Thank you Tim and Richard. Richard is the leader/business owner who most touches my heart - moves me. I'm thinking about why that is.

Great interview Tim... Loved the insights on negotiation, differentiation and his heart on making a billion dollars and being sad ... would have loved more on the space story though.

In most interviews he is asked the exact same questions, if i were him, I'd be thinking, jeeez can nobody think up a new question.
The negotiation part stretched into something a bit more original, in fact everything in the second half, but I'd like to get inside his head, hear his thoughts on his day to day, and how he thinks about certain situations, rather than hearing what happened 40 years ago.
If he woke up in my body / life, how would he think, that makes him get a different outcome to me.

Getting other people do things - give them ambitious targets and limited time frames. Read his "Business stripped bare".

If you can't see this guy is doing some real work to benefit humanity I don't know what to say. Having self interest as well as service mentality is fine

Actually I wanna draw attention to something here. You see Tim coming from a place of self development and strategic lifestyles he has certain language which is highly focused on habits, methods and tricks. However Richard is using a plain language that puts his life lessons within the natural context of life and so he can impart wisdom just like that without separating it away from its context.

I understand he’s not popular with the British public. I would prefer if these were in video, but its better than nothing...Would be great if you could call him up again, i would like to hear what he’s up to now.

Plethora of valuable advice and thinking patterns to model. I do not agree on the meat issue tho- firmly believe in 50 years or less veganism will be as much as part of culture as not smoking. Love you both af tho ;)

own Island it was pretty devastating to say the least within 24 hours we'd we've started going
    12:19
around the the rest of the British Virgin Islands and I mean 90% of homes
    12:25
were destroyed or nearly destroyed incredible that more life wasn't lost
    12:32
and incredible the resilience of the Caribbean people having stories you know
    12:38
that be told you know like one person told me of the house disappearing about their head with their children their
    12:44
grandchildren in it running to the neighbor's house that then disappeared
    12:49
you know running into a wall the wall started collapsing and they ended up the
    12:55
whole family in a cess pit up to their knees in in and that they survived
    13:03
it and you know there's a it was a 13 year old girl who within three days was I had set up a a makeshift school
    13:41
dig into your I suppose we could golf familiarity with what some people would
    29:15
    together it's a dangerous context so I I
    29:20
think that many people have the impression of you as a fly by the seat
    29:28
of the pants entrepreneur who throws caution to the wind and bets the farm on many many
    29:20-

A man whose greed knows no limits. If that's who you want to look up and aspire to...

    • @Wingedmagician
      @Wingedmagician 7 років тому +2

what specifically do you think is greedy about him. And what exactly do you mean by greedy?

    • @yorkshireplumbing
      @yorkshireplumbing 7 років тому +7

If you don't live in England and don't have to pay his train fares which rise every year, then perhaps you think the sun shines out of his arse. You might also not be bothered by him suing the NHS - a public health service paid for by public taxes - because he didn't win a contract, despite him being poised to offer private care services as the Tories toil away hard to dismantle the NHS. A billionaire who owns an island and cowered in his private wine cellar as a hurricane passed over, then asks for AID FUNDING to ease his predicament. Sorry, did I forget to mention he is a c*nt as well as greedy... perhaps you could employ the use of a dictionary if you're still struggling to understand the usage of any of these words.

Men seeking their own self interest have helped to advance the human race and civilization more than any other group of people. Men claiming to have your "best intentions" in mind have left a trail of millions of dead bodies. I'll trust the "greedy capitalist" more than the "well meaning" collectivist.

I cannot look up to a man so greedy and without any integrity. He is not worthy of my time. If this man is someone we are meant to look up to then the world is more messed up than I thought and that's difficult to imagine.
