As a 21 yr old from a 1st tier Institute watching, it's really an eye opener podcast for me. Even having so much to do with my wisdom and consciousness, I get lost chasing opportunities. Promising myself to reflect my realisation through this podcast!
Well cited. I spent most of the time in start ups. Investors themselves look for college degree not the revenues, they will invest at an IITian start up without any market fit than a MSME that is making revenue. At one IIT, where I worked at incubation, I overheard the founder telling a non-IITian employee that "you are lucky, since you get a chance to sit with IITians". This is the celebrity mindset. At one self funded start up, where they were making very good revenue from their SaaS product, they were running around investors but no one was interested in funding them, since they were not from Top colleges or anything that can impress the typical indian understanding of world. Guess what, they got funded by Chinese investors.
Just discovered Rajiv Talreja. The startup ecosystem really needs someone who'll call out the BS without being squeamish. Hat's off to this guy. I'll subscribe and pay to watch if this guy is a regular

It is already hurting . See the employment vs layoff vs shutdown ratio of these startups . Employment is actually way lower than layoff and shutdown . Most startup’s in their closing years do not pay salaries .

You need guts to speak truth, to find people like Rajiv is so rare nowadays. I was Consulting one of the startups and the founder was from IIM. Whenever I consulted him he always focused on increasing product users ignoring service side. All this because he wanted capital and draw it for his own good and not for the company. One day i was tired of explaining them about value creation and eventually stopped providing consultation. That day was the best day of my life, felt relieved from toxicity.
This was an amazing info session. I think the ecosystem which we are in are departing from the actual value creation and chasing valuation and Unicorn status. One question still need to be answered why is our system allowing startups to go for IPO when they know that these are loss making companies.
This 1 hour was so insightful and interesting than my 2 years of my MBA.....Hats off to Rajiv Sir for pointing out that a successful business is the one which lets you sleep peacefully at night.....you should know where to draw the line
I'm so grateful to see this raw , unfiltered podcast. Most of these iitians are using their tag and get limelight, although many of iitians startups are great but I see most of these iitians quoting that bring more iitians in the team to easily get funding and that's the truth also. I also get depressed that the path becomes extremely difficult if someone is not from IIT. Iitians get advantage in the startup space and I think it's not gonna change anytime soon
This podcast is one of the best for someone who is looking forward to grow their business. I had been on Rajiv's webinar and he explained these structures very well. Although, I paid 99 Rs which is very very low when it comes to the value I received from the webinar. Well, this podcast is free, and the value it is adding up for the audience is equivalent to thousands of rupees. Great Work Raj and Rajiv.
Addition to the takeaway for this one- I would say, everybody has business plans if they have crores..very less would be there to convert 10 lakhs into 1 crore. Secondly ,we earn for 12 hours in a day and we pay interest for 24 hours, so keep this while raising interest money.
I'm 29 yrs old chasing my dream totally bankrupted and I verge of ending my life, today my friend recommend this talk show.... Spending an hour I feel like there's still some ray of hope. I think I can walk few more miles, but one thing that I can't convince myself and I constantly debating with me that one side of me is like when pocket is empty then no lecture helps and an other side today my pocket is empty but tomorrow it will be full keep walking. But I can't see anything ahed of me coz it's totally dark
So true... I look at some models who make no sense at all but money is flowing in like anything. I had done traditional business n failed but learning through my mistakes made me realize that traditional business is much better than any fancy startup...
This was indeed one of the most amazing and satisfactory conversation I've ever watched. Have become big fan of Mr. Rajiv ( The sindhi guy), thanks for the outstanding show Raj.. Loved it..

42:42 I am flattered, lol. 47:00 Dont quite agree. The universe maybe big but its homogenous, where as a human being is a pretty complex machine. 59:09 Rajiv was able to say what he did because he is focusing on what he said, the actual value creation.
Rajeev has a Great Business Acumen, experience and Intelligence. Loved the lines of Raj " The biggest mistake we as society make it is that we attach failure with a person not with a situation or circumstances.

Rajiv T, realistic diagnosis of the start ups in India, pure BS. Sindhi, myself, love this honesty
Rajiv just killed it. He is absolutely correct in all that he said and he knows the stuff and the is a true management guru. Best episode.
One of the Best Interviews I have seen on the internet so far.
Raj Thanks for bringing up the harsh reality of the start-up ecosystem.
Rajiv sir is Spot On as always.
Loved the way you were putting up your questions. Felt like you were asking the question which were dancing in my mind from so long.
Thanks Raj
Keep it Up.
thanx rajiv for bringing this financial system as a fraud. I always believed that was the case, you brought it to light.
This is gold on UA-cam. Love the way how bluntly honest he is. The real entrepreneur.
This is best fuckin podcast i have ever heard, 100% value delivering, i personally know people who have created a website have not yet figured business model and are running to get a funding , I guess i have found my mentor! Mr rajiv you are amazing ❤ thanks for being honest
Yeah, it's a fucking podcast
"People don't click pictures for memories, they click pictures for likes" - what an amazing line
This is what a true podcast is, best of 2022. This is the knowledge I can pay for.
Ending notes started half an hour before the end in a 1 hour podcast.
Thanks Raj for extending ending notes this much 😌 else we wouldn't have gotten the value bombs out of Rajeev 🤝
This man is something else.
Straightforward, realistic and talking about real wealth of life
Thank you Raj for inviting him 🙏
I am in love with your podcasts . People you bring on the table are real people Unfiltered , Mostly . Dont Go with Bubble or Gas , this is real shit . His best line was Duniya pagal hai , we all are vulnerable its just everyone showing thier unreal side .
This podcast was so insightful and Mr Rajeev was so honest that i never felt he was being diplomatic at any point of time. Thanks Raj for bringing this wonderful podcast.
RajShamani Thanks a Ton🙏 , Have an immense Level of Appreciation for Respected Rajiv Ji as in Hyd In my first yr of Entrepreneurship as MSME he was my First Business coach n will remain the first to built ethos of systems in me n hv also taught to say White as White✅n Black as Black ⚫👏💗 #Respect Thank u @Rajivtalreja for this time n compassionate Wisdom u shared in "Figuring out" as now the feeling is I count in the 1 percent of talent with opportunities 👏✅
Such a brutal truth... Can sense the passion in his each word.. Great value such informative podcast. Looking forward for more such. He has lived through business it can be seen how much he love what he is doing.. great
17:28 so true...
Such a good talk, hope it inspires the generations to come
Amazing conversation.
Best conversation till now
You need guts to speak truth, to find people like Rajiv is so rare nowadays.
Feels so true , giving answers i was searching from a long time. Mind blowing person . Practical approach
This was an amazing info session. I think the ecosystem which we are in are departing from the actual value creation and chasing valuation and Unicorn status. One question still need to be answered why is our system allowing startups to go for IPO when they know that these are loss making companies.
This part of conversation is an eye opener for many. 45:44
Truth outspoken today. It is one of the best podcast in my mind collection .
Great Work Raj and Rajiv.
p
Addition to the takeaway for this one-
I would say, everybody has business plans if they have crores..very less would be there to convert 10 lakhs into 1 crore.
I can say this is the best talk on startups in a long long time . And each word Rajiv saying something is a gem of words
Loved it..
Finally some truth - profitability has to be celebrated, not fundraising!
Substantial value content indeed that I had to hit pause to subscribe and hit like...Very well said Rajiv Talreja with utmost honesty , spoken my mind and thoughts. Please have such valuable content and Guest on your podcast....I had to watch it till the end as it past 430am now...Thank you Raj for hosting Such a brilliant Guest...Hats off to Mr Rajiv Talreja for speaking the bitter truth....Respect....
Raj thanks for inviting people like Rajiv who have ethics to your podcast. Always be ethical bro and take the long route and you will attract more long term thinking people as your customers, associates, audience, friends everything. This is the only reason I watch your show is that it feels original and authentic and not shady like many of the other podcasters.
Great one ! Hearing Rajiv for the first time but really love his perspective and boldness... Thanks for doing this one !
Powerful. Raw. Unfiltered. Just one hour of amazing conversation with lots of truth bombs and spitting facts!
Throughout the podcast I was just connecting it to the reality I faced....and I loved it ❤
The best podcast on the Internet 💯
Great podcast. I have seen other podcasts as well I won't name it but sometime the host rushes to much and don't allow the speaker to share his/her perception. Truly admire the pace, the time you give to build such conversations.
Finally someone talking about ground realities.Rather than just having a make in India theme the govt needs to make sure there are sufficient mechanism in place to make it successful
42:42 I am flattered, lol.
47:00 Dont quite agree. The universe maybe big but its homogenous, where as a human being is a pretty complex machine.
59:09 Rajiv was able to say what he did because he is focusing on what he said, the actual value creation.
He reminded me of Ashneer Grover both of them are honest we need more people like these in the startup ecosystem.
What 🤣
The best podcast ..shouting to this..Rajeev Talreja cleared it Nicely..well done..superb..This is what i think about business..👍
Man i never see such a practical guy in my life 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Rajeev has a Great Business Acumen, experience and Intelligence.
Loved the lines of Raj " The biggest mistake we as society make it is that we attach failure with a person not with a situation or circumstances.
Such a great podcast...
All my 59 minutes had been worth watching it.
Such an inspirational conversation. Like Mr. Rajiv talreja I want to be in Tamil Nadu if God wills. Hard work and passion never fails.
Brilliant Stuff.....Rajiv Echoed my belief on value and valuation....So true...
Thankyou soo much for this as a growing entrepreneur I couldn’t have asked for better advices. Respect 🇵🇰
Pakistan is very good at growing the terrorism business. You can learn from them
@Rajiv every time I listen to you, you shake up something in my core and opens up a new possibility. @rajshamani thanks for bringing this to us!
For last 3-4 years I watch many podcasts and videos related to startups and for me startup feel so sexy. My perception was also to create valuation business and after watching this podcast my entire perception towards indian startup ecosystem changes. Rajiv sir speaks the dirty truth of indian startup ecosystem. Now I decided to start a value making business instead of dirty valuation game . Valuation is a scam. I thank God that I watch this video ❤. An eye opener to entrepreneurs
17:32 he is right in my city also businessman riding activa and earning 50 lakhs/week
Raj I would say this was the boldest podcast you have done till now on your channel ....lot of things to learn from this as listener .....big thanks to you for this podcast ..keep podcasting bro.
