Got mine for 2100 used. It was the 512 gb with the official case and had no scratches or other damage. There’s a lot of people who bought it but are trying to get rid of it because of how expensive it is and the low number of useful apps. I saw other similar offers around 2500 but I realize how lucky I got with that deal. I would definitely recommend anyone getting one to look at used prices. Be careful of scams though. I got mine in person so I could verify the authenticity and condition.
That’s a great deal considering apple make these for $1550. You can also sell it for around the same price whenever you inevitably want to get rid of it. Win win
It’s extremely hard to get them that low. The 256GB model is generally going for around $2,700 I believe. It’s still great savings. I got the 512GB used on eBay for $3,500, but it came with a bunch of accessories and 2 years of AppleCare+. I still saved around $1,000 compared to buying new. Definitely worth buying used if you ask questions and look for the right seller.
I’ve had 6 months with this thing. I’ve got no problem with having paid full price to have had all this time to enjoy and understand it so much more than starting right now.
Great deal indeed, however, there must be another reason people are selling them for cheaper, the default apps are basically iPadOS apps, so lack of usefulness is an odd reason… The Vision Pro is definitely an amazing piece of kit… 🤔
I preordered the vision pro and had it since day one. Literally is silly to say but life hasn't been the same since in a good way. Love it and I know its going to last me for quite a while.
Same here, my power just went out and I had to go to my parents house for a week to work from home since they had power. I just brought my vision pro and laptop - thats it. Usually I'm bringing monitors and lots of things
I really appreciate the personal use cases and even-keeled overview. It's a breath of fresh air relative to the incessant Apple hype-train or hate-train on UA-cam. Thanks!
Glad you liked it! I know the vision pro is a bit of a hot topic, and the hype or hate clickbait gets a lot of clicks - I'm ok with being a chill middle ground haha thanks for the feedback 👍
Thank you! You can totally do this lighting setup - big, soft light source, and get it as close as you can without getting it into the shot. I have an Amaran 100x in a 35 in softbox just out of frame
This video is amazing!!! Everything from the lighting and editing is absolutely amazing! I was very shocked when I went down to sub to your channel and you had less than 300 subs. Trust me with these amazing videos you should have no problem hitting 1k, 10k, 100k or even 1m subs. Keep up the good work!
This production quality is very very good. I was shocked to see your channel stats after watching. Editing is clean, lighting is beautiful and mic quality is very clear. You deserve much more brother. Keep this work up and you’ll be going places big.
Geat video. My friend at work brought his vision pro into work this week and he allowed me to try it out. I have to say that it is the most impressive piece of tech i have ever used. I was so impressed i will be booking a demo at a apple store with a view to purchasing one myself. I wear glasses so i will be interested to see how it feels with the prescription lenses fitted. I wish that there was an NFL app for this device as that would be a killer app for me. The price tag is pretty high but i don't believe there is another device like this. By the way very well produced video, surprised you don't have way more subscribers.
The immersive content on the avp is absolutely crazy, and the tough part is that you have to see it with the headset on to appreciate it. You can't just watch it on a computer monitor to understand it. The basketball/soccer games would be insane - it's coming i'm sure. And thank you for the kind words! I'm working on it!
I’ll wait for the second or even third generation. The weight and the field of view (and of course the price), is holding me back. Another thing is, that I think Apple should consider to extend desktops for Windows as well. That’d be a game changer for Homeoffice. But we use Windows, so can’t choose a Mac, even if I wanted.
The main draw for the Mac virtual display for me is being able to see my display in any lighting condition! In the mornings it’s really hard to see my display because the sun is shining directly at me. I think an Apple Vision Pro would solve this issue!
Mac virtual display is my main use-case for the vision pro and love using it (I'm using it right now to type this comment!), the vision pro is great at rejecting light coming from in front of you - so that could work! In my uses, it's more problematic if the light is coming from behind you and youre not using the proper light seal. There will be some glare on the lenses, but if it's coming from directly in front of you, it should work very well
0:59 I have a Vision Pro and a cyber truck. You can’t use the Vision Pro in the cybertruck as easily as you can in the model S (or 3 or Y or X) since the Cybertruck doesn’t have autopilot
Cybertruck doesnt have autopilot?? Thats crazy, you'd think it would. Is that a planned feature for later or did they say no autopilot on the truck ever?
I’ve had it since day 1 and love it. I own the Quest Pro and 3 for reference. Like you, I like not bothering with controllers. I use my AVP almost daily to watch content. Once the Ultrawide is released, I’ll try it for work. Right now I have an ultrawide + a Wacom Cintique so the Immersed app isn’t comparable. I hope that’s not the case with Apple’s. I also used it for capturing elderly loved ones. Priceless.
Can’t wait for the ultrawide update! I have the quest 2 and just tried my friends quest 3 and to me, they’re just made for different things than the Vision Pro is made for. If you want games, the quest has more options. But content consumption and productivity are where the Vision Pro really shines. Thanks for sharing your take!
Damn! My credit card hates you right now! 😂 Joking aside, I took an in-store demo as soon as they were available in my native UK and really was impressed. I'm a software developer and use a MBP with dual 5K LG displays every work day for 8 hours or so, which kinda ties me to my desk albeit I work from home full time. What I would like to be able to do is go sit in my lounge or garden, or anywhere, and be able to get real work done on virtual displays, and it sounds like the upcoming features might make that possible albeit at dual 4k resolution not dual 5k + laptop as I have now. That is a trade-off I would most likely make. The other thing that has been a barrier is the current guest mode support, because I would want to be able to let my wife try it out for environments, spatial videos and photos, and movies. So I'm glad to see that guest mode in vOS2 will remember the last guest settings. That will make me feel WAY less guilty at spending a large amount of money on a product that only I can really use! As for buying second hand versus new, that's a tough one. Yes you can make some savings, although I didn't find any particularly compelling options on eBay this evening, but I kinda feel as if this device is going to have a 3-5 year life span before it becomes "last gen" since I think the main push will be towards cost reduction in the next version rather than feature enhancement. In fact, this could end up being the best AVP device for quite a few years as Apple try to balance size, weight, cost and features for more mainstream usage. So I think I'll be more inclined to go for a new purchase with 512GB of storage and Applecare+. That's not going to be cheap but when I do come to upgrade to the next gen device, I should be able to get a better trade-in or private sale value for my first gen device which will help offset things a bit. Thanks for the video - really good work.
Thank you for the kind words! I can’t wait for the ultrawide update, I love using Mac virtual display and more screen real estate would be really nice. I’m using multiple desktops in macOS for now, so while the window size is the same, I can still have multiple pages of apps open and it’s been fine for work so far. Would love to see multiple users added, my wife would like to watch some movies but the eye tracking is a little bit off from me to her if we just take it off and give it to her while still using my profile/password. Seems like an easy update that would improve the user experience a lot. Love hearing how you would use it and your thoughts! Thank you!
I've had mine since launch...that's not true. I returned it. It felt unfinished. However I missed it so much after I returned it I bought it again. It's changed my life when it comes to air travel and work while traveling requirements. I don't travel without it.
I totally understand that! It seemed like a nice-to-have but after editing with it while traveling, I can’t go back to the tiny laptop screen with glare. Haha. Thank for your take, love your channel by the way!
@@BrandonTalbot Thanks dude! I've been loving them, I had to send my demo lenses back but want to purchase the set later this year. Absolutely loved using them
Paid $1900 cash on marketplace and exchanged cash and AVP in front of the local Apple Store. Mint condition. Half price. I’m *very happy* with this product at under $2000. At $3500 retail? Absolutely not. It’s a 256 but considering the amount of content, that should suffice.
Great video and really informative! I’ve only just bought my Vision Pro too, although it’s only been out here in the UK less than a month ago. Learning new things all the time!
Great video, it's the first one from you that I watch and from the beginning I felt like "I can trust this guy", there is something in your way of sharing about your story and the topic that I find really great. Plus the production, the thumbnail, the description and all is great, honestly I'm really surprised by your subs counter. Keep it up, don't hesitate to take snippets from your videos to publish on TikTok, IG, Facebook reels and UA-cam shorts (the last two are fire today), AI can surely help to do it super fast. Honestly I even Googled your name like this dude has to have a previous UA-cam life, this is 100k subs content minimum. I've had a previous life on youtube, if you want to get it you really have something - but it's totally fine not to necessarily want it. (Plus I landed on your video because it was at the top of my homepage - and yes, indeed, I clicked - the algorithm putting it there really says a lot on how good your content is)
This is the biggest compliment you could have given me! Thank you so much! I want to make honest videos and that was great to hear. I do have another channel - although it's not at 100k haha. It's linked in my channel home page if you want to check it out, it's mostly about filmmaking, gear and tutorials. I'd love for this channel to be about more consumer tech and design. If you have anymore advice, let me know! Maybe I should start an Instagram and TikTok for "Keith Board"?
Great video Keith! I'm still hesitant to pull the trigger due to the price vs how much of a productivity boost I think it'll actually give me but I'm closer to it now. Keep up the great content.
It's definitely a steep price. How I justified it was, I travel a lot and often am not as productive when away from my office because of using a small laptop screen. I can get more editing done for clients and these youtube videos when I'm on the go because of the AVP. I also happen to like watching movies and consuming content on this, but I mostly use it for working while away from my office
I've heard people in this comment section getting good deals on them now! Like $1000 off retail. You may not have to wait until next year to get a good deal
@@KeithBoard Regarding workflows, can you mention how this might fit into various device usage workflows? "This is good for iPad/this kind of work, good for laptop, good for desktop with multi monitors, etc."?
@@ericchang7759 I plan on making more videos like that! I just made one comparing the apple vision pro to dual monitors - there isn't much technical "this is how I use mac virtual display"-type stuff, but I have that planned for the future. Anything you'd like to see in particular, let me know and I'll try to include that in the next videos 👍
The interface is very nice but it really isn't comfortable and I find with all these VR headsets they can become misaligned so the illusion stops working
I'm not aware of an app or anything that will allow you to zoom in on the home screen or taking it to an event, I'm not saying it doesn't exist - but I'm not aware of one. Is this an accessibility feature?
@@KeithBoard zooming wasn’t available when I tried the Vision Pro at the Apple store on launch. But I do have a Samsung virtual reality headset that’s adapted to do just that. Same price.
Not sure if zoom has been there the whole time or was one of the smaller vision OS 1 updates, buts it’s certainly been there for a few days. Its under accessibility, has a toggle for how much zoom and a toggle for if it’s just a window or your entire FOV.
Greta video, what version of Notion are you using, to have the ability to have a large monitor while using your Mac and AVP? You said that it's actually an iPad app.
Thanks! I'm using the iPad version of notion - it might show up in the "compatible apps" folder on the home screen of the AVP. It's ok as a stop-gap until they (hopefully) release a visionOS-optimized version
I agree, the tough part about the AVP is that you have to see it and use it to understand it. I bet more try-on events, and more big name companies making apps (UA-cam, Spotify, more social media apps) would lead to faster adoption. It's still pretty early days!
As someone who bought one the first day of availability in UK, I’m totally fed up with the number of videos that are showing how fantastic it is because of Mac Virtual Display. I’m a PC user (and you can’t do it) and I have an 1TB M4 iPad Pro (which is as powerful as a MacBook, and it can’t do Virtual Display for that either. They really need to get some of the Mac Virtual Display functionality to iPad at least, or even PC.
I'm surprised that they don't have the ability to run or interface with ipads or iphones yet. I updated my iPhone to ios18 dev beta and can have a preview of my iPhone on the vision pro but I cannot control my phone through the vision pro. It's only a screen mirror of the phone, which is still useful - but being able to interact with my phone via the AVP would be amazing. I feel like if they can get mac virtual display to run, they can get an iPad, iPhone or PC to run as well. Time will tell.
@@KeithBoard Yeh, screen mirroring phone would be handy as I often have stuff only on my phone while using AVP, and it’s hard to see. Thing with the iPad is though, I don’t want a screen mirror, I want it to be able to be a virtual display like Mac. I can use a much higher resolution display if I plug HDMI into iPad, so It should just be the same as that. I feel like they (Apple) don’t want to give the iPad some of the things the MacBook has though. Would be so good to have iPad apps running on iPad, but in big virtual display through Vision Pro.,
i just wish the mac screen mirroring didn't have to be the same apple id. this is impractical for work laptops because like, i don't want my employer to have access to my apple id. i use an app called split screen and it's great - almost as good as the native functionality - but not quite as good unfortunately. only other complaint from me is the lack of apps, and that doesn't seem to be a thing that's likely to change; too little market share for the cost of a device for companies to invest in
A business account, or separate account like how a mac can have multiple users is a really interesting use-case. Since I use my laptop for work and personal, I guess I never ran into that. But I can totally see not wanting an employer to have access to all of my data. This seems like something that could be added
I don't see the point of widgets on visionOS, but maybe pinned windows or saved workspaces is the way forward. I even don't think widget are necessary on macos
Saved workspaces would be great. I like having a "dashboard" of things to see time, weather, news headlines, stock prices, battery life of all of my devices - I've gotten pretty used to seeing this at a glance with my phone and mac. Would love to see that on the avp
When I tried it out at the apple store, there was this black border and it felt like i was looking through binoculars. Me and the employee tried adjusting it a bunch but just couldn't get the black border and the "looking through binoculars" feeling.
Yeah, the field of view is pretty narrow compared to other headsets. I don’t mind it because I use it for mostly for extending my Mac screen, so I’d rather have a narrower field of view with higher resolution, than wider fov. Realize that’s not for everyone though. I hope they have more fov options via different light seals in the future
I've had mine for more than 5 months now and I can't use it for work. It's just too uncomfortable to use for that many hours. It's not just the bands/straps. My eyes get very strained after a while.
I could see that. What band were you using? And were you using the proper light seal? My eyes get strained when the lenses have glare on them - or the text is too small
Yeah, I feel like the full release of visionos 2 will make a big impact on how people use the device vs how they use it now. I signed up for the developer preview, and havent had any huge issues with it yet - but I understand that isn't for everyone
@@KeithBoard I don’t mind installing Betas (have done with phone and iPad), but there’s a way to go back to normal release. So I’ll just have to wait :)
meanwhile I'm here waiting for at least a year before buying because 2100 in my place is still a bit too much for what it does in my opinion, maybe 1500 1800 is reasonable I believe
Bought one and returned it. It’s just to heavy and the eye strain for me was way to much. It’s an amazing device all that said it just isn’t for me right now.
When you mention pinning apps like widegets in the hud I'm right there with you. I think of it like picture and picture (PiP) on the iPhone. Great video.
The biggest things I don’t like are the lack of being able to take calls or interact with your phone in any way. The white cloudy glare in dark environments is horrendous and ruins movies and content watching in immersive places. The terrible field of view means you’re moving your head around during work and multi screen views. It doesn’t do a good job of mirroring the visual experience of eyes with cameras, ie: (fuzzy when you move your head around.) Unlike real external displays where the entire thing stays sharp regardless if it’s in your direct straight ahead FOV. There’s too much facial pressure on your nose or forehead. One of the use cases Apple touts is plane usage… well most flights I’ve been on lack outlets and the battery life is 2 hours. It also takes up almost all of your carry on personal item bag. Useless on a plane. The continuity experience with other products isn’t good. The way that screen mirroring happens is that it treats the Mac like a random external device. It should operate as a native app in the headset that’s more stable vs. the proclivity to disconnect and lose your mouse support. In multiple screen mode your apps are an iPad interface and your Mac is a Mac interface. It’s confusing to have both UIs in the same user experience, ie when you’re moving the mouse from iPad app on VP to the Mac mirrored display. The Mac display text looks small on the massive VP environment because it’s not made to be expanded out so far. There’s a lot….
This is an amazing video! I was stunned when you didn’t have like 4 million views 😂. You have just earned a new sub. Keep trying, I know you’ll hit it big someday!
I’m just confused why people are confused Apple gives free demos do the demo or don’t do the demo like I just I can’t wrap my head around while someone would buy it and not do the demo but this is America so there’s that
In some parts of America, apple stores are pretty few and far between. I had to drive an hour and a half to buy my first MacBook in 2007. I’ve got one close now, but not everyone lives near one
9:30 - This is wonderful but remember that the first iPhones were never capable of updating to the app store, and never-ever had copy-paste. it was until iPhone 3G. I hope this product can "update" itself into the future without needing to buy an "Apple Vision Pro 3G"...
I hope on apples roadmap, the idea was to release the "Pro" version first, with more computing power, then release the non-pro version that would probably have some solid new features, but then update the Pro to also have those features.. and more. This is pure speculation, but it would make sense if apple wanted to avoid the situation you just described. The first few iPhones had major leaps in technology (in the scheme of tech at the time) and hopefully the AVP doesnt suffer the same fate. Only time will tell. This is still early days 🤞
I have not tried to use a mouse with the AVP unless it's with mac virtual display, and in that case the mouse is paired with the mac. You can use the trackpad/keyboard from the macbook pro on visionos apps - but that kind of defeats your purpose of using a non-apple mouse. Hopefully they add support for more devices in the future
@@KeithBoard yeah I can’t really do “real work” without a mouse. I didn’t want to have to pair my Mac and only do a mouse like that. But I’ll give it a shot.
The ability to have a multiple screen virtual setup is the game changer. Before purchasing VP/ 1TB, I was looking into TWO Studio Displays with Nano coating, and height adjustable tilt stands, plus, a 48” Ultrawide from either Samsung or LG, and then a speaker system and new desk… We would have easily spent well over TWICE the amount we spent on the AVP, and had far less fun and enjoyable experiences… I even still play a quirky little Tetris knockoff game on it that I usually play on the iPad, but in a whole new way, and 3D Chess too… 🤔
WIth that budget, you could get the 512 AVP and a studio display! Best of both worlds. I love the AVP, but I don't think it's a total replacement for physical monitors - as I'm typing this using my AVP and mac virtual display haha
I would absolutely love that. Custom gestures instead of keyboard shortcuts, using your eyes and tapping your fingers together to move around the timeline. Sounds amazing
i personally think its way over priced for what it is. i get it that a lot of people think its a great device and that is fair enough but for me its jsust not worth it
Some people in these comments have said theyve seen them over $1000 off! I'd make sure they have valid apple care before purchasing, but it seems like there are some great deals on the used market right now
@@thevegetableaddict4625 There is a transfer process involved I'm sure. Once you find one, get the serial number and give the apple store a call to make sure everything checks out and is genuine. And not just someone saying it has apple care when it really doesnt
Haha thats how I was too! After seeing the potential with mac virtual display and movies, I was hooked. Check out the used market! People in my comments have gotten up to $1000 off and still was able to transfer the apple care
there’s an app that allows you to you to build custom status bars (sorry I don’t remember what it’s called) I have a bar that sit’s on my desk in front of my keyboard which has, Time, Date, Battery, Next Calendar Event, Weather, Battery and App Start buttons. Game changer.
Interesting review of-sorts. I think many people have limited imaginations and, ironically, cannot imagine that there are things they cannot imagine. Basically, they’ve decided this device is trying to be X or should be used for Y but is not perfect at X or Y so it’s a failure and also too expensive. This reviewer spoke to his own experience when didn’t mentioned 3D content even once. That’s fine. I point it out because different traits will be important to different people. I don’t use Mac’s. I use pc’s. I don’t use this for dedicated work. I watch or create 3D content on it every single day. No one mentions 3D, first-person recordings of family events or moments. I play with my little ones and get a first-person, 3D recording of the moment. That 💩 is PHENOMENAL. Ultimately, I’m glad the reviewer found his cost justification for the device. And I’m glad that he didn’t suggest that’s all the device is good for (and thus, if it fails at that, it’s a failure) like so many shortsighted reviewers.
Love hearing how different people are using the AVP! I've been enjoying the movie-watching experience, I tested the 3d movie experience with Bladerunner 2049 - wanted to just watch a few mins and ended up almost watching the whole thing it was so good! And I've seen bladerunner a LOT. Haha. I have a video idea to talk about media consumption more in detail. Another thing, when I showed my wife the AVP she was excited to get two and watch movies together, then I told her thats not possible and she suddenly didn't want one and said she'll just borrow mine if thats the case. I feel like shared media experiences have to be coming in future updates. As for the video creation aspect of the vision pro, I do have a lot of opinions about that as well - but I'm still testing recording with my iPhone 15 pro max vs the vision pro. There are some differences, and editing a spacial video is a little clunky right now. I thought I was going to be able to edit multiple spacial videos together on the device, but right now you can only trim clips. There are also differences in the aspect ratios of AVP spacial video and iphone 15 pro spacial video. It's kind of a lot to unpack, but have a video bulleted out in the future about it. But it is very awesome to shoot and view spacial video! I can't speak to the PC usability with the AVP though. I have a pc, but have not tried to use them together though. If you get that working or have a guide, let me know Thanks for your comment and love hearing everyones use-cases for the AVP. This is good for a few different things, and it's only going to get better/more refined as time goes on
I got mine specifically for taking 3d videos and watching them in the AVP of my kids. It really has been worth the price for me, just for that. Really looking forward to Version 2 allowing me to turn my 2D photos into 3D - that will be cool. 3D movies and "Immersive" content are very good in this headset. I'm loving mine.
I want so bad to play Harry Potter vr game with device like vision pro. Imagine you use controller as magic wand 🪄 and use spell like avada kedavra to enemies. It will be a dream coming true.
Apple is pricing themselves right out of this market. The price is insane. I want one but I also know that all tech depreciates quicker than other consumer product. People have these in the nice little protective cases but in 2 years you’ll toss it on the couch. Bring down the price Apple this is just way too much for what you get out of it.
Apple was never gonna make a second iteration of this specific headset. This was specifically for developers to build out the lighter poor man’s version. that means the displays in the next iteration will be lower quality because they have to be as will the materials.
Good review, but this is the most de-valuedated Apple product for a reason. Even if the hardware and software where perfect, there are very few reasons to use a VIsion Pro and none of them involve 2D work, which is 95% of all work. For 3D modeling, gaming, and some engineering work it is fantastic however, but even so, it's not something that you will wear all day, it's just a very expensive complement to other computing devices that are much more ergonomic and practical
Agree, but I think the avp as another tool to use on it's own - not a tool that will replace all other tools (phone, tablet, computer). I think it's benefits are working while traveling and content consumption, which is pretty nice considering it's price tag. I just made another video going over this about the AVP vs Dual Screens
Genuinely confused on how so many are happy with their purchase. 4K to watch content makes me want to punch myself in the face. Every time I use mine, all I think of is what I could have spent 4 grand on instead. Don't do it ppl. Don't do it... Apple clearly knows this was a flop, and are probably expediting work on the next iteration that is sure to be cheaper, lighter and more.
@@KeithBoard Personally, I'd have put the heavy processing outside the headset, to reduce the weight and also battery requirements. There should ideally be a 180 degree FoV. The higher end PiMax products are somewhat awkward and require an external processor, but at least you can get a more impressive experience.
Thank you so much for the support! And awesome! I hope it was a good post haha do you have a link to the post? Or what to search to find it - youtube blocks links sometimes
I’m a inventor, I have lots of ideas today many prototypes I made, when I tested VR first time it was 1994 connected to Atari 3000 I was loved in that technology, but after 3-4 years nothing happened only thing I saw was Olympus glasses that make me put video in so I can watch movies in big screen, then OQ came out and FB buys them now lots happens, BUT still we miss the killing app! Unfortunately my brain doesn’t stop working now I have made big documents about my ideas on paper, it’s something big, and I believe if I make this it’s going to be hits now I want to buy Apple Vision Pro to start making something ore start some small do small parts of my project. I be happy if you can explore from the beginning how to start making and using Apple developer software ore something maybe you can create new channels in Discord about this topic.
Too much talk with no demonstrations :) Just talking and gesturing over a headset is no where nearly enough to bring it justice ... the iphone hasnt changed enough from 1st gen to 15 in 17 years am i wrong? apple was the company that makes that new thing, there hasnt been a real new thing since 2007. How much improvement or innovation is your benchmark for success? Try out a new iPhone, then try the first one - there has been a lot of improvement over the years

Great deal! I suppose if the apple care would transfer over, there shouldn't be any issues
Great deal indeed, however, there must be another reason people are selling them for cheaper, the default apps are basically iPadOS apps, so lack of usefulness is an odd reason… The Vision Pro is definitely an amazing piece of kit…
🤔
I preordered the vision pro and had it since day one. Literally is silly to say but life hasn't been the same since in a good way. Love it and I know its going to last me for quite a while.
Same here, my power just went out and I had to go to my parents house for a week to work from home since they had power. I just brought my vision pro and laptop - thats it. Usually I'm bringing monitors and lots of things
@@KeithBoard Something about putting the headset on helps with focus as well!
Keen for one in the future... as long as they do not reduce the resolution. That's what makes it stand out.
Fantastic production quality brother. I wish I had your light set up skills
Thank you so much for the kind words!! I Glad you enjoyed it - makes me want to make more videos!
The important question! Will updates and programs continue and will development continue within Apple Vision Pro?
This production quality is very very good. I was shocked to see your channel stats after watching. Editing is clean, lighting is beautiful and mic quality is very clear. You deserve much more brother. Keep this work up and you’ll be going places big.

@@theliamkingsley This is awesome to hear! Love it!!
Extending windows machines would be awesome. The gamin... I mean, productivity would be awesome.....
@@KeithBoard yes ... vision pro could be the ultimate gaming screen ... get on it Apple , I want this feature yesterday lol
I really want to get it, but I have high hopes for apple vision 2, whenever that comes out. so i'll wait. Unless I can get refurbished for half price
@@KeithBoard no AP at the moment. Coming “soon”. Mostly because all the training data isn’t designed for its large size.
Im use me since day one. Now with the ultra wide its a must for work
I’ve had it since day 1 and love it.
Thanks for sharing your take!
yes , the VR camera for documenting , pets , elderly family members etc. So much potential with the vision pro
Got a base model for $2500 with a bunch of accessories. Was still able to buy Apple care and everything.
Fantastic deal! Did it have apple care already? Or were you able to buy it ?
@@KeithBoard yes I was able to buy it still.
excited for your future AVP vids brother
Thanks! Excited to make them! 🙌
Just make sure y'all get the over the forehead extension support that you can find on the Internet. It really needs additional support.
Damn! My credit card hates you right now! 😂
Joking aside, I took an in-store demo as soon as they were available in my native UK and really was impressed.

Terrific. Sounds great. I am legally blind and will buy theVisionPro when I can zoom the Home Screen. For instance, take it to a sporting event..
It’s not designed for that
I'm not aware of an app or anything that will allow you to zoom in on the home screen or taking it to an event, I'm not saying it doesn't exist - but I'm not aware of one.
@@Harbin_Sky Great. The toggle for FOV was not there when I did the demo at launch. I'lll go get another demo ASAP. Many thanks.
My concern is that the Vision Pro will not catch on mainstream and, thus, there will not be development and support long-term. We'll see!
I agree, the tough part about the AVP is that you have to see it and use it to understand it. I bet more try-on events, and more big name companies making apps (UA-cam, Spotify, more social media apps) would lead to faster adoption. It's still pretty early days!
@@KeithBoard they also need "shared experience" for games, movies, etc
@@jebaker2 Totally agree
they should add the time to ur wrist
Did you purchase Apple Care+?
Yes, absolutely
Good review
Looking forward to your future videos on the Vision Pro
Thank you - I'm working on more videos now!
I’m going to have to wait till VOS2 is released properly as there is no way (without the developer connection) to roll back to normal OS.

You’ve got a great on-camera authority.

When you mention pinning apps like widegets in the hud I'm right there with you. I think of it like picture and picture (PiP) on the iPhone. Great video.
Thanks! Would be great for some apps, or info-at-a-glance -type stuff
Ich habe sie seit der Verfügbarkeit in Deutschland und bin sehr zufrieden damit.

Check your facts buddy. The first iPhone goes to iOS 3.1.3, which had the App Store….
2:12 I bought Vision Pro for productivity but since you can’t connect a bt mouse (other than the one Apple ‘magic mouse) it’s uselsss for me for work
I have not tried to use a mouse with the AVP unless it's with mac virtual display, and in that case the mouse is paired with the mac.

Before purchasing VP/ 1TB, I was looking into TWO Studio Displays with Nano coating, and height adjustable tilt stands, plus, a 48” Ultrawide from either Samsung or LG, and then a speaker system and new desk… We would have easily spent well over TWICE the amount we spent on the AVP, and had far less fun and enjoyable experiences…
I even still play a quirky little Tetris knockoff game on it that I usually play on the iPad, but in a whole new way, and 3D Chess too…

If you get that working or have a guide, let me know
Thanks for your comment and love hearing everyones use-cases for the AVP.

Apps are doing those conversions right now.
I pretty much wear mine around the house all day instead of my glasses! 😂
Apple was never gonna make a second iteration of this specific headset. This was specifically for developers to build out the lighter poor man’s version. that means the displays in the next iteration will be lower quality because they have to be as will the materials.
Would love to see an apple vision non-pro variant at a much lower price point
nice bro
Thank you! 🙏
I wish more UA-camrs drank beer while recording videos.
Where has this feedback been all my life
Good review, but this is the most de-valuedated Apple product for a reason.
Mainly just want... Better field of view...
Fov options with different seals would be nice to have in the future
@@KeithBoard Personally, I'd have put the heavy processing outside the headset, to reduce the weight and also battery requirements.
There should ideally be a 180 degree FoV.
The higher end PiMax products are somewhat awkward and require an external processor, but at least you can get a more impressive experience.
i thought this was a 10 mil subs generic youtuber video then i looked down and went WOAAAAHHH only 586 subs?!?
Haha hopefully someday!!
A Reddit post led me here.
Now I'm subscribed. 😎👍
Sounds awesome! Are you interested in building apps or building something else?
Driving while wearing a vision pro 😂 Can you imagine police reaction when they find your dead body in the car crash. 😅
😂😂😂
Too much talk with no demonstrations :) Just talking and gesturing over a headset is no where nearly enough to bring it justice ... It is like I would make a review of a Ferrari driving experience next to someone else's Ferrari, even without their knowing :))) Maybe this will push you and so many others to understand what a tech review should actually consist of ;)
I tired it out. It hurts your neck after 15-20 minutes
They really need to come up with a different way to wear it and reduce the weight
Which band were you using?
There really is nothing better. Yeah you got the.. I don't know what to call them that haha try to compare Quest 3 with Apple Vision.. a joke.
the iphone hasnt changed enough from 1st gen to 15 in 17 years am i wrong? apple was the company that makes that new thing, there hasnt been a real new thing since 2007. Apple was a company you would think they would have reinvented the phone again in 2018 but they didnt at this point we need a replacement and i guess the vision pro isnt it so im worried about apples future. I dont think a 2027 iphone flip is good enough think about it 20 years to get there?
How much improvement or innovation is your benchmark for success? Try out a new iPhone, then try the first one - there has been a lot of improvement over the years
@@KeithBoard normally a company wants to to transform after 10 + years. after 17 years why is the phone still a touch screen slab of glass with apps? thats a long time without some new mind blowing innovation. My benchmark would be like hologram or the vision pro but i thought the vision pro would replace iphone having the ability to do everyone on vision u can on iphone. Now im skeptical if the vision pro will even feel like a magic imax movie theater that i thought was already baked in. from flip phone to iphone was night and day well do that again the phone or product will take on a new physical or non physical form with a new interface

Still way too expensive
The AVP price tag is pretty steep, looking forward to a more affordable version. Assuming there will be a non-pro version sometime?
Not for me and many wealthy people. It costs less than hi-fi monitors
So then this is literally a pointless video of you justifying your purchase to yourself. Ok there dude…
Thought it would help others, and wanted to share my opinion🤷♂️
Yet you watched it and bothered to comment on it.
Worst product ever, and I’m an apple fan lol
What makes this the worst product ever in your opinion?
@@KeithBoard it’s a VR headset pretending to be an AR headset. No one wants led screens burning your eyes out for long periods of time. Customers want a real AR headset that mimics a pair of Raybans ie see real life through glass. Meta Orion has the right idea.
@@speedgoat7496just admit you’ve never used it. This is so much better than every other headset on the market
