I love my Vision Pro. I always seem to start a movie and by the end I a bunch of floating apps all around me. Love it can do everything and have a game like HSR running with a controller.
Agree - with V2 I think apple have showed that they can enhance the value of AVP just with software alone. the wrapped screen macbook display is next and that will add more value. the 3d photos is amazing for those pics with loved ones and adds significant value to the already amazing movie watching experience.
I only got a Vision Pro in September and have become really addicted. I can't wait to get home from work and put on my Vision Pro and enter this virtual world, mostly for the incompatible movie watching experience, but also as a photographer to edit photos in Lightroom with a giant size screen. It is expensive, but no more than having a high quality home cinema setup and the Vision Pro I can take with me when travelling, which I do a lot to use on air flights and in hotel bedrooms. It is not a life essential, and will never be ubiquitous like the iPhone, but for those than can afford and have a life where it fits in, it is a wonderful quality of life enhancer. I think the technology will eventual come across into new Apple smart glasses which will then become like the new Apple watch, or even replace the iPhone as the ultimate mobile device. I believe that is Apple's roadmap to use together with Apple AI.
the new hand gesture menu upgrade is not Apple original, MQ3 already did that. Wireless mouse and Bluetooth too... AVR release was half-baked just like IP16 with no AI yet. It's a shame for AI (Apple LATE Intelligence)while their counterpart Galaxy AI has been implemented since S23.
I don't have a vision pro but I have been shooting all video in spatial video because the quality is just so good and I have an Nreal AR glasses that I can watch them in 3D and it looks great.
Vision Pro is not a device for people like me, because we can’t get it here in Norway, it will be good if we can get it here in Scandinavia & Nordic & Europe! I hope Apple will come with Version Pro outside of USA!
Apple Vision Pro is an entirely new computing platform. This first-generation model was created primarily for software developers to test, evaluate and use to conceive and create groundbreaking new products. Early adopters should know this. But it will progress, and succeed.
For me, would love a simpler version with high quality/resolution still included for watching entertainment. Would be nice if it could be a real replacement for large screen 4k+ TVs in everyday which means an accompanying audio experience. Seems that would be more like a helmet with a visor.
The new home button gesture is pretty annoying. I wish they just did a couple simple things to improve the control center dot instead. One of the foundations of interactions in visionOS is that you don't have to have your arms moving around up in front of you. You can keep it comfortably in your lap. So nearly every other interaction is all done without looking at your hands at all, it does not feel natural or intuitive to suddenly need to hold up your hand and look directly at it. Especially since I don't need to read the home button. This also conflicts with immersive apps that have custom gestures. So many times I've tried to do the gesture without looking at my hand and been frustrated it didn't do anything. I think the original mode was better thought out. They need to find something better. This isn't it.
You don’t need your fingers in a V-shape to get the home button. Just turning your hand is fine. I like it, but wish there was a different gesture to get the other gizmo.
Hi, nice video review 👍 But I have a question that so far I haven’t found someone else (there are no many out there 😅) that can tell me if they have the same problem, and even at the Apple Store they couldn’t tell me much and figure out what to do… I saw some other people discussing about it on reddit.. but I not an actual solution or a confirmed issue: So pretty much I’m seeing a very annoying glare/reflection all the time floating around in front of my eyes of the brighter things of what is in front of me, the more they are in contrast (white on black) the more they are visible and annoying.. sometimes watching movies is almost impossible because too annoying 😤 It’s pretty much like that the lenses are dirty and the light passing through refract on it, but they are perfectly clean and I tried everything… Do you experience any similar problem?? This is a common problem when using vr headsets. Some lenses are better, some worse. So you cannot completely avoid it. The only thing you can do is to avoid any light leaking (when using the light seal) and maybe it helps to watch a movie using a dark background.
