One Badass family and friends! That's some special ops recovery!
I watched both versions and the pucker factor from my Lazy-Boy was at least a 5 ... Many blessings , SMR
I have a feeling we are going to do a lot of stupid stuff here in the next few hours
Needs to be a t-shirt
There were so many t-shirt quotes in this video. We will go tip over somewhere farther. Lol
How would someone get in touch with you if they, say for example, wanted to pull an April fools prank on Matt some year? :D
@@MagentaRV I travel to do that
The customer should keep the hood crease as a reminder to check fluids before they go off road next time.
Owner may have punctured the oil pan somewhere along the route, climbing over the rocks !!
@@ricks.1318 absolutely possible.
@@ricks.1318 how do you call that protector metal plate that goes underneath? He should have had one of those fitted
@@infinitydreamzz A lot of off road vehicles have skid plate options, they are a necessity. Or just make one yourself.
If it's a real Rubicon they come with skid plates.. but those jeeps eat allot of oil if they are on steep inclines!
That wrecker is pure beast mode. Awesome team work!
That wrecker is the real bow tie killer!
I just want to take a second to appreciate the simultaneous upload from two perspectives from both FabRats and Matt’s channel, awesome content as always!
AGREED !!
Agreed. I always watch both videos just to get a second perspective of what’s going on. Both videos were great
This may be the greatest recovery I have EVER watched.
AGREED !!!!!!!!
I honestly can't believe he looked at the Tyre and said "you hit a rock".......No kidding! he hit all of them.
6:19 Paul, "I've got a feeling we're gonna do a lot of stupid stuff in the next few hours". Truer words were never spoken.
Should turn that into a shirt quote
Everyone needs a friend like Paul, a guy that'll do some crazy sh** to help a buddy out. If you don't have a friend like Paul, be a friend like Paul.
Matt and Paul are both that friend… and they’re friends with each other
If I were the owner of that Jeep I'd have everyone involved autograph the hood where it was dented and display it like a badge of honor. Maybe stick a few MORR and Fab Rats decals on it too.
@Beau Thomas Hah! My thoughts exactly....what he said, what he said!
Haha so true!
I absolutely agree. I'd love to know how it turns out. Matt said everyone told him there was no money to be made in off road recovery and you can see why. Thanks UA-cam
You gotta figure that a large percentage of the off-road community watches MORR and Fab Rats. Having that dent is the difference between someone saying “nice rubicon. Same color as the one that was rescued” and “DUDE, that is THE rubicon that was the star of the rescue! Mind if I take a few pictures?”
If it were my ride, I’d get all those autographs you mentioned then lovingly clearcoat it. I wouldn’t worry about folks saying I had to be towed, I’d quickly remind them that I got it IN there, which is huge in itself.
Ha, that’s exactly what I said in Matt’s comments. Badge of honor, have them all sign it and then clear coat it. 👍
Paul hit the nail on the head for every kid who has taken their Grandpa's or Dad's rig out in the hills and beat the crap out of it and broke something and tried to explain it. "I have no idea how that broke. We were being very careful"
That's one of the sketchiest and most exciting recovery yet.
Damn straight .... WHEW !!!!!!!!!!!
Hold on
That was wild. Paul's laugh when they were coming up that hill and it lurched sideways proves his mental state is a little off. I know because I can recognize my own kind.
The wrecker is a beast. Paul is a heck of an operator. The award though, goes to the wrecker's clutch. Awesome work!
That wrecker IS a Beast, for SURE !!!!! It saved the day .....
I could smell it.
Its fun keeping a carb running at that angle!
Tow truck wheelies, ben there, that's the 20 dollar ride, love it! Hey Paul leaf sprung tow truck, ya I feel your pain, have you seen the stack in mine?...LOL
I hope yall get together sometime!
I can only imagine having friends and family as tight as yours. Don’t ever let anything come between you. You are blessed.
Right? And awesome, clean content from both channels. Strong work, Folks.
Even the dogs were having a great time! There must be a word that denotes feeling one gets from watching this. blessed is good.
I realy can't add much to any of the comments. Just blessings from me too. O I would have had a brick when the jeep tipped a wee bit. Lol. I slide down 120 feet off our hiway. They pulled me back up backwards. Good job all of you
"Steal my dad's truck" I bet there's a heck of a story that goes along with the first time that statement came out of Paul's mouth!
Paul is one Hell of an operator. Michele always cracks me up. She’s all about having fun.
They are an amazing couple.
That had to be one of the craziest off-road recoveries I’ve ever witnessed . I drove a tow truck for a short time and grandpa’s tow truck he is nothing but a beast keep up the great content I even actually caught myself commenting out loud about that last crazy pull, where all three were pulling their hearts out.I think this is the first time that I have mentioned this channel outside of my family and I told two people about it today because it was just so crazy and fun to watch you guys do such a great job
I've been watching UA-cam since before it was owned by Google and I think this is literally the best collab I've ever seen. Y'all killed it!!!
100%
Agreed 👍👍👍
Thank you!!
Yep. Totally agree
It is definitely in the top 0.1%
Fab Rats & Matts are the best dam channels on UA-cam. Had a smile on my face the whole time. Awesome recovery guys.
That “Whoa-Go” stuff reminded me of a friend’s story. He was taking his GF for a snowmobile ride. High performance snowmobile. She was in back hanging on, both wore helmets. He took off at a good clip, and he heard her say “faster”, so he fed it the onions. Before long she said “FASTER”, so, realizing he had not impressed her, he throttled up a bit more, the third time he gave it all he could, at which point she slid off the seat, was barely hanging on being dragged, the skis came up into the air, and he almost wrecked before he could get it stopped. “WHAT is WRONG with you?! She screamed”. “You kept saying “FASTER” he said. “NO, she said, I was saying “BA$#TARD”!!!!
Story always cracked me up.😆
I posted this on Matt’s Off Road Recovery channel as well.
If we all share this video I almost guarantee it hits a million plus, there the gauntlet has been thrown..I’ll start the sharing right now, who’s with me?
Let’s make these two a little bit more famous!
Love the video!
Thanks for the love!!!
I’m in and shared to all my contacts, BUT, & I didn’t think of this until a couple friends called me and asked if I sent a “mass” recipient text, said yep, they said they deleted it cus with all the spam out there especially when you see multiple recipients allot will think someone hacked my phone and spammed them. Anyway I resent it to them. Damn the spam.
@@lazerrred share it through Facebook, not so much on messenger…
@@gsettlemyre Thanks, but I haven’t done much, if any “social media” since the social media has became so full of leftest keyboard commandos & cancel culture bs. I do several 4x4, SCCA sport car & USPSA competition pistol specific forums & that’s about it for me. And I do want to move to Utah. LOL.
That was definitely the Pucker-est recovery ever. Grandpa's truck saved the day due to Paul's stick shift ability. I grew up on stick shift, not many people go off-road with stick anymore.
I wouldn’t want to offroad in an auto... my old oil burner 80 series Toyota is my baby, 26 years and still going strong. 👍🏻🇷🇴🇬🇧
@@clivehorridge I had an 85 toyota tacoma, could'nt kill it, now I have an 06 taco...POS rust bucket
Not many auto 4x4s here in aus!
Modern show ponies, maybe, but not actual off roading rigs
@@clivehorridge I’ve got an 88 SR5, 22RE, with 325k on her. She is still pulling out “Big Bad a$$” 4WD trucks & Blazers out of trouble. 😉
Wow, a great video from another perspective of this rescue. When Matt's Banana began the descent down, I thought it was going to do a nose dive and flip over onto its top for a second due to the steep incline going down, but thankfully, it didn't do that and stayed planted, though not always on all fours at times.
Good job you all.
BTW, I first saw Matt's video, then saw the link and came over here to watch this one.
I love how Paul just laughs when it looks like he’s going off a cliff
That is how you get beyond those situations. Then in about a week you can poop again !
"HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................................................................!
Just laugh in the face of danger!
Everyone needs a good friend like these guys! It's not a story until someone almost dies.
When ever Fab Rats teams up with Matts Off Road Recovery I once thought Paul was the more sensible one. Now I have come to find Paul is the CRAZIEST one of the bunch.
Well, he just disguises it well. As long as things are relatively normal, he’s ‘normal’ as well. When things get a little hairy though, he just laughs and guns it. Albeit with a whole lot more skill and experience than I can muster.
The lot of them can wheel off-road, that’s for sure.
@RollinRat Nope. The FJ 80 on that trail was done by the owner of Yank'um Ropes.
@RollinRat they've got my dream job thats for sure

@@ITubeTooInc Yes.
When Paul "Get's a call", it's not going to be an easy day. I love Paul's attitude about it. I mean look at that smile 13:29 and 14:38
When Paul and Matt hang out and we get two vids of the same story from different perspectives! 👍🏿👍🏿
That was great! I’ve watched it 3 times. Now I’ll watch Matt’s version a 2nd and 3rd time. No dish or cable at our house, because nothing on the TV can compare with these 2 good friends and what produce for us to watch. Thank you!!!!!
You’re awesome!!
That Wrecker needs its own YT channel. I could watch that action all day long. 👍👍👍
I love when you guys team up. There's never a dull moment. Always sketchy and fun!
**THE TOTAL SUPPORT THESE LADIES GIVE THEIR MEN IS WAY BEYOND COMPARE!!!**
**GOD BLESS THESE LADIES!!!**
Amen!
Hey fab rat family, thanks to your channel I got the courage to do some wheelin at broken arrow in sedona. Also had the misses record some of it and make my own channel for my family and friends to see. Thank you for getting this fab rat fan to get more out of life.
“She rides better when you hit only every other bump”...
3:35 a sign of skill and knowledge, it’s counter intuitive, but holding off the brakes saved Rudy from rolling just then.
Paul with his hi-lift, pick a finger you don’t mind losing much” ...
Great stuff guys, all of you 👍🏻🇷🇴🇬🇧
We have super corrugated roads here in aus, the only way to drive on some is to find a speed where you float over the top.
60-90km/hr usually!
Yep, Rudy was on the money with getting off the brakes at the right time. I made the same comment in MOOR comments. And yes, Rudy can wheel. 😉
I know it’s been said a number of times already but when you guys collaborate and then both do videos from the different perspectives, it’s pure gold.
Honestly, watching Rudy's Jeep from the perspective on this video it was so much worse! 😮 Awesome teamwork as always!
That trail is no joke. The trail description calls the trail one way. It is described that way because that obstacle that Rudy lifted the left rear on the way in is considered for downhill only.
I really wish I could come hang out with all yall for a recovery... Paul is my favorite.
Man those old k30s are a beast. Matt hopefully donates to the tire and spring fund. Poor lizzy running and sliding.
Those K30 trucks gots some stiff rear springs. Ask me how I know this😆
That was one of the top recoveries yet. Glad you all made it out of their safely. Little carnage to the wrecker but nothing that cannot be repaired or replaced. Great filming Michelle. Saw you running up the hill several times. God bless you all.
It starts sliding to the hard left Paul just laughs... pure legend!!
Not just anybody could've drove that standard-shift tow-truck into, and out of that hole, good-job Paul!, thanks for sharing.
"Let 'er Buck Buttercup." :) Leaf Springs and straight axles are all I ever used to off road. I never died.
Same here... I use a beat up 86 Chevy M1008 for off road stuff
Great recovery from you all , team work was key for sure. Nice to see a different perspective from your video . Until next time take care and be safe .
The absolute best demonstration of skill, courage and teamwork that I've ever seen in this type of scenario.
What a WOW factor! !

This has to be one of the most awesome insane off road rescues I have ever seen you guys absolutely knocked it out of the park!!!!@#$%@ That old Chevy absolutely killed it what a good old rig you guys did such a great job this is the best rescue I've ever seen were it took 3 vehicles to get one out of the whole supercool watch wished out a been there to see it in in person!!!! 💯👍😄
My 1st Fab Rats video; I’ve been missing out! Paul you seem so sweet and genuine. No wonder everyone at MORR loves you!!!
Y’all had so much fun that day I had to watch both versions!! ❤️🐞
Tell me it ain’t so Buggy. Paul’s been hanging with Matt for quite some time. Great fun & Paul can hit er done fabricating. Learned it the right way too. By growing up doing it & making it work.
Oh, you have much binge watching in front of you. LOL.
@@samwalker3441 - 🤣🤣🤣 yes I do!
@@lazerrred - how have I missed out on this awesome channel 🤦♀️
@@GoatOffroad Hey Bug, all’s good U got em now. Paul and Matt have done some incredibly insane recoveries together, like having to weld driveshafts in really nasty places on the side of the mountains. Even recovered one truck that had been left for over a year because nobody else could recover it, ect. Oh, and Paul’s mobile welder he found at the dump, LOL. Paul is very resourceful. Matt & Paul are a real deal, plus they are a hoot.
Paul and Andrew Camarata are soul mates! If yall haven’t watched andrew , paul would love it!
I so love how much Clean fun you have.. Never anything vulgar are inappropriate. Great family entertainment!
As usual, Paul did an outstanding job of driving, Michele did a great job of laughing, videoing, and running up those hills. Got her exercise for the week!
I love the AAR (After Action Review) at the end. That's exactly how we all do it when we've gone through something sketchy/fun, we stand around telling war stories about it and laughing our backside off.
Awesome guys! Thanks. Edit- love how you guys are ready to help each other out and have such a great time doing it.
Have been recovered once in Death Valley but it was on pavement with a long and expensive tow from Towne Pass to Pahrump where we did repairs.
I have done some sketchy stuff overlanding but the obstacles on this recovery are probably a bit more extreme than anything I have done. Did the Behind The Rocks Trail and Pritchett Canyon in the early 90's in stock HiLux pickups and that was hairy as hell. This is an order of magnitude more extreme.
You have my utmost respect for doing this recovery. Simply stellar work.
I've watched Paul, Matt and their crew do some ingenious and impressive recoveries, this has to top all of them, congrats and keep them coming!
This is some of the most impressive off-road driving/towing I've ever seen. I don't know what ya'll get paid but shit its not enough. Great job. You guys are great Americans.
Super job on your video. The dialog, clean language and the characters and the editing are top notch. The action shots are superb in this one. This one deserves a million views for sure. Kudos!
It's too bad we can't click the approval button more than once. That next million views would be reached soooo much quicker!! ;^)
That wrecker is BOSS! Epic recovery! Also, having a friend like Paul is worth more than any material wealth or riches.
Always thought Mater was made in Pixars mind but no, he lives !

This is still one of the best videos on youtube. Absolutely love this recovery, love the friendship between Paul and Matt, love all the funny things they say. LOVE the vehicles. Great episode to re-watch.
That hood will buff out at 10:24. Crazy recovery!
No way lol Matt's camera gives a better look. That's a new hood. 😬

Tow Mater is a beast - I guess we'll see it in the shop next for new leafs and fuel injection
And an ORD doubler transfer case
Paul was driving a one ton truck with leaf springs, a manual transmission and a carburetor. That was the most impressive tow truck rock crawling in world history.
Paul feeding that wrecker all the onions. No fear. Well played.
This was an awesome recovery, the K-30 wrecker was a beast. The wrecker reminded me of my 1986 Chevy K-10 longbed, it sure can climb off-road. Thanks to Paul and Michelle for helping out Matt and his crew recover that Jeep from that unforgiving back country👍🇺🇸..
Never been offroading in my life, but I watch all your videos and love em. I have a 3/4 Ton 4 wheel Chevy work truck, Im tempting to go offroading .
Thats one of the craziest recovery I've seen! Impressive job on limiting the damages. You guys are one hell of an elite driver group
And no one died.....amazing..😂
"It’s all fun ‘til you get a flat tire" Paul.
Y’all just an awesome group of folks!🤙🏽❤️
So great to see the tow truck again. That thing is amazing and sounds so nice. Hats off to you you guys, and Matt’s team, amazing recovery!
You guys work so good with others. The highlight was when the wrecker was going up the steep rocky ledges and you mentioned OMG. Pauls laugh was a funny moment. You running up the hill with the camera wasn't included in your video. We now know who does the editing for your channel. Loved it and look forward to you guys making lots more. Thanks
Luv when you guys team up with Matt on recoveries cause I get to watch two versions of the story. Awesome stuff man, Thank you!!👍💪
Y'all did awesome! Had a M-936 (wrecker) with an immobilized hummer swinging from the boom, had to pick the whole thing up...and, yeah there was some pieces missing that made it lighter. The grade was steep and rocky, but not 30 degree steep, or with steps...and the trip was much shorter. Kudos to you guys for getting it done. Love the channel!!!
😠 Paul should've been wearing safety glasses to keep from rolling down that mountain! 🤣 Also Michelle did some awesome camera work while running up those rocks like a mountain goat👍
It’s like watching family working together even though I now you guys are just good friends. I enjoy watching both of your channels.
OK guys, that's more excitement on a Sunday morning than I need… Hey great job getting it out you guys.
Now we get to see Grandpa's tow truck getting new suspension build at Fab Rats!!
Paul: "That's why ya do it, it's fun!" That needs to be on a t-shirt!!!
Amen to that
Love it when your family and Matt’s family and his people get together on a job.Great recovery guy’s. Thanks for sharing.☺️☺️☺️👍👍👍
Paul, you are one crazy SOB! I would be happy to share a beer, or a Mountain Dew with you any day.
Grampa Sherm's Heavy Chevy is the baddest tow truck on the inter-webs! I will bet a cool grand of cash that no other truck could tow a 30 degree + trail with a 2 ton behind it and not flip out or die from stress! I love this rat rod! It deserves its own channel!
I usually watch Matt’s video for recoveries but I’m glad I watched this first. Man I’ve been missing out. Good job guys!
When the wrecker jumped to the left my heart was in my throat. And I'm watching on a cell phone from Canada. Had I been in Paul's place I would have desperately needed to change my shorts.
When I was in Vietnam / Air Cargo we used to say doing the difficult is common place and doing the the impossible just takes a little longer... you guys make it look easy. Great Videos
Man I love grandpa's tow truck, may not be a smooth ride but seems like that truck will go through anything and go anywhere . Can't wait to see it done . Paul's that friend that never completely grew up but you always want him by your side when you get into any situation. Smart, inventive, and he ain't scared, never know you can't do something till you fail right?
Checked this after I seen Matts video, this has more comical video content, great teamwork guys! another successful recovery. GOIN ON THE RAILS OF A CRAZY TRAIN!
didn't hear that on matt's vid, jamie always cracks me up... acts scared that matt or rudy will injure or kill themselves doing this, but knows better...... hell, she's a very capable wheeler herself
Old Betsy roaring her way up the hill....that was great fun to watch !!! Loving every single one of your videos the really make my day .
Well, we know what Paul's next video is gonna be...fixin' grandpa's wrecker! 😂🤣
Best videos on YT this year so far! Having Lizzy and the wives out there with em is awesome! Great job everyone!!
Oh my gosh . This deserves two takes . What a grinder !!! Mad props for the photogs , running up that hill !!!!
The Crazy Train comments/singing in the video sums up this recovery perfectly!
I loved it! Ozzy is always a great choice.
Matt and Paul don't see this as work or a job. This is always an adventure for them that is simply fun. Driving around in the mountains with the RAT ROD und Banana and having fun. Saving the Jeep is only a pleasant minor matter ......
Non-stop sketch and giggle fest. Love how you guys experience off-the-scale pucker factor and then laugh it off. Adrenaline does strange things to people. Thanks for another amazing video. Happy Sunday.
Let me guess... they popped a hole in the oil pan?
I love watching you guys. There is soooooo much love amongst you. It really shows and is great to see.
T-shirt that says: Fab Rats Its never any fun till you have a flat tire! My sides hurt from laughing so hard. I love this channel.
Life is all about perspective... and I'm so glad we have 2 on this job!! Nice work
Great recovery.! Also noticed Fab Rats is knocking on 100k subs. Should be on par with Matt in all honesty but you will get there...congrats! 👍👍👍
Way to Go Fab Rats and Matt's team. You guys scared the heck outta me but I'm glad you got this one in the bag with no injuries and minimal equipment damage.
Finished Matt’s video, now to Paul’s, 😮🤙🏼🤟🏻🇨🇦
... that'll buff out, ... LOL, yes everything buffs out, ;-)
Didn't think the wrecker would be that nimble,
super sketchy on those two spots but you pulled it off, great team effort, Kudos.
Love the out-takes, hilarious.
Glad no one got hurt and always impressed how beautiful the country is there.
An incredibly sketchy recovery by an incredibly capable team! I'm glad everybody survived the adventure! 😬😊😎
“But did you die” and “we may pee blood” 2 phrases that sum up why I never miss a video. 🤣🤙
