Never been. If I was limited to one place to visit it would be Old Seoul -I love the old parts of cities so much more interesting than modern boring office blocks. If I got a second choice it would be the library- I used to visit the British Library in London 2-3 times a yearso Seoul's also looks fascinating. Nice to see your happy smiling faces and hear your lovely laugh.

Really great video! It was fun to see even though I am Korean myself. I spent a long time overseas and came back to Korea for a short visit. It's been 4 years and now I have new places to visit :D I majored Architectural Engineering when I was a student and I actually had the chance to visit the DDP during construction. As I'm sure you could tell, we LOVED the hanbok experience and wearing it around Seoul was something we'll keep great memories of. Have a great rest of your Saturday!
Just discovered you guys! Excellent job with this video. Love your narration, how natural you both are, unpretentious and warm. You also covered a lot of ground with no unnecessary contents. I've been watching a lot of travel videos lately and what I dislike the most about some of these travel vloggers are all the unnecessary fluff they include in their videos, like getting off the train station and walking to the hotel, giving a tour of their fancy (or crappy) hotel, riding the hotel elevator and walking out of their hotel, etc. Who cares? Show me the top sights to see, things to do, where to get good food and their cost, interaction with locals, etc.
Seoul is amazing place. I appreciate the detailed breakdown of all the best places to visit and things to do, and very proud of your accomplishments to partake in different cultures around the world. I support this channel.
You have such a beautiful smile, and i loved the edit sndusic, and especially how you two match each others energy. Thank you. As a so "tall" woman as they designated you, if yoi wear a v neck, does not need to be low, it will open more of your neck and make it more balanced for the figure as you have a beautiful one, that small change will elevate you even more. Thank you again.

Hi Elleen My Seoul must be different from your Seoul because I left Seoul 30 years ago I had lived in Seochon (west village), west side of Kyungbokgung. Thus I am familiar with that area like Kyungbokgung and Bukchon village. There was a huge traditional Korean house in Bukchon. The house has 99rooms and was managed by the government. One thing that I want to mention about Kyungbokgung is that the beauty of it is not the architecture. I studied landscape architecture in college. Traditional Korean architecture focuses on harmony. So the palaces in Kyungbokgung are well designed with the background of Bukkak and Inwamg mountains. Korean buildings and walls weren’t built tall or huge so that mountains behind the buildings can be seen. When you visit Kyungbokgung next time, enjoy not only the palaces building but also the background mountains. Thank you again for your wonderful video.

Hey Bennie! That's so great to hear about Paris! Curious what did you do there that you'd seen in our videos? How wonderful you'll be visiting Korea! Yes, it will be full on winter mode in January. I'm sure a lot of the things in the video will still be open that you could visit, but maybe certain things like the guard changing ceremony may be different as it's outdoors. Best to check that one ahead to make sure! If you need to warm up, check out the inside of DDP as well. We didn't get to explore the interior as much but I know there's a ton of stuff inside as well. Would love to hear how your trip goes! Have fun ❤️

고맙습니다! 그 소식을 들으니 매우 기쁩니다. ❤️
Welcome to Korea, Eileen :) Hope you've found a great part of Korean's old cultures and spirits!
Thank you very much! This was my first time visiting and I'd love to return! If you have suggestions of what I should do on my next visit let me know :)
Thank you so much!
Hi! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
Thanks that video was SUPER helpful. I'm due to go to Seoul in Nov. How many days did you guys visit for and how many days would you say you need, minimum (I'm hoping to squeeze in Busan too if I can)?
Glad to hear that! You can squeeze this into 2 days minimum if you're efficient with the time and take taxis everywhere. How long will you be in Korea? We didn't get to Busan but I want to go back!
Oh my goodness! Well done 👍
Hey Frankie! Thanks so much! I'm happy you enjoyed this video of Seoul :)
You must come back to visit to Busan which is second city of Korea. Busan is beautiful , mordern and also old town . BTS JIMIN and sugar shoot a video to introduce to Busan. I hoped that you guys had a fun time in Korea. God bless you♡
Gotta go to Busan and enjoy some seafood 😁!
Thank you! We would LOVE to visit Busan! We actually saw an episode of House Hunters International years ago that took place in Busan and have wanted to visit there ever since. Clearly we need to come back to Korea and visit a lot more! ❤️
아~서울을 콕 찝어 주셨네요

Wow! I like this episode a lot. You have an insight of Seoul. Hanbok is so gorgeous. I love your pretty hair style, too. I am a guide & medical coordinator!
Thank you! I really appreciate your lovely comment. I loved wearing the hanbok and she did my hair so nicely...and so quickly! Wish I was better at doing that myself. Sounds like you have two very interesting jobs! :)
The DDP structure looks phenomenal. Beautiful organic sweeping curves throughout its entire structure, very unique, I love it!
I agree! It's such a cool looking building and the curves glisten in the sun too. :)
Really great video! It was fun to see even though I am Korean myself. I spent a long time overseas and came back to Korea for a short visit. It's been 4 years and now I have new places to visit :D
I majored Architectural Engineering when I was a student and I actually had the chance to visit the DDP during construction. The video brings me back many memories.
Hello and thank you! I'm delighted to read your lovely comment. That's so cool you visited DDP during its construction. That must have been really interesting, especially with your knowledge and insight. Hope you'll have a wonderful visit next time you're back and enjoy some new places! :)
Enjoyed your video! 4:31 Thank you for introducing 경복궁! As a Korean teacher, it makes me very happy to see foreigners taking interest in Korea!
Thanks so much! I had a good time trying to speak some Korean words. 💕
Hi Eileen and Marc 🇰🇷 How lovely was that! Very interesting, nice architecture and Art ofcourse! Creative thinking using shipping containers. Fun to dress the part to experience! Excellent coverage as always. Thanks you two! Looking forward to your next! 🥰
Hey Gina! Thanks so much! Stay tuned for lots more from our Asia trip :) Yeah, the mall made with shipping containers is such a cool concept and I'm sure we'll be seeing more things like that around the world.

Thanks for your support and glad you enjoyed our video!
Recommend scenery tour ... after right rainy day, a sunny day.
Thanks for the suggestion! Is there a particular one or more in general?
You are a light to South Korea, Eileen! I hope you enjoyed Taiwan as well. Safe travels! 🙏
Thanks so much! ❤️ We loved visiting Korea for the first time and would love to come back. If you have suggestions for next time I'd love to hear. And we had a great time in Taiwan, thanks! Thank you! We absolutely loved wearing it ❤️
Thanks for the video. Love it so much!!
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed it ❤️
Amazing video.
I had lived in Seoul for 27 years.
I didn’t know Seoul was so beautiful when I lived there.
Hey Joshua! I'm curious if you've visited all the places in this video during your time living there?
Hi Elleen
My Seoul must be different from your Seoul because I left Seoul 30 years ago
I had lived in Seochon (west village), west side of Kyungbokgung.
Very helpful info and you’re really nice!!! Thanks!!!
Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed this video! ❤️
한국에 대해 좋게 소개해주셔서 감사합니다. Thank you for introducing Korea as a good country
고맙습니다! We loved visiting Korea! This was my first time and I would love to come back. If you have suggestions of where else to go or things to do (or eat!) I'd love to hear :)
I will be spending about 3 days there in January. I heard it is very cold at that time. What would you recommend to see/do during this time frame? Thank you! Your videos are always so helpful; I definitely followed your advice in your Paris video!
Have fun ❤️
@@EileenAldis Thank you! Well for Paris, I did eat the Au Pied de Cochon which was wonderful! I would recommend that you also try Georges at the top of the Pompidou Centre, which has awesome views of the city!
@@bencruzsf Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't been inside the Pompidou for many years but I tend to love eating at the cafes/restaurants inside galleries and museums :)

Great video, made me really want to go. Sadly, seeing those narrow streets reminds me of the horrible tragedy that happened on Halloween 😭. Thoughts and prayers to all effected 🙏🏽

Just been there, you missed haneul park, ikseon-dong district, lotte tower, cheonggyeocheon stream, myeongdong, itaewon… and do go to Busan next time! More exciting things to do as well..
Hey Jason! Thanks for these suggestions! We saw the Lotte Tower from a distance and it looked amazing (only showed it over on my Instagram Stories this time). We'd love to visit Busan too...so much more we want to see. Curious if you had any other highlights that'd you recommend for another time - would love to hear.
@@EileenAldis definitely ikseon dong is a must if you like ala bukchon hanok village turned into cool cafes and resto. Its pretty close to insadong area.. haneul park is for me the best area to see the sunset overlooking the han river..
@@EileenAldis I actually prefer Busan more than Seoul.. nice harbor, very big outlet mall! (I think bigger than the one in Japan and here in the States), cable cars crossing the sea and on top of the mountain, temples seaside, biggest seafood market in Asia (jagalchi), haeundae beach, gwangalli, gamcheon villages, dont miss dadaepo beach if you love sunset.. im missing busan already 😂

It's also has lots of spots that korean love.
Hi! Thank you for the recommendations! We would love to come back and explore more of Korea...and make more videos, of course :)
Oh. My. Goodness. Hmm how much did I know about Seoul..well apart from being the host of a Summer Olympics ('88?), that's basically the extent of it. lol I cannot get over (among other things) the Meerkat Cafe! How adorable are they! The belly rubs! And all the other critters in that place! The library is otherworldly . Those sky high books appear to be unreachable! There must be a way to access them. And yes Eileen, you do look like a princess in the Hanbok. Absolutely fascinating. Nope as you may guess I've never been. Sure as heck would go on a bucket list.
Hey Scott! It totally needs to go on your bucket list! We need to go back and see more because we just scratched the surface! You're right that the library is AMAZING. You know by now how much I love books and bookstores and libraries and and and haha. And meerkats are one of Marc's favourite animals so we couldn't miss that! He was envious that they kept crawling all over me and less on him. He did get a good belly rub in though! 😂
What an awesome video:)

Awesome! Where are you planning to go in Korea and for how long?
Just wondered is there only 2 boat companys that travel along the Han river. I wanted to go on the one that's goes at night preferably and preferably the one the says has fireworks on Saturday night(eland cruise I think )but it comes up as not available, and as for the other boat cruise, when in I put in a date it mostly just says picnic only cruise not available I don't know why
We took the E-Land cruise and I'm not sure of others. Sorry I can't be of more help. Fireworks sounds amazing though!
