Now, this past weekend I go to fly and only 2 of 3 batteries were working. The "bad" battery won't light up, won't charge, and won't turn on. I did put it back in my drone and tried to power it up, but nothing. I immediately put it on the single charger without the hub and it still didn't light up or charge. I have an open ticket with DJI but I don't want to pay $65 just for them to look at it and tell me that I need to buy a new battery. I'm going to try this after work today.
I just bought a used fly-more for a ridiculous price of of £680, considering stated never used. Batteries wouldn't charge. Looks like the seller couldn't get them to charge (probably used multi-charger) - they wouldn't charge with single or multi-charger when I received it through the post. Tried this and it is the only think that worked. All three have charged and showing 'times charged' = 1 on each of them. Happy days and a big thank-you; I was considering returning it to seller, until I tried this 🙂👍

most of the time if I don't use them for a certain period of time, I find them at around 70%. When I want to store them at around 60 I just charge them AFTER using them and pay attention to stop charging them around that %
you can check on the controller how many "cycles" they have. The average cycles they last are about 200 for the Air 2S. Time wise, I think they should last for about 3 years
The lifespan varies greatly depending on how well you treat your batteries. Always charge them after draining them and never run them below 20% and never store them full or empty. Store at 65% charge and they will last a long time. You can replace the lithium cells but I only recommend that if you are sure in your capabilities because opening batteries can be dangerous needless to say
