I don't normally comment because most people say what I'm already thinking but DAMN!!!!!!! This is about as high end as it gets. That box is unreal! Also the kick placement was awesome. Such nice work guys!
You probably already know but some strategic use of cardboard under/as a part of your tape job prior to fiberglass, can give “ramps” or whatever necessary around edges to reduce that tight fit
I wish I had found your channel 2 years ago! I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey and I think it would make more sense for me to do enclosures the way you're doing in this car!
Excited for this build as it's not too far off from the equipment I have. Still trying to decide between using my Topping D10 or iBasso hi res player into the V Eight.
@@rap-soldier2185 I have the iBasso DX240 with the same DAC chip as the topping D10. The problem is that the helix v eight doesn't take 192k sample rate through optical

I did a system (4th box build in my life) in a CLK cabriolet. It came out nice but my sub was a JL 13.5 shallow on top of spare tire. It had a really good sound...but u are letting us know it could have a better sound in front?

I believe just to get better sound out of this 2006 Honda Odyssey will be better to do the things that you were doing versus adding a subwoofer all the way in the back!
Axis of midbass in 3way where they only play between 60-400Hz doesn’t matter at all! Wavelength is too long to be directional. Door locations suffer from cancellations in intended frequency range, whereas kicks don’t. Doors are flimsy and have many rattling parts, kick are rigid. You can not list a single reason why doors would be better acoustically than kicks.
@@kostas133kostas never. 150Hz is over 2m long wavelength. You can turn that driver in any direction, it won’t effect that. You can try it though and see it for yourself! 😉
@@pssound9749 That’s really eye opening. (Or ear opening ha) I always thought a well prepared door would be best. But yes that makes sense. Thank you for sharing.
The sub box surprised me, also i like how it fits so deep into the wheel well, plenty of room for the mid bass :)

very cool project. please make a video when its done where you play some music with the microphones in your ears. i really love those.
back in the late 80s i did an ib kick install. I used the holding power of the magnets to hold the speaker to the car body, install done.
Peter congratulations to you and your team. Another great job.
Cutting the midbass with jig saw ....lol....that's old school ...nice!

Some people can’t listen to less than 384k these days…yet they wouldn’t hear difference above 44.1k blindfolded.. 🤦🏻♂️
Nice install 👌
what kind of material to bond wood and fiberglass. i am talking about the green one

Get yourself an air hacksaw,so much easier than the jigsaw

Peter what is the price of a birch plywood in the u.k. In the u.s is 120 dollars in California.
£80-90 for the 3/4”, so similar.
Where did you get that vacuum hose? What is it called?
It comes with Festool vacuums.

Sony xav-9500es is good option

I don't understand how installing midbasses off axis in kicks is better than installing them in doors.🤔

I thought that a more on axis approach in kicks would deal with the huge dip around 150hz on driver's side.
