedic timing in this bit. There wasn’t enough time for his audience to react before he moved to the next joke. I’ve seen him in other videos and this one felt weird.
Yeah I think the crowd was to busy trying to make head or tails of him. It was a really good set. Maybe slower for an American crowd. Not because we are slow but I can see how you are a lot to take in. Need to ease people into your Australian madness.
Very funny! Watched other sets from this festival and they're quiet through most of them. Some great material always goes unlaughed at by these audiences in Montreal.
Love Joel Creasey! He looks SO GOOD here! As usual, Montreal is giving dead fish energy. They don’t deserve a giant comedy festival their crowds suuuuuck
@@FieryFlamingFajitas Thank you! I'm from Texas and work in retail. Customers always ask me where I'm from and, when I tell them I was born and raised here, they respond that I talk too fast. I always want to respond with, "I don't talk too fast, you just think too slow", but I'd be fired instantly, haha!
@@Ten13Grl I can totally relate! I'm a retail worker too and I've kind of gotten used to the reality that we will often have slow people with very little comprehension or ability to speak clearly lol. And then you try to be nice and they're rude to you 🙄
@@Ten13Grlspeaking clearly when dealing with strangers is pretty standard. The older someone is, the less accustomed to alternative speaking styles they are. It wasn’t always as common as it is today to hear communication styles that varied, and when your main job is to help people, the onus is on you to _be helpful_ and a huge part of that is proper articulation. I did tech support for many years for international clients and I’m a fast talker (adhd 🤪) but I made it a point to speak clearly. After the first “huh?” that should be an indicator to annunciate more clearly and slow your speech down. Don’t be condescending, just be kind and clear. Tons of people have auditory processing issues and if you’re experiencing pushback with any consistency that shouldn’t make you misanthropic, it should make you self reflective . An example of what I mean by this is; in my case, I’m an artist and for many _many_ years, something about the way I say the word “paintings” sounds like I’m saying “panties.” It’s really funny and has caused a lot of confusion. I’ve also in retrospect realized that in many of the less comfortable interactions I’ve had with people, this is very likely the culprit. I don’t think of this as “people are dumb and can’t understand me when I talk about paintings” or whatever, my takeaway is that I say the word “paintings” weird. Thank god I’ve had enough friends and cool people clarify in real time what they were hearing so I could realize there was definitely a pattern, bc now I don’t just flippantly refer to paintings when talking to strangers anymore. “I’m still waiting on my wet paintings to dry” “I sold all of my paintings at the show” “I have to hang my paintings and then I’ll be free” “that couple has a few of my paintings in their living room” “movers have destroyed my paintings before” just hits different, you know?
food drops like third world countries u said u says. its disgusting bro. how do u feels if Aboriginal calls u murderer and invader. please never says anything bad about other countries. peace bro. !!
"No, stay in bed, stay in bed, GET OUT!" 🤣🤣🤣
U r so funny
Underrated. I can't believe nobody was laughing

@@BhmnRhpsdy99 I mean the rest of the world kinda forgets that we need to give Americans 45 minutes to process a sentence
@@FreddieKayHpretty sure this was filmed in Montreal. The Montreal comedy festival has been pretty notorious for being a sh!t crowd
@@BhmnRhpsdy99I disagree I think his timing is great
audience was so dry. material was so quick and clever.
Homophobia
The punchline to his mom should've been, "You can do anything at Zuumba!"
Agree. Deserves much more laughter. If it's an American audience, it might explain.
I’m American I enjoyed it 😂
Montreal. French Canadian
Haha, savage! 😂
Montreal is a terrible crowd, year over year, I don’t know why they keep giving these fools this festival
OMG I was cracking up the whole time epic
Joel is a captivating story teller
I think he doesn’t talk too fast, he just needs to pause so everybody may get it
Love this man’s humor!!!
Wow he must have been first on. Crowd wasn't drunk enough yet.
Dear Joel; You're wonderful.
Joel is sooooo yummy! I love him lol
Th comedy is rich, raw, daring and shocking for too many - they don't get it or they don't know what to do. Comedy for brains.
He's stuck in the "I'm GAAAAAaaaayyyyy" moment that happened to all college dudes in the early 2000's. The moment is over. He's boring.
Great story thanks!

a lot to take in. lol
A lot to take in?
I watch this everyday now

Yeah! Montreal sucks as a crowd, it’s consistent. Year over year
This is very funny XD
Love Joel Creasey! He looks SO GOOD here! As usual, Montreal is giving dead fish energy. They don’t deserve a giant comedy festival their crowds suuuuuck
This is hilarious. Perhaps the fast speech was too quick for the French-speaking crowd to grasp ?
This should make his comedy set stronger. Very funny and abusive with his punch lines 😂
Tough crowd!!!
This guy is funny, but he talks to fast!!!!
😆😅😂🤣
He's just bad at delivering his jokes. The content isn't bad, he's just so frantic with it.
But that's just his style. Watch other videos of him, the crowd laughs like crazy. This one's just a tough crowd.
Love u guys
Hilarious!
gotta slow down and emphasise the phrases of the bits if these people arent australian
This is brilliant. x
🤣🤣🤣🤣
If they bleeped out arse, they've got to be American.
The censorship was absolutely unnecessary.
Squad up
Promising 👍👍
Needs to talk more slowly and pause for effect more. The underlying content was great though.
Talking slowly is for dumb people 🙄

Why does he hate his mom that much though???
What gives you the impression that he hates his mom?

Wow ! Is that what it's called stand up comedy in Australia ?
