That's what I'm doing with my E46 saloon eventually, welding in a frame into the spare wheel area and cutting a hole in the bottom of it to allow it to breathe outside. I'm using a single Fi15 and it'll be my first IB system.
@Dan Kleinhans the prices ramp up quickly, but I'm pretty keen on the 5.6K3U which means a bit less money spent on custom pillars hopefully. The UMA kit as an addition looks really good.
@@phizzle24 nice. I’m not familiar with the range but if you follow Peter here you’ll be very familiar with his concept of install matters waaaaay more then the drivers themselves!
Awesome! I wonder if the owner of the car knows about the Joycon controls. It takes resistive or Canbus steering wheel controls and converts them into usb keyboard commands. So essentially you can control volume/ playback/ etc of the indash Tablet from the steering wheel controls. A slick piece of equipment to make an indash Tablet even more convenient!
The JoyCon EXR? Yes! I used it for a Nexus 7 installation back in 2014. Very useful and easy to integrate. This time round I am reading all the CAN-BUS messages for ALL module interactions. So when the door opens, my music fades out as an example. No hard cuts!
I'm glad I'm not the only one using a Topping that way. I got fed up with head-units. And saw the topping on sale. Been using this setup for over a year. Absolute dream. Can't beat it for price/Performance. Works with just about any Android device that supports OTG. Powering it and charging the phone or tablet at the same time can be rough. I used the OEM Samsung OTG adaptor and it works. Better if you go with an iPad or apple device IMO. Android? You got to do some work to get the best out of it.
@@TheTechKnowG USB-C made life easy. With USB-2 from the Samsung S3 Era, its been like pulling teeth. Even the OEM adapters were flaky at times. Glad things have got so much better.
Really exited to see this particular model in your hands! I owned such before years and made some upgrades as well. Not at that high level, but still pretty decent upgrade. Looking forward your next steps!
I'm about to take out my AE IB12AU4's out of my car after 4+ years. Want to try something else. AE subs are great. I've heard them in several friend's cars, and that was why I chose them.
I couldn’t care less about FIR filters to be honest when a DSP doesn’t have enough bands of EQ. You need min 20 bands on each channels to get a proper tune. Most DSPs have 30bands/ch, can’t live without that in a car.
@pssound974, Peter one short question if given a choice between AE TD12S and Brax Matrix 10 SUB (sealed), which one would you choose and why? PS. absolute SQ setup. Thanks a lot!
I had an iPad in my Volkswagen British company did it for me it was very affordable all I had to do is buy the trim pieces they did all the rest actually they bought the trim pieces I just paid for them
Good afternoon. Do the ESB have good high frequencies? Is there something better at this price or a little more expensive? I lack air and detail. Currently installed CDT 1200 CRM. I want to try something interesting and detailed. Thank you.
This ESB8000 tweeter is definitely one of the better ones out of many expensive soft dome tweeters. If you have great source, amps, great aiming and proper tune, then they sing very well for sure.
@@pssound9749 Thank you so much for your reply. I order these tweeters ESB Audio 8.028R thanks to your recommendation🤝✊👍You are the best master in car audio!!!

That spare tire well was meant for that IB15.. OMG… so awesome. The well is so deep.
Can’t wait for the chop chop👍🏻
Now this will be interesting personally to watch! Super exited!

Really excited to hear more about ESB speakers in Australia. They look fantastic, if a little over flashy

Thanks Peter you reveal in this video, in your experience, most important are the transducers
Yes, indeed, they are, so the right installation is crucial.

It depends! Newer USB-C models just need any USB-C dock, plug in power, plug in the ordinary USB Type A connect to the DAC and it is sorted!

I think it’s rather important to know what car you have, what location the sub is going to be in and what the front-end is.
