Edit: Ok nevermind, i've seen the entire video and some are worse.
I mean no disrespect, i can't even do what they do. I'm asking out of curiosity because there's a big disparity between the levels shown in the video, wich is okay, but being top 100 of almost 3000 i expected a high quality (wich 95% of those are). But if that beginner-amateur 5% has gotten into it, means either there was irregularities in the selection process, or the remaining 2700ish of them are entry level stuff or worse.
I don't know how to better express myself in english, so i guess i'm sounding like an asshole anyways.
@@aenaros6845 Hey dude, I 100% get you. There are some I saw people do on UA-cam that I personally felt deserved to be in top 100, but didn't make it. The judging isn't perfect, and that's just a fact, only a few people not getting payed looking for 2000+ videos takes a lot. But also, the judging is based on multiple factors, not just about bring realistic, but creativity, movement, particles, scenes, and so on. It's okay dude, the main goal isn't about winning, it's about growing

Can you explain me how this 22 years experience? I mean how they count? I don't understand this concept
@@Cineinsaner I think it means that like the amount of time each person spent on their individual renders combined (ie. person 1 spent 4 days on their render and person 2 spent 10 days so 14 days of effort between them).
Every time I see a rendering challenge there is always a comment saying how it’s crazy it’s so many years worth of animation
Most of them in this video are not really top tier imo
I wonder how much time is worth for the top 100 tho

I'm from India and my entry is at 49:55! I tried to create Lord Ram fighting Kumbhakarna. I couldn't learn VFX in unreal while I was creating this. There was supposed to be a lot of FX in this shot! But I'm glad I participated this year as well!

30:40 is me! I had a lot of fun in this challenge and learned a LOT. Never really animated before, especially not multiple characters, and getting that to work with the simulations and in slowmotion was definitely a challenge. Excited for the next one!

Something I wanted to do as a joke for the breakdown video was make the intro like a Let's Play stream, cut to the renders, then cut back to the "stream" and play it off like I failed that level multiple times. But I ran out of time/motivation @@sourlab

I love that we don’t quite the cannon ball lands in the teaser, but you can see other spots where the castle is burning. It’s beautifully done.
Mine at 27:45 1st 3d challenge and quite proud of my first sumbssion cause I learned so much from it. If anyone is wandering if they should take part in 1. Just do it man and you wouldn't regret it. I finished mine in 3 days to so it didn't take a lot of time!

02:39:24 My submission is here! It was my first experience using characters and animations I created by myself, and even though I didn't make it to the Top 100, just participating was so much fun. I sincerely congratulate the winners who made it to the Top 100. To be honest, they were all so incredibly talented that rankings don't seem to matter at all. No matter which work is in first place, I would believe in all of them.
I love that all artists have their own universe in their art. Considering there are around 3,000 entries in total, I personally think there should be a Top 300...lol. I hope more people become interested in this challenge and the CG art industry. Respect to all the artists involved. 🤩

I have no idea how he managed to select the top 100, honestly major props because there were so many incredible renders. I never would have been able to come to a final 100. Hell even a top 200 would have been difficult.
