- Hi guys! It's that time of year again :) I headed over to Hongdae to visit the Days salon where Dean gave me a Korean wave perm :) The perm really helps control my hair in this humid climate here in Seoul and usually lasts me 6-8 months. The rainy season is officially starting this week so I'm glad I got my hair done just in time haha Hope you're all staying happy and safe and I'll see you next time~

Living in the usa has caused so much trauma that literally everytime I see you outside or somewhere without a mask it leaves me so shook. I forgot that there are people living in places where you don't have to carry sanitizing wipes to wipe down your drinks or food or use hand sanitizer literally everytime you touch something. I would probably have a panic attack if I went to the hairdresser right now and had them stand so close to me.
I'm glad I get to see you living life though. It gives me hope that I can do that too someday!

I live in the US as well and did actually go to the salon just today. At the place I go, masks were required the entire time for both the stylists and clients plus each station was sectioned off the plastic curtains. Everything was also sanitized after each use. But I get it. I truly do. Not every place takes such precautions.

I had a quick Korean salon experience when I went there 6 yrs ago and it was really nice. They serve you snacks, even though the staff didn’t speak a lot of English, they try to communicate. They’re pretty friendly and the service and final results were excellent!

been living in SK for nearly 2 years now, and can tell you its not xDD i really miss the UK. But travelling to Korea is a whole other thing, and I really do recommend it :)
Don’t put your hair in a hair tie for the same amount of time you wait to wash. Usually 3 days. Your hair is setting into place. The dent looks like it set into your hair. 😬 (I’m a hair dresser)
I'm sorry...but could you tell if the whole process for her perm has been correctly done? My mom always got her perm done, and it's suppose you have to be gentle with your hair after perm beacuse it's setting in place. However, they have "relaxed" her curls while it was still in the process of setting...so...they just created frizz. Am I wrong? I've seen the whole process of perm my whole life...it is supposed to look waaaay better than that. She is so cute and thankful that is content with the results...

I've had short hair for years, but videos like these have convinced me to grow it out completely when I move to Korea. Color me silly... I know I can do it anywhere, but the options for haircare/beauty in Korea seem so glamorous! Lol

is it just me? I can't see a difference with the perm :(
I think it was to touch up her roots and smooth out her new growth, not really to "curl" her hair.
For a long time, I habe been "perming" my hair by using large rollers all over. Doesn't really curl my hair just gives it a "lift", a bit of a bend and makes my fine, thin hair look so so much better. I have been told I was crazy to do it that way because perms are for making hair curly only. Looks like that is essentially what they did.
Lot of effort for zero results.
It looks thicker & not as limp to me. I'm considering a keen again,it was the best my hair ever looked as it just went wavy not curly.
@@juliethomson360 I bet she sees results. She probably doesnt feel the need to blow dry and style her hair anymore. It just looks like that naturally now.

I love your natural hair colour so much! I run into the same problem that my hair has a natural wave to it, but it is unruly at times and weirdly straight at others. I had never thought about getting a perm to control it, but may have to look into this... Your upload schedule perfectly aligns with my work breaks which I couldn't have dreamed to ask for a better chain of events to occur. Hope you are staying well
