I made a mistake in updating the setting for the watering schedule for my english ivy. I noticed it last night and realized I hadn't watered it in 47 days! The amazing thing is that it was still looking healthy and even has new leaf growth. Pretty resilient plant!
thank you for all your info on ivy plants I would like to replant my ivy from an 8 inch pot to a 9 inch basket filled with soil will this but a problem, my basket is about 5 inches high?
I live in the caribbean... in order to accomodate my busy lifestyle, i wonder... may i add moss or coconut husk to potting soil? Could this satisfy the need to have moist soil and also prevent overwatering?
Northern Europe here, where it’s high humidity outdoors, but during cold months it’s dry indoors. The English Ivy I got in a pot was planted in store with moss on top. And it was planted together with other plants that don’t like overwatering, so your logic seems sound to me.
Just found a white spider on one of the leaves. Could be a pest? Is organic pest control enough on such a prolific plant? How much pest find ivy plants appealing?
White spiders could be harmless, but if it's a pest like spider mites, it can damage the plant by feeding on the leaves. Organic pest control can be effective. Solutions such as neem oil, insecticidal soap, or a water spray can help manage infestations. Ivy plants are moderately prone to pests like spider mites and aphids, especially when the plant is stressed or in dry conditions
Darker Leaves: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry, about once a week. Lighter Leaves: Water when the top inch of soil is dry; it may need more frequent watering. Water thoroughly and let excess water drain out. Adjust based on light and humidity.

I m obsessed with flowers
Yahhh we also love it 🥰
I love Ivy indoors (I'm English so it's just Ivy to me) I always get sticky little mites eventually and I'm organic all the way... any tips? x
Perhaps try spraying the infected plants with a neem oil, soap, and water solution.
