They are in a lego model of Elbaf, the "Yggrasil" is just a normal giant tree, the rabbit is just a normal giant rabbit (the goes for the bugs) and the "giants" are normal humans
I think the “sun god” referred to is actually the lion they ended up defeating by the end of the chapter. When Franky wanted to make a ship that looked like a lion, what did everyone think it looked like? A sun. Also the “ears” god being a giant rabbit shows they name gods based off identifying features.
So at least in the scan i read, there's a moment where one of the giants states. We need to inform the Sun God of something. Isn't that something that's kinda important? Isn't that Luffy? It makes me think there's a fake Sun God here on Elbaf maybe, maybe it's some kind of trickster, that can create illusions or something.
Unless nika just has to be the one and only sun god ud be right but im not thinking that tbh, good call tho The trickster shenanigans and their current hallucinations can very easily elude to loki, the god of mischief afterall, but its coming in way too short, elbaf is at least 3 chapters long so far anyway
i also saw people complaining that the chapter was mid. We just got through with one of the craziest arcs in the entire series, and this is just the start of the new arc. Its not gonna be full send every moment.
The funniest thing about all this shenaniganry is that Luffy doesn't drink, but sober Luffy is about as useful as everyone else is drunk on absinthe... that said, I'm sure Luffy knows how things got this way but he was likely more focused on eating meat at the time.
I think the lego house purpose is that of a doll house for loki for pure entertainment and he sees humans as just pure playthings and not individuals like pure bloods in harry potter type thing
i saw a great theory that showed that all of the straw hats would be sent out to the nine different realm of norse mythology. Luffy to Asgard because of his god connections, Zoro to helheim, Sanji to muspellheim for his fire powers. Usopp to jotunheim the land of the giants, Robin to vanaheim which is associated with wisdom, Nami to alfheim because of the location being close to the clouds, Jinbei and chopper to midgard the home of the humans because they aren't human, Brook to Niflheim because of his ice powers and Franky to Nidavellir the land of the dwarfs
The trees in Elbaf are either shaped as circles or squares. The circle trees look like Lego (Denmark) but the square trees look like Minecraft. Which is from SWEDEN another Viking country! Love how Oda uses several inspirations/nods to the Scandinavian countries!
One thing about Luffy’s outfit: where is the strawhat? He has the viking hat on but no strawhat under it, so one would think it’s on the back of his cape but its not there either unless it is under the cape
I would like to point out that the anime made it much more obvious that Imu’s devil fruit is almost positively the Frog Frog fruit model: Ōgama. This is because for one Imu’s transformation looks a lot like a frog, but also Imu’s spear attack is very similar to what Ōgamas do in Japanese folk lore, ōgamas are also said to “devour everything in their path”
I feel like a lot of what we've seen so far is an illusion/something to do with with absinthe or Loki. A cat that changes into a lion, Luffy not wearing the straw hat and using Gear 3 when he shouted Gear 4, Sanji using his left leg to kick the cat even though he powered up his right leg and wanting to eat the bees even though he is afraid of bugs, people's belongings changing or disappearing constantly (such as Luffy having a sword and then an axe, Usopp's bag disappearing), and more. This all seems too weird and off for it to be just Oda mistakes.
I can actually sort of see the childlike logic to Elbaf (or at least the section we see) made entirely out of Legos: The Giants are rough and tough and probably break buildings and homes on the regular. Buildings made of lego-like bricks would make rebuilding from the daily scuffle a lot easier.
Did anybody else think that the straw hats were not fighting a cat that transforms into a lion but actually Chopper transforming between his different points? And the reason is because they are hallucinating and seeing each other differently?
Inuarashi becoming the Daimyo of Kuri retroactively makes the way he and Nekomamushi made Carrot the leader of the minks even more of a dick move. They weren't entrusting her to lead their people, they were just foisting their job off on somebody else to they could take a different gig instead.
Blackbeard in Chapter 1469: What the? Why isn't my darkness powers working on Luffy? Hey Straw Hat! Luffy: What? Blackbeard: You didn't by any chance eat a rabbit god recently? Luffy: As a matter of fact...
I think Nami might be in a dream conjured by Loki. First she calls out for zoro, sanji, luffy and even usopp and they all appear right away, the weapon on Luffys back constantly changes throughout the chapter, the cat randomly transforms into a lion. Luffy even calls gear third gear fourth. It would make sense for Loki to have a dream related devil fruit, he is the god of trickery and illusion in myths after all.
My theory is that the Sun God they mentioned, might be an impostor Namely the prototype Prometheus that Mother Carmel made in BM's flashback (named Pandora). Itd make sense why the giants would call him over to stop a fire, since we know the other Prometheus was literally able to eat fire Not to mention the fact that the giants literally called it a sun god when Carmel made it
If you look closely at the last page you can see that luffy has a sword hilt on his back when he's standing on top of the cat and when we get a close up it changes to an axe. Classic case of the editer error
How does Thor protect the realms? As Guard. ….. How do Viking send messages? Norse code Who was the Norse god of spring? Thaw Alright I’ll just see myself out..
Wait, are we not gonna talk about gear fourth being used without a full body transformation. It really struck me like how gear 2 and 3s downsides were voided after time skip.
Eating the holy gods of Elbaf? Yeah, didn't expect it at all. I'm surprised we didn't see this coming. Because this is exactly how we should expect Oda to do things by now.
ALSO also, I think this is the most boisterous entrance we’ve had to a new island. Usually, *some* attempt is made to fit in, or at least not stir the pot too much too fast, but the monster trio are straight up causing disasters, leading the population into panic. This is finally true pirate emperor hours.
There’s a lot of weird, minor inconsistencies in the chapter. The weapon on Luffy’s back keeps shifting from sword to axe between panels, he shouts Gear Fourth when attacking with a Gear Third Elephant whip, the straw hat itself is missing, Sanji’s attack is missing flames, and Zoro is talking about directions and finding the ship. Definitely quite odd. Not sure if it’s hinting at something or just genuine mistakes
One thing I noticed in of the last few pages of the chapter is that the legos the city is made of is not made of plastic like actual legos but are made of stones that buildings are made of which is interesting to me
I could be wrong here, but wasn't the last time we saw goggles on Zoro, when he was wandering on skypiea? It gave me that kind of nostalgia feels. Also forgot to add... Was sweet to see the original 5 as a group.
You know, the cat reminds me of some of the Norse myths, especially those involving Utgard-Loki. As the story goes, Thor and Loki and two other companions make it into Utgard-Loki and keep running into challenges that are hidden behind illusions. First, they think they found a cave but it turns out to be a giant glove. When they meet the giant Utgard-Loki, he gives them all sort of challenges: To drink from a horn, try to out eat one of the giants, out race another, wrestle one of their oldest giants, and to lift a cat. And then it turns out that the challenges were all rigged by Utgard-Loki: the horn was connected to the ocean and Thor drank enough to actually change the level of the sea, the giant that ate was fire incarnate, the racing giant turned out to be thought (if I remember the myth right), the old woman giant was actually death (which not even a god could defeat) and the giant cat turned out to be Midgard Serpent (which Utgard-Loki was scared was going to come up when Thor raised one of its paws off the ground). I am seeing this Lego Palace in a very similar situation if this is what's going on.
i feel like people get but hurt talking about one pice's length, they talk trash about one piece plot when they havent watched or read it, even just absorbed a mere fraction of the plot. They get jelous of the aesthetically dynamic themes Oda Puts on the table each time, every arc.
I genuinely cannot imagine how they just "teleported" into a Lego castle and managed to change clothes without realizing it. I am shocked Oda likes to give us such a wacky and unexpected start to an arc. I hope he can explain this in a goofy and fun way or else there might be a risk of him being viewed as having lazy writing. Only explanation to this will be new devil fruit entries, which is always fun.
There's a story in Norse Mythos about Thor, Loki and some other guy(let's call him Paul). Utgard-Loki (Trickster of Utgard) gave the three different challenges, all lost. Loki lost in a eating contest with Logi. Paul was defeated 3times in a race by Hugi. Thor could only drink 3 gulps from a horn, could only lift a single paw of a cat, and was lost in wrestling with an old nurse. Im reality, Logi was fire/wildfire, Hugi was "thought", the horn had world oceans(the three gulps caused tides ober the world), the cat was the world serpent(and he held it to the sky) and the nurse was "old age". Utgard-Loki said he hoped to never see them again, and before Thor could attack him or his castle, they disappeared, never to be mentioned again(afaik)
Internet stranger, the cat or lion might be a giant who can shapeshift, read further for explanation. cat may reference a puss in boots rendition where puss tries to allow the middle/oldest child to meet up with this princess. He takes a giants castle and one of the giants can shapeshift, but puss tricked him to turn into a mouse, so he can be eaten, blah blah. Therefore the giant could be a shapeshift and therefore could have eaten a devil fruit, and I predict the shpaeshifter will help the straw hats.
My guess is if the Legos are because of Loki I think he has a lego devil fruit with similar effects to king Midas's golden touch and this is some abandoned area he accidentally or purposely destroyed.
Did anyone else notice that the giant bees were roughly the same size in the panel with the locals and the panel with Nami? I don't think we are in a village with giants or at least not giant giants.

@@jarosbodytko6462 I'm not gonna go find the quote, I'm fine assuming you're right. Ah well. I still think it's a little hint at the timeline.
They are in a lego model of Elbaf, the "Yggrasil" is just a normal giant tree, the rabbit is just a normal giant rabbit (the goes for the bugs) and the "giants" are normal humans
I posted the same thing, why is this not higher up in the comments.
Yes, absolutely
I think oda didnt want to end the series without Zorro wearing a mask… The mask of Zoro is a timeless classic
Not often we get just the original 5 strawhats together. Looking forward to this spilt up.

"My god... it is the awakened Lego Lego fruit"
I think the “sun god” referred to is actually the lion they ended up defeating by the end of the chapter. When Franky wanted to make a ship that looked like a lion, what did everyone think it looked like? A sun. Also the “ears” god being a giant rabbit shows they name gods based off identifying features.
Looks like Oda subtly gave Nami a step on a Lego joke.
The Inurashi and Brian Griffin art at 0:25 😂
So at least in the scan i read, there's a moment where one of the giants states. We need to inform the Sun God of something.
Isn't that something that's kinda important?
Isn't that Luffy?
It makes me think there's a fake Sun God here on Elbaf maybe, maybe it's some kind of trickster, that can create illusions or something.
Unless nika just has to be the one and only sun god ud be right but im not thinking that tbh, good call tho
The trickster shenanigans and their current hallucinations can very easily elude to loki, the god of mischief afterall, but its coming in way too short, elbaf is at least 3 chapters long so far anyway
@@ckk2087 It's all apart of the fun after all, our adventure is trying to work out what all these crazy things could lead to or mean. I love it.
Oda’s keeping the best outfits for last with Brook, Franky, and Robin.
Im hyped for brook
i also saw people complaining that the chapter was mid. We just got through with one of the craziest arcs in the entire series, and this is just the start of the new arc. Its not gonna be full send every moment.
Getting action in a completely new place in One Piece is peak.
Let them be I thinkthey are just the JJK fans who are still salty from the trash ending they got this past few chapter.
Personally I loved it. I felt it had pre timeskip humour with post timeskip action which I like a lot.
So good seeing the original five together again!
Nami and ussop were scared on little garden too
The funniest thing about all this shenaniganry is that Luffy doesn't drink, but sober Luffy is about as useful as everyone else is drunk on absinthe... that said, I'm sure Luffy knows how things got this way but he was likely more focused on eating meat at the time.
Luffy isn't against drinking, he just doesn't like the taste all too much. Pretty Sure he drank on Skypiea.
Wait didn't luffy drank himself on whiskey peak?
@@densegunial3674Nope!
he drank with his brothers
@@ZigTheHunterYou're talking about the party/feast, right? In the manga, I can't see Luffy drinking there.

Please give my compliments to your artist. That Viking Robin image scratches exactly the right places in my... brain.
I believe that we are in a human sector of elbaf and that’s why the “giants” are small and why the houses are Lego
We see that the humans in this chapter are bigger then the Stingmores and Nami confirms they are giant bees so idk
@@joeyskywalker1322 yeah the bees are giant, but the people are small I think
I think the lego house purpose is that of a doll house for loki for pure entertainment and he sees humans as just pure playthings and not individuals like pure bloods in harry potter type thing
Best arc so far, S tier!
Seeing just the East Blue crew together put a massive smile on my face
i saw a great theory that showed that all of the straw hats would be sent out to the nine different realm of norse mythology.
I hated the fact the chapter was so short, but I'm not surprised seeing how it's become a trend in tge last few years.
Zoro dressed like Hajrudin with the goggles
I can actually sort of see the childlike logic to Elbaf (or at least the section we see) made entirely out of Legos: The Giants are rough and tough and probably break buildings and homes on the regular. Buildings made of lego-like bricks would make rebuilding from the daily scuffle a lot easier.
Did anybody else think that the straw hats were not fighting a cat that transforms into a lion but actually Chopper transforming between his different points? And the reason is because they are hallucinating and seeing each other differently?
but then whos the hedgehog, and why was he eating usopp
Inuarashi becoming the Daimyo of Kuri retroactively makes the way he and Nekomamushi made Carrot the leader of the minks even more of a dick move. They weren't entrusting her to lead their people, they were just foisting their job off on somebody else to they could take a different gig instead.
Blackbeard in Chapter 1469: What the? Why isn't my darkness powers working on Luffy? Hey Straw Hat!
Luffy: What?
Blackbeard: You didn't by any chance eat a rabbit god recently?
Luffy: As a matter of fact...
everyone's missing Zoro's name inspiration through his new Elbaf outfit :c
I think Nami might be in a dream conjured by Loki. First she calls out for zoro, sanji, luffy and even usopp and they all appear right away, the weapon on Luffys back constantly changes throughout the chapter, the cat randomly transforms into a lion. Luffy even calls gear third gear fourth. It would make sense for Loki to have a dream related devil fruit, he is the god of trickery and illusion in myths after all.
So everyone who drank "The Green Fairy" drink in the last chapter got transported it looks like.
My theory is that the Sun God they mentioned, might be an impostor
Namely the prototype Prometheus that Mother Carmel made in BM's flashback (named Pandora).
Itd make sense why the giants would call him over to stop a fire, since we know the other Prometheus was literally able to eat fire
Not to mention the fact that the giants literally called it a sun god when Carmel made it
If you look closely at the last page you can see that luffy has a sword hilt on his back when he's standing on top of the cat and when we get a close up it changes to an axe. Classic case of the editer error
I don't think that it's errors. I believe that the six are either trapped in a sort of dream world and/or being toyed with by Loki.
we better see franky interact with lego building in some way. this powerful technology could be the next big breakthrough for the straw hats

Eating the holy gods of Elbaf?
Yeah, didn't expect it at all.
I'm surprised we didn't see this coming. Because this is exactly how we should expect Oda to do things by now.
@@radicalindividual7774at this point. No arc should start in way we expect it to
ALSO also, I think this is the most boisterous entrance we’ve had to a new island. Usually, *some* attempt is made to fit in, or at least not stir the pot too much too fast, but the monster trio are straight up causing disasters, leading the population into panic. This is finally true pirate emperor hours.
What great sun god did they want to report to? Could it be an imposter?!
Maybe sun god is a title you can get similar to Buddha in their culture
There’s a lot of weird, minor inconsistencies in the chapter. The weapon on Luffy’s back keeps shifting from sword to axe between panels, he shouts Gear Fourth when attacking with a Gear Third Elephant whip, the straw hat itself is missing, Sanji’s attack is missing flames, and Zoro is talking about directions and finding the ship.
Definitely quite odd. Not sure if it’s hinting at something or just genuine mistakes
anyone else notice that luffys attack was actually gear 3rd not gear 4th? was it a translation or manga error?
I love sanji's classic 11th century Saxon knight/noble outfit

Now that you mention it, Loki (or someone else) having a Laugh Laugh no mi would be cool, a Laugh Man that can turn anything that he finds funny real.
i feel like people get but hurt talking about one pice's length, they talk trash about one piece plot when they havent watched or read it, even just absorbed a mere fraction of the plot. They get jelous of the aesthetically dynamic themes Oda Puts on the table each time, every arc.
My boy sanji got best drip in this arc out of monster trio
Maybe considering the animals we've only seen so far maybe the "Lego" Buildings are for their pets.
Inurashi having a peg leg is unironically huge, you rarely see characters with that trade mark pirate thing in OP
Utgard-Loki said he hoped to never see them again, and before Thor could attack him or his castle, they disappeared, never to be mentioned again(afaik)
it's nice to see the OG monster trio being the typical monster trio
I still can't believe we finally did it. We're on Elbaf. The characters might be hallucinating but we're not.
Rolls up to a new island, not knowing how they got there.
Starts killing and eating all the local fauna.
Did anyone else notice that the giant bees were roughly the same size in the panel with the locals and the panel with Nami? I don't think we are in a village with giants or at least not giant giants.
I laughed so hard when its revealed namis zapping the bugs and luffy zoro and sanji ate the god rabbit. Absolute madlad is oda for his sense of humor
good observation to make is that "sun god" is written in a different kanji this chapter rather than the ones used for nika
Reading the "Adventure in the land of . . . " chapters is always so much fun and I LOVED the Lego architecture. It made me smile so much lol
I picked up on the food in the cover story this week, too. "Why is yamato constantly eating" I asked myself.
