That field of grass at 2:09 in the Amsterdam Forest (Amsterdamse Bos) is one of my favorite places to be amazed by those airplanes flying right over your head! And the sound of the wind which comes like 30sec after an airplane is gone is also amazing😀
Amsterdam sure is a strange layout for the runways. The architect could possibly spent his nights in the café when he was working on Schiphol. Only see it from the air/map. Been through many times and not noticed. One of the best airports I ever used. That and Singapore Changi.

Dont worry you can still enjoy flying planes by using flight simulators like x plane 11 and fsx. They are very good games for a pilot and anyone who has an ambition. Please check whether your computer is compatible with the game. Its a costly game. And you also need a very expensive computer for gaming. If you are rich, you are good to go.😄

Beautifully landscaped Airport. I do believe I'd have loads of fun, being assigned to mow the grass for them. Just before I started the mowing project, I would load a generous number of great Camera's, their accessories and a nice lunch stowed in a cooler. What a fantastic Plane spotting advantage would that be! Beautiful Contribution. Amazed with all the runways, more specifically the layout of each one. Certainly made for a great view of a somewhat unique approach. The first I've seen. Thank you for that. I enjoy the fact in which you Fast forward through the rather mundane portions. I believe we concurred on this very thing in previous posts. However, I'd appreciate it, if you might allow some consideration in providing Real-time views, further back on the Approach. This would help us enjoy the spectacular views of the Cities Composition.
Great mounting of that camera. How about one (or 3) rear facing cameras giving you (as pilot) a direct view of the wings, tail and engines? Could help with troubleshooting technical issues without the delay of asking another plane to flyby to take a look. Camera could be behind pitostatic tubes or other such structures to avoid drag.

It depends on wind. Airports have their runways aligned with the prevailing wind, as takeoffs and landings need to be into the wind. When winds are all over the place, runways will be as well. Typically only the runway(s) aligned with the current wind will be used, so ATC isn't as bad as it seems.

This procedure is used when the winds @EHAM are strong and from SW. Runway 27 has a very precise ILS (Cat III) which is used here to stabilize the approach until a certain point before 27s threshold. If (and only IF) at this point the pilots can see runway 24, they "break out" of the ILS-glidepath for 27, turn left and hand fly the aircraft to runway 24, which has no ILS. Freighter pilots like it, because runway 24 leads straight to the cargo ramp ;-)
Brilliant! Loved the speed. You cannot truly relay the scientific unity with witch man and machine work together so artfully without the speed you used for the lead up cutting through clouds. I have so much more I could say I appreciated it so much. Moving on though, I thought to myself but the landing must be normal speed and sure enough! Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant!

the autopilot did it. he only flew the actual touchdown. (after the last turn he took over).
