TRUTH
Paula was/is everything. She needs to be talked about more.
Yes, soooooooooooo underrated.
She retired?
Wow Paula Kelly with long hair...wow showing off Paula kelly
Was, wow she's dead now
She passed today!😪
I loved her in The Spook Under The Stairs
Paula Kelly was very muli-talented. It was great to see her shared her talent of dance, and her wisdom to these little girls from The Mfundi Institute in LA. Rest In Power, Sister Kelly
This is a time when we really cared about each other and were really into our culture and strived for the best
BOSS LADY,so very TRUE🙋🏾♀️ From 1970 - 1979 I was there from the aged of 2 till 11 years of aged to witness that Beautiful Decade. If,only I had Time Machine to revisit my childhood, during the 1970s. And I wished that I could have met the Elegant Paula Kelley🙏🏾💗🌹
@Jim Stark My dad has spoken on this. My grandfather was a shop owner who raised his whole family on the money he made in his grocery store. That would be highly unlikely in a black area now. We had our own then. It wasn't all bad, as you point out.
When we actually cared about our children and their upbringing.. I wish we could get back to that 🙏🏾
@@webbgems67 That would require putting the cell phone/device down and paying attention and maybe not getting the nails/hair done or buying $100 gym shoes and investing it in our children. Is it likely that we can do that en mass?
This made me cry. She was so poised, so polished, so pristine, so everything wonderful as a dancer. Wish that were me as a little girl with Paula at her dance academy. I love her so much! Rest in heavenly peace, Ms. Kelly. Thanks for all the precious memories and for inspiring me to dance.
This lady was too multi-talented! Dancer, teacher, actress: television, big screen, Broadway. She did it all!
RIP Paula Kelly.. Happy Black History Month
R.I.P Ms. Kelly. You were absolutely everything!
So beautiful to see the black sister in her purest form.. No weave, no makeup, simply astounding. Ain't nothing like the reel thing baby 😘
Absolutely beautiful....
Paula Kelly legendary, classy, and regal!
You will be missed!
shirajai 👏🏿👏🏿🙋🏾♀️ Eloquent. I also agree the Beautiful Paula Kelley would be truly missed🌹
R.I.P our beautiful African Queen. We will miss you.
I’m such a Paula kelly fan! She is so underrated and her talent was so infectious! A true artist.
Rip Ms. Kelly
I ALWAYS LOVED PAULA; AND SHE HAD THE EXACT SAME BIRTHDAY AS i DO. SHE WAS BEAUTIFUL.
RIP Sister. I believe I've seen everything she was in. She was such a diverse actress and superb dancer. One of my favorite roles was when she appeared in Sanford and Son, Lamont wanted to join the African movement. She was excellent in the Women of Brewster Place, Sophisticated Ladies, and was funny in Uptown Saturday Night. She could play any role in any genre, including Broadway.
That's right Sanford & Son I remember watching that episode years ago. I remember watching movies that she was in,during the 1970s. The Andromeda Strain and Soylent Green, wow now that Soylent Green, with Co - star Charleston Heston Movie was eerie. I was recently watching the show Police Woman from the 1970s on DVD and she was on several episodes. Paula Kelley was Eloquent,Elegant and Beautiful🌹💗🙏🏾
@@lastdays3148 Yes she was, Last Days. She was also underrated. But those who are true to their art usually are. This lady was brilliant and multi talented, but she didn't seem to play the usual Hollywood game.
@@alexandradillard2077:
She was quoted as saying in an interview from the mid '70s that she really wasn't interested in becoming a big star, and was more interesting in being in control of her work, or something like that.
Paula was a BRILLIANT artist!!! Her gifts were vast and MANY.
She was BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I miss you my dear friend💃❤💔
She was awesome, super talented and beautiful.
I was heartbroken to find out she passed on Feb 8th. She was such a marvelous dancer and actress
Great talent and commitment! She was fantastic in The Golden Girls, her small part there brought me here.
Both of My Aunties Jeannie & Angie Are In This . I’m so Happy To See This . 👍🏾👍🏾
RIP Queen. Thanks for your contributions
RIP I just found out she passed. OMG she was the best a legend. Thank you for your craft.
I remember when DANCE was EVERYTHING. Debbie Allen ChANGED my LIFE. Me and my boy cousin would execute dance moves from FAME. This was so lovely thanks for sharing.
Rest in Heaven Queen.
Endless thanks for uploading this. Paula Kelly's name/picture should be beside the word unsung. Her name is never mentioned among the great African-Americans pioneers of the arts! She has conquered so many genres of entertainment. I admit I had never heard of her until she appeared on Sanford & Son lol but even in that hilarious Afrocentric episode, she was captivating!
the funniest part about that episode is how fast Lamont gave the African stuff when he found out he had to nice to Fred forever.
@@1talldaddy 😂 IKR
Paula: Hello Mr. Sandford I am Ola-iya
Redd Foxx: Oh well, it's probably the water😂
I thought she looked familiar. I must have seen that episode dozens of times over the years. I also remember her from season 1 on Night Court.
@Mike S Yes! And her EMMY nominated role in the Women of Brewster Place.
Great comment. Ms. Kelly was beautiful and super talented.
Paula Kelly has always been a favorite of mine. Since she played in. The spook who sat by the door. She a a great artist.
Oh snap ! Darth Vadar ! But I digress; Paula was such a hottie and talented and intelligent. I love her eyes - so beautiful. And I love that little dance she does across the floor. And the kids are getting such a kick out of that too with their giggles. They're so cute.
I love this woman so much. She is so unheralded while representing the best of that era, beautiful in so many ways...
RIP Paula Kelly. Extremely multitalented person. I always admired her.

Nice.
When black women weren't afraid to show there natural beautiful hair. In 2019 these kids would have blonde, blue and pink weaves
OMG please stop with the bashing of black women.times change, back then white women wore their natural bodies!!
I see more black women and girls with their natural hair. At least where I live anyway. I went natural 10 years ago and I’m so happy I did.
No, these children would be the multi-racials that black americans portray black american girls as.
I miss these types of centers. Mine was the Perry Harvey Youth Art Center (now Perry Harvey Sr. Park) What was the center you attended in your youth?
I didn't have one, sis. Luckily, I lived in NYC so we just made use of the streets and public spaces
