Sir, suppose I pursue PhD from one university which is ranked 74th in the world. Then, is it possible for me to secure a postdoc admit from an university which is ranked lower than that, i.e, less than 74?
Yes of course this possible to go up or low in rank for postdoc. Going lower in rank would typically be easier than going higher in rank

You can certainly add a few references to your proposal which are publications in journals or conferences etc. But don’t add too many as most of the proposal should be about the proposed research work

hi sir. i am a 4th year EEE student from tamilnadu. i have huge interest in fighter aircrafts. my dream is to work in future fighter jet programs of india like AMCA ,TEDBF. for this i need a Ms/Mtech in aerospaca in a reputed institute.so started preparing from the GATE aerospace for the part 2 months sir .i need to get atleast AIR 80 i order to get in IITs out of total 5000 participants. my parents send they will only allow one year to prepare of GATE .its a huge learning curve to be done within a year sir .if my GATE mark is not enough to get into IIT/NIT.what should i do sir. will this GATE score help me to get into private universities in india or in any foreign countries like Germany, Singapore.will those universities accept cross major student like me?.Please give me your guidance sir.
If you have studied the bachelors degree well then gate should not be a problem. You can get into m tech at the institutes where aerospace is offered. You can look at m tech research programs also. Some German universities accept good gate scores also. I think tu Munich and tu Aachen but you can check. You can also try DAAD and Erasmus Mundus for scholarships. These videos will help

@@Drganguli i don't have a bachelors in aerospace sir .i i am currently persuing BE in Electrical and electronics Engineering . and i willing to do m tech in aerodynamics sir
@@59vijaiyaaravindthsr39 In most cases b tech in electrical have to go for control and guidance subset of aerospace. But one can give gate in various areas and enter the aerospace m tech programs. You can check the iit and IISc web pages for more information. You should generally give gate in areas which are closest to your b tech degree.
If you go for MTech research or direct PhD then you will have to go through interview. In that case you have to select control and guidance in most aerospace departments if you have electrical background.

@59vijaiyaaravindthsr39 if you have taken the m tech program then you have to take classes in all areas like aerodynamics, structures, propulsion and control. See my aerospace course for a preview. If you have time you can go through the lectures for a head start.

Unfortunately, I had a career for 9 years after I got PhD degree from IIT KGP ( Environmental Engg). I published 6 international publication and 3 book chapters (citation =354, H index=7). My Mtech (aquacultural Engg) was also from IIT KGP. I was trying to contact the prof in UAE and nobody responds. Can you please make a video for career break woman. Thank you in advance.

@@juja60 You could approach your former advisor and write a paper with them as a former student. There are also some bodies which allow you to be an independent scholar. I will make a video on that.

This is unfortunately a corrupt country and one will never get an Assistant Professor Job without political recommendations.....and in case you work in a Private Institution you will be ill-treated and meagerly paid......I off late realized that in India, its never good to go for higher education because if one does so, then he will land up in no man's land
Most institutions with good rank follow merit based appointments as far as possible to the best of my knowledge. But some issues you mention are unfortunately there in academia. You could consider going for industry. These videos may help
