Barry Gibb (in the center) had one of the best falsetto voices of all time. His brothers, Maurice and Robin, could sing falsetto as well. They are known for thier amazing harmonies.
This video is 46 years old. There was no auto-tunes back then. We didn’t even have computers back in 1978. These voices and talent were all natural unlike the so called “music” of today.

The bee gees defined a whole generation of disco music . Saturday night fever imo is the perfect album . I get emotional everytime I hear these songs . Glad you liked it
It's like they invented harmony. Live band, no auto tune, no computerized voice enhancement and one mic for all three of them. Back then (1979). singing was just pure, raw talent. By the date of this recording, the BeeGees had already been singing together professionally for 21 years when Barry was 12 years old and the twins were just 9. All of the Gibb brothers including little brother, Andy, could sing in that amazing falsetto voice. But Barry was the master. He was able to exorcise more control over it. The Gibbs were, in my opinion, the most multi-talented families in music history. They wrote their own songs as well as writing songs for many other musical greats. This song was included on a compilation album to benefit UNICEF. There were many artists who recorded songs on the album, but the BeeGees gave all the royalties from this song in any form. In, at that time, an unprecedented move, they also gave UNICEF the publishing rights to Too Much Heaven. To date, Too Much Heaven has raised over 11 million dollars for UNICEF. In 1967, they wrote a song called To Love Somebody which appeared on their third album titled BeeGees 1st, but their first internationally, as the first two albums were only released in Australia. BeeGees 1st was released in July '67. Otis Redding was set to record To Love Somebody on his next album. Sadly, Otis was killed in a plane crash, Dec 10,1967. I thought for the longest time that they didn't record it themselves until after the death of Otis Redding. Their brother Andy Gibb had a very successful solo career as well until his death on March 10,1988. Just 5 days after turning 30. Andy had developed myocarditis, inflammation of the heart, which was brought on by a viral infection While most people recover from myocarditis, Andy's body was unable to fight the infection due to his history of drug use. Soo sad! The 1st time I heard this song, I was 15 years old. I was sitting on the floor in our living room. They sang with so much emotion that I had tears running down my face. It didn't hurt that before this I found out that Barry and I shared the same birthday, me in 1963 and him in 1946. While I was crying, my daddy came in and told me to knock it off or he'd change the channel. He was mean.

About halfway through this I just started crying. Back when this was made we were starting to laugh at the Bee Gee’s. You just don’t appreciate what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone. Too Much Heaven, indeed. Now it’s all global warming, Proud Boys, automatic weapons and pandemics. Wish we could get some of that heaven back.
They didn't have auto-tune back then. Just pure, raw talent. I liked the story Barry tells of his newfound falsetto. He didn't know his voice could go that high. He was like, "Oh! I can do that." These guys...even their vibratos are harmonized. Talk about total voice control. And they're in a league of their own. Them, Chris Stapleton and a handful of others.
No auto tune in their day. All natural! Sang together since they were small boys! Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibbs. Also had a little brother who was amazing!
These guys were blessed with their voices and song writing abilities. They had a younger brother (Andy) who looks like Barry and sings just a beautiful as his brothers.
No auto tune my brotha. Bee Gees are legit legendary vocals.💯 One day I was in the grocery store. Just a few people there. This song came on, everybody started singing. Never saw anything like it. Pre Covid of course.
Your pointing is exactly the era.......disco. They were so underrated as the era did not appreciate them as they deserved in America at the time. But they were really solid gold. First class musicians.
My first time here. The boy in the middle is Barry, the oldest brother. The others are fraternal twins. The one with the beard was Maurice, pronounced Morris. It is great to see younger people discovering real talent. The Bee Gees not only sung this song but they also wrote it. This is a beautiful love song they did not call the women B's they respected them.
53 here. Mom slept to Bee Gees everyday (she worked nights). I'm thinking there's no way you had not heard their songs you just didn't realize who they were. Their careers were virtually obliterated by a DJ who declared disco dead and started stomping on the records. And disco died. Barry made it past the 1980 mark with Barbra Streisand on the Guilty album, other than that I don't remember anything coming out of them. There are Britain's number two biggest musically successful group, behind the Beatles. They formed as children we're at the long hair on the left side of the screen was singing lead and the one in the middle played guitar and backup and Morris the one on the right back up. Genetics is a marvelous thing because I cannot differentiate voices when they're independently singing. So cutie on the right was the star as a child and Barry in the middle the breakout in the 70s and 80s but the guy on the right Maurice who is the twin of the guy on the far-left Fraternal of course is the youngest and his vocals are just as strong as the other two's. After disco was pronounced over they continued to write songs for other people so their output being so great and for so long should really put them ahead of the beetles in my opinion who were very eclectic and not all great. I think with their output they should be ahead of The Beatles/ Paul McCartney. Regarding Morris the guy on the far right as Barry aged he began to look just like Maurice, in fact, right now he looks just like Maurice. They're all brothers and there's no auto-tuning it's all genetics Andy Gibb sounds just like his brothers and he was much younger than them. Check out Andy Gibb he died first. They can all four be seen performing in the video, You Should Be Dancing!
The twins Maurice n Robin, either side of Barry. Who has the best falsetto ever..#1.. (the brothers Gibb.)..the BGSXXXXXXX the most talented group ever!!!
Go down that rabbit hole immediately! One of the best groups/singer song writers of our time. “When you’ve got brothers singing it’s like an instrument nobody else can buy”. From the documentary.
Every single song these brothers have written and performed...yes, they wrote ALL of their songs...just takes you AWAY!! They started in the sixties, and had hits into the 90's. Yeah bro, they are that EPIC!!
Thats my favorite blue eye soul group right the. But two of the members died. The only one still live is the oldest one in the middle. So be respectful ok hun. He still sad bout loosing he"s 3 younger brothers. BeeGee fan for life.
Not one of these brothers ever busted a table. One of the greatest groups ever. No auto tune you had to know how to sing. I'm just one person but your language is something else.
Debbie Seymore. I agree the language is over the top. I know it doesn't matter, I'm just one voice, I came here because of the Bee Gees Too Much Heaven came up but I won't be back the language is a too much for me. IMHO I know I'm in the minority but that's okay.
@@katie-didellis2437 I know I'm just one person and it doesn't really matter what I think. But it's good to see you agree. I was also there for the Bee Gees who never busted tables. Lol
Hey, I used to bus tables on the weekend and every dan day of the week! Respect the busboy! You crack me up. You need your own channel reviewing hair and outfits on music videos. Your reaction is the best : No. Autotune was not invested for another 30 years. These three brothers, including the busboy, are able to make magic. I played this song to my little niece (AUDIO, no video) and he mother asked her, "Which race are these guys?" and she replied, "Hello! They're Black." A great family conversation started, one that needs to take place in most homes. Amen. Don't judge a bird by his song. Praise the humans who can sing like this.
Lmao, you just discovered the best!! The Bee Gees were the greatest ever! Perfect harmonies and songwriting! Watch Fanny be tender with my love!! Be careful; you’re going down the rabbit hole!
Never auto tuned...never! Just pure talent and harmony! They began as mere children! Maurice and Robin were fraternal twins. Barry was the eldest! Ever hear of Andy Gibb? He sang on his own and died at age 30 from suicide! I love The Bee Gees since the 60’s. Does Saturday Night Fever ring a bell? The Bee Gees wrote most of the music from that movie with John Travolta! They wrote Grease for the movie. The great Gibb Brothers...no one ever has or ever will compare to them! Maurice died at 53 from complications of colon surgery and Robin died at 63 from cancer! Robin had a wonderful natural vibrato voice.

There are likely at least a few million pregnancies in the late 70s early 80s that can be traced back to this song. Always wondered why Pop was such a fan of The Bee Gees.
The little pointing dance move you were doing at around the 6:20 mark is the move made famous by John Travolta in the movie Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees were HEAVILY featured on that movie and soundtrack. What a fun coincidence. Check out the videos for their songs "You Should Be Dancing" and "Night Fever" and you'll see Travolta and others doing that move. ;)

Regarding Morris the guy on the far right as Barry aged he began to look just like Maurice, in fact, right now he looks just like Maurice. They're all brothers and there's no auto-tuning it's all genetics
Andy Gibb sounds just like his brothers and he was much younger than them.
Yet another fantastic UK group
No auto tune needed. Amazing angelic voices.
I think i love you!!! I think i want you!!!! I'm sure but i wanna cry and run my fingers thru your silky hair n sing to you!!!! Plz say yes my love
Autotune didn't exsist yet!! Just pure talent! Thank God for the 70's and 80's!!
Glad you experienced the Bee Gees, 2 of them have passed but Barry (center) Is STILL going strong! Do more Bee Gees reactions!!!!
No auto tuned those days! Real, true watcha hear is watchable get!!
THEY'RE ANGELIC.!!!
I loved that JUSTiN thank you for playing that I love the bee gees ty👍☘️👍☘️
Go down that rabbit hole immediately! One of the best groups/singer song writers of our time. “When you’ve got brothers singing it’s like an instrument nobody else can buy”. From the documentary.
As soon as possible! Because the last member of the "Bee Gees" is nearly 80 yo.
Pure, raw talent! Three brothers that sang so many fantastic songs!
If you've heard any "disco" tunes, chances are you've heard a Bee Gees song
3 men with Angels voices
Welcome to the Bee Gees. I promise you will enjoy.
It's called no Auto-Tune no lip syncing just your voice that's how it was done back in the day plain and simple
Lol
Debb Seymore.Nor did they bust guitars. They had their faults but they were a civilized group. LOL
@@katie-didellis2437 Same here.
Ladies, chill. He's starting to enjoy something he has never heard before. Words have no power and they're not magical.
You’ve been hearing their music for years in movies and such, you just didn’t know it!
They are the group I was listening at when I was younger! They were so great! We danced so much with their music. Your reaction is awsome! Merci!
His chest isn't glistening. It's scarred from a burn when he was very young.
Auto tune didn’t exist back then. This was real. I grew up with it.
Mini-orchestra ... just singing ... Finish the song. Ship out to record stores.
❌ nudity
❌profanity

❌ cut, let's do that again
💯love
💯perfect harmony
💯donate money to charity
Just so you know, Barry’s chest is shiny because he was scalded by hot water as a child.
I believe if you look closely Barry is wearing a smooth tank top on under his shirt
this is what old timers listen to it's good music somthing young kids know nothing about
you young generation need to bring bee gees to number again
Your comments cracked me up! I’m surprised you haven’t heard of the Bee Gees but they are amazing! I’m glad that you enjoyed them. You will love all of their hits! Their music Transcends age, ethnicity, and music preference. It’s truly angelic!
Totally blessed! NO AUTO TUNE!!!! This deserves STANK SONG top 5, RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS-OMG “YOU’VE LOST THAT LOVING FEELING “. THIS SING IS MOST PLAYED EVER!✌🏼🤟🏼🐐🐐🐐🤟🏼✌🏼🔥🔥
There are likely at least a few million pregnancies in the late 70s early 80s that can be traced back to this song. Always wondered why Pop was such a fan of The Bee Gees.
Absolutely.. this song was one of those "babymaker" hits that got the ladies in just the right mood to get busy 😂
This song is truly too much heaven!!
The little pointing dance move you were doing at around the 6:20 mark is the move made famous by John Travolta in the movie Saturday Night Fever. The Bee Gees were HEAVILY featured on that movie and soundtrack. What a fun coincidence. Check out the videos for their songs "You Should Be Dancing" and "Night Fever" and you'll see Travolta and others doing that move. ;)
Brother, you have me crying. 🤣
Subscribed!!!🤗
No auto tune. A masterpiece! Love them! I grew up listening to them.
"Stayin' Alive" was a huge hit. "Well you can tell by way I use my walk I'm a woman's man no time for talk" 😀
Look and listen these bothers no who they are they have been singing since they are children so please stop and just listen to the song and then make your comments
bee gees love you inside out
My fave
Such a great reaction!!! The Bee Gees are the all time best!
Sooooooooooooo many good comments I don't even know which one to point out... but I gotta say... "wiggers" had me rolling!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
Of ALL the reactions I've watched to this song, you had the fastest "stink face" of all 1.5 seconds into the song.
I love it, love it love it!
I have always been a fan of the Bee Gees! I will always be a fan! Such a talented family! I have always been a fan of their baby brother Andy Gibb!
Bro, BEE GEES R the GOAT. Check them out. No auto tune in the 60s and 70s, Dude. This is music, not the crap of today.
BRAVO !!!!🙏🙏killer reaction!! You got this and now you know!!! The Gibb brothers were and are everything!! RIP Andy & Robin 🙏
And RIP Mo.🙏
Talent for the ages. Singers, writers, producer....musicians. The middle brother Is the older one, the other two are twins, that’s the last of the 70’s and early 80’s. no auto tune,
Why would you call them wiggers?.......Just enjoy good music without labelling people
They are all cute, but Barry is preposterously handsome. Welcome to the world of Bee Gees. This is in the 70’s, auto tune was not even invented yet. It’s all them. Their range and harmony is second to none!
Go for it Justin thx for playing that I loved it ☘️😃👍🙏
Dude you have me rollin🤣 your reaction. Respect👍
The Bee Gees music 🎶🎶 will stand the test of time. There was no auto tune back then .
1979...well before autotune. They could sing! How Deep is your Love, Jive Talking, Staying Alive....just to get you started. Their career spanned over 40 years!
Actually, they started in the late 50s.
