He’s so beautiful. I love , love, love his voice. He doesn’t look the same as he did when he was younger but I still love him and his voice . Maurice and Robin have beautiful voices too. They keep the Fallcetto going when Barry goes higher which he does so beautifully.
I laughed when you said "is this the only good song by the Bee Gees". ALL the songs by the Bee Gees are masterclasses in harmony and songwriting, not to mention the amazing vocals by any one of them.
Glad to see your reaction to the Bee Gees. Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole my friend! These guys literally wrote 100s of songs for themselves as well as other artists. They wrote the songbook of my life! 😊
Go on lad just cry !we all do ,it hits you right down into your soul! They are the only group that can make you smile and cry at the same time !Enjoy !
I kind of get a little confused why people think the Bee Gees are black? they were inspired by black music, could play & sing R&B, Blue-eyed soul, Folk, Rock, Country, Gospel. the Beatles never made the R&B charts as the Bee Gees did! they're untouchable.
I grew up listening to the Bee Gees, & you have no idea how happy it makes me, to see the younger generation discover the music we fell in love with !!! Barry Gibb, in my opinion, has the best falsetto voice ever, & what makes it so incredible, is that in his falsetto, he also used his vibrato, which is very rare! Thank you so much for this, they were brothers, & Barry is the last one, but please review more of their music, you will not be disappointed, & they span over years, & crossed many genres 😍 I also believe, that if there is music in Heaven, it would sound like the Bee Gee's ❤️❤️❤️
I've heard it theorized that this is Barry's head voice, not his falsetto. Makes sense if you consider the vibrato and the way he can sustain the notes.
my mom (born in 1955) also grew up listening to the Bee Gees, and in turn my brother and I were raised listening to them (we are 80s & 90s babies) and you can believe if I ever have babies they will grow up listening to the Bee Gees too
Andy was the last. Barry was 2nd oldest followed by Robin and Maurice that are unidenticle twins. Not to knock your comment which is 100% agreeable. Maybe a typo "last"....
i am in my 50s, I grew up listening to Country, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Disco, Rap, Hip Hop, Classical, Soul, everything, we didn't look at who was singing, or performing, we just listened and if it touched us in some way we kept listening to it. I am so happy to see younger people, and people who had the idea that certain people listened to only certain music finally see that the older generations listened to music for the music and to feel emotion and help us express emotions. Enjoy and keep looking into other music that comes up with the Bee Gee's, there is a ton of music from that era that will knock your socks off.
Musical geniuses, the Bee Gees are my favorite group of all time. You have many songs to get through, all classics. You thought this was good oh my God there's so many
They rolled with the flow. Reinvented themselves. Wrote for others. Diana Ross. Dolly Parton. They could sit on a couch and sing you to tears. No auto tune. What you see is them doing what they loved. I appreciate your kind reaction. I adore them.
These brothers have so many great songs you could react to one a week and it would take you years to get through them all. Over five decades of great song writing and magical vocals. I have over 160 favorite Bee Gees songs. The list is still growing. They never disappoint. Fanny Be Tender With My Love. Love You Inside Out. Nights On Broadway. Tragedy. Jive Talkin. Kiss Of Life. Dear Rome Life Reactions Ahhhh.....Soul music. Is there any other music that compares? It reaches into the deepest part of your soul and its hard to describe it in words. When you hear it, you know it's right. Your whole body reacts to it and it moves you. Your body and your facial expressions tell the story. Thank you so much for sharing your reaction to this beautiful Bee Gees ballad.
Jive Talkin & Nights On Broadway are great but the Bee Gees don't have a bad song!! The Saturday Night Fever Album is GOLD!! From the movie (same name) with John Travolta. 1976 the height of Disco.
Although, the Bee Gees said they never saw the movie, even when it came out. As Robin said, the music was written before they were contacted about providing some songs for the film, and that Saturday Night Fever "isn't Gone With the Wind." (not an epic movie) In my opinion the music and dance routines are the only parts which are worth watching. I think that's why they never saw the film.
The general public didn't realize how incredibly talented the Bee Gee's were because much of the industry downplayed disco music for many decades. Now, what do you think about them? I grew up in the 70's loving the Bee Gee's because I grew up in a family of musicians and singers knowing just how difficult it is to sing at this level. Their harmonies are incredible, and I have yet, to hear anyone or group with their level of ability. Sadly, Barry is the only Bee Gee to still be alive. I play their music almost daily. They are incredible.
Hey we're not old, just experienced and with a plethora of fantastic music to draw from. I have a huge vinyl collection, thankfully I can try to do something with that now. You are definitely correct though - our music absolutely did NOT suck!!
This was the shitzzzz.. Beyond WOW!!! The Bee Gees Were Lit 🔥 This is what I grew up with, my children and grandchildren sing to and love this song… Thank You for sharing God bless you ❤
When this came out I was too young to appreciate Barry’s sexiness. Seeing them sing all these years later, I have a better appreciation. And the music is even better than I remembered.
The BeeGees wrote over 1,000 songs, for themself and MANY other Chart-Topping Musicians. They also have the 2nd highest selling Single Album in History - 63 MILLION. In their career together, they sold over 220 MILLION albums, so what they did seemed to work :-)
A little history. These guys left Australia when they were little kids, and had their first radio success when the oldest was just 13 I believe. They went on to have a career and international success that no artist, including Michael Jackson has been able to repeat. They were the first artist to receive a grammy for international achievement. Not only have they had numerous chart toppers and best selling albums, including a movie soundtrack that outsold most artist studio records, but they have boosted many other artists careers by writing hits for them. Just incredibly gifted. No matter what Genre of music they would write too, the composition and arrangements they used were top level. Songs you may like: How Deep Is Your Love Jive Talkin Emotions How Can U Mend A Broken Heart Nights On Broadway...
Can’t go wrong. 40 yrs of awesome. RIP Robin and Maurice. Check out the song “This Is Just Where I Came In” for a humourus autobiography of their career. These guys had a wicked sense of humor.
Your reaction is precious!! The same reaction we had when we first heard The Brothers, and our minds have never been changed The Bee Gees are still the BEST the GREATEST the TOO OF THE MOUNTAIN and we old people their greatest fans will love them forever and we are still dancing💔💔❤️
The high male voice has a special effect - not just in modern music. When I first heard a baroque opera and a male soprano started singing, my reaction was like yours: mouth dropped open, spellbound!
My brother, you don't know what you're missing. In the 70s, man 70s was so fun and go to 10 parties in one night. And you won't get shot. You have a good day.Keep on doing what you're doing peace
These guys came out of a pop/psychedelic music and hit it huge in the disco... The brother on the left was the lead singer earlier on, then Barry took over with his smooth falsetto. I have always been impressed by the three of them blending so well even through the sustained vibrato notes!! Smooth and classy!
First thank you for the 80/20 video split of the band over you. Second your joy of witnessing Decades of there family talent. There the real deal. And wrote decades of music for others.
Besides the unbelievable vocals, the orchestration and instumentation on this song in particular is incredibly complex. Imagine trying to reproduce this live or even in the studio. Just incredible.
Search for their big hit from back in the early seventies called New York Mining Disaster 1941 and for me their first international hit from the late 60's called Spicks and Specks. You won't be disappointed. Glad I got to see them in concert in 1975 in Australia. They were truly one of the Super groups of our time.
Real raw talent. That is what we had in our day. So sad, so sorry for this auto tune and zero bands/groups in todays noise. R&B was excellent music 50's 60's 70's Motown excellent talent.
This is from the era when men sang TO women and not ABOUT them. Bee Gees were legendary.
You have to be kidding me... Every BEE GEE song is amazing.......AMAZING
There will never be music like that anymore.and that is a sad thing. No auto tune crap just pure talent!
There's a lot of 40 year olds alive today thanks to this song.
The royalties of this song were given completely to the children of the world. It was a number one hit. Millions of dollars went to unicef
Barry Gibb is Mother Nature's Masterpiece!! He's got it all.....chest voice, head voice, vibrato and the BEST falsetto EVER!
He’s so beautiful. I love , love, love his voice. He doesn’t look the same as he did when he was younger but I still love him and his voice . Maurice and Robin have beautiful voices too. They keep the Fallcetto going when Barry goes higher which he does so beautifully.
Don't forget the #2 songwriter of ALL TIME
Mother natures? 😅 silly rabbit....a child of God get that right!
Barry still a handsome man. Such a romantic and sweet person ❤
You got that right!
I laughed when you said "is this the only good song by the Bee Gees". ALL the songs by the Bee Gees are masterclasses in harmony and songwriting, not to mention the amazing vocals by any one of them.
41 yrs later Barry still melts my heart.
Pre-computer era....clear sound, clear talent, listen to more ! They were the top of their generation with giving 1 million dollars to UNICEP.
I have read that the running total now exceeds $10 MIL
Glad to see your reaction to the Bee Gees. Enjoy your trip down the rabbit hole my friend! These guys literally wrote 100s of songs for themselves as well as other artists. They wrote the songbook of my life! 😊
Are you kidding me every song that they sing was a gem! They have been together since the 60s so you have a lot of music to listen to!
They’ve been singing in public since 1958, and have been together since the twins were born, seeing as they are the Brothers Gibb.
Misic is timeless. Watchingthese reactions, its so true. Today's young ladies melt just like they did back then.
During this musical era you could hardly tell the difference between a record and a live concert by any of the artists, not today.
Go on lad just cry !we all do ,it hits you right down into your soul! They are the only group that can make you smile and cry at the same time !Enjoy !
One of the best ever! Their music will live on forever!
I kind of get a little confused why people think the Bee Gees are black? they were inspired by black music, could play & sing R&B, Blue-eyed soul, Folk, Rock, Country, Gospel. the Beatles never made the R&B charts as the Bee Gees did! they're untouchable.

I totally agree

Thats the Univers of the Bee Gees ❤❤❤
Non of the Artist of today can hold a candle next to these three gentleman, singing or writing music.
i am in my 50s, I grew up listening to Country, Rock, Rhythm and Blues, Disco, Rap, Hip Hop, Classical, Soul, everything, we didn't look at who was singing, or performing, we just listened and if it touched us in some way we kept listening to it. They’re brothers so they’ve got that perfect harmony thing going on.
The 2 on the sides are brothers and the one in the middle is their cousin
@@joeeli7688 they are all brothers- along with Andy Gibb.

Bee Gees have such a unique sound. Their in a class all their own. They set a mood thats for sure.
I love bee gees song “how can you mend a broken heart”(live from one night only concert)
I really enjoy Al Green's cover of that one. Gorgeous!
And once you watch their version of How can You mend a broken heart, go ahead and look up Al Green's version, it's better.

I was twelve 👌👏👏
I was also 12. Such good times.
They are great I was 7 when it came out
One of my fav 70s songs ,, And it was 44 years ago 1978 ,,
Their freaking harmony, timing, style, song writing and selection of who they will work with or write for to me was unmatched.
I LOVE WHEN ROBIN AND MAURICE SMILE AT THE MUSICIANS!

The Bee Gees are legends in the music world. Very famous back in the 70's. Barry Gibb is one of the most prolific song writers in the world.
These dudes synchronise their heartbeats. Seriously.

Rent the movie Saturday Night Live. All BeeGees music....you will get to see their range. Warning. ..Disco....but so fabulous!
Lol, .......Saturday Night Fever is probably what you meant there. 😄
@@Saltyzwiggy I think I am a victim of autocorrect. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.🤪
Not all BeeGees music but most of it yes. There was a disco version of Flight of the Bumblebees by the Walter Murphy Band (I think)
