Just came across this video because I’m now having this problem with the hub. It starts charging then turns red and stops. Glad for this information and I’m subscribing!
You unlocked the mystery of my perfectly good battery that went to sleep. Like R2D2 did when Luke Skywalker went away. I was all set to purchase another fly more pack. ( which I still might) to get 2 more batteries. Not sure if this information is in the manual or available from DJI. But I thank you a thousand times for your content information
Jamie, you have been to the future and saved my air2s battery. I went straight in and stuck them all one the hub (DJI - why wouldn't you?) One went wonky, but is now behaving thanks to this video. Good work. You have a new sub from the future! 2021 🤝🏿👌🏿👍🏿😎
Akin - Im on my 3rd try... I left it unplugged for about 2 hours and then connected directly to the charger and still no go. Any thoughts? BTW mine are literally brand new
Good morning my drone brother Jamie. Hey man i want to thank you very much for making this video. You are the man. Thanks sooo much for sharing this great video with us brother. You got yourself a new subscriber here. Let’s help and support one another. You have my full support 100% Sir. God bless and stay safe. Have a great day Captain 👨✈️. Thanks for all you do and please keep flying.
Hey I recently bought a secondhand Mavic pro that had never been flown so it was still it’s original container and because it had never been flown the batteries are never been taken out of hibernation subsequently they now totally dead. is there any way that these batteries can be reactivated at all? I have tried putting on the charger single individual charger only, for several hours no luck. I’ve also tried doing the same thing and holding the power button down for three seconds & again on several hours on single charger but no luck I’m just reaching out for any kind of help please
I have the exact same problem... bought a secondhand Air 2s, it came with four batteries, two are OK, two are dead. No method I've seen online brings them back from the dead.
YOURE A FUCKING LIFE SAVER .. i am a first time owner I fully discharge my mavic 2 batteries.. and they went dead .. 3 mins on hard charge 3 mins off .. then charge again got them working.. tyvm
Didnt work for me. Have 3 batteries, 2 worked and 1 dead. I bought the combo kit. I plugged the dead one directly into the charger but nothing happened
@Jamie Holder can you shed any more light on the 30068 battery error in the MA2? I have performed the 3 minute drill you described on all 3 batteries, refreshed the latest firmware with all 3 batteries via DJI Assistant 2, refreshed the RC firmware with Assistant 2, and cleaned all contacts on both drone and batteries. Still getting the error. Especially if I fly, land, and take off again. I really hate to send it back to DJI since it is my only drone. Hoping you may have some updated advice.
Hi jamie had my air 2 for 19mths . flying the other day no warning just 70 percentage to 0 in 8mins roughly now Battery wont turn on at all. Could it just be worn out and tired ? Awaiting your reply thanks lee.
This kind of battery charging problem shouldn't even exist. It should simply charge exactly the same way a smartphone does, plain and simple, with no problems what-so-ever.
Hello Jamie....can you share also your idea about the Mavic air 2 remote controller which is not charging and can not power on also.it happened after I drain the battery of my remote control...thanks
Liked and subbed. I think this might be working on my Mavic Pro as well. Not used it for a while. 5 batteries totally dead and nothing. One other battery lit up and started to charge. I tried what you just said on one of the dead batteries and now it is blinking. Thank you
@@frankdatank4u it took about 20 minutes. Unfortunately it decided to stop responding again while it was recharging. It suddenly stopped. I have since sold the batteries as non working on eBay for £20 each. Someone bought them and got them working again.
That's good to know thumbs up on the video man thanks I ordered a extra battery came in today and another coming in Friday and the charging hub comes tomorrow and now I know what to do before I put them all on the hub thanks man 😎😎🤙🤙👍👍
hi jamie i have 3 mavic air battries two are dead and wont charge my charger is orange but when i put battries on the charger flashes green then flashes orange again and continues this cycle
My battery wasn't used for 3 years and now i plug the battery into the dji charger you mentioned here but the light still wont come on. This battery was used only once 3 years ago so it should be just like new
Here's my problem: I drained my battery to 0% not on purpose and now it won't charge at all. Not on the standalone charger or on the hub. Let me add that the battery was sitting for a week and I flew out starting at 55%. Is there a fix for this?
I used hub initially and after not seeing two batteries charge quickly did search and found this. Is the damage already done or will switching to a direct charge avoid any issues
@@JamieHolder buddy THANK YOU for this video. I had this exact issue with my Mavic Air 2 batteries. I am thinking is the best advise? Throw the damn charging hub in the trash.
Be careful Jamie! And everybody else of course. Don't insert and remove your batteries like this, because you'll have some stress cracks at the arms sooner or later. Always do it while holding your drone in your hands.
My problem is different, I charged the battery, removed all sticks, inserted the propellers, inserted battery, one-click on the power button, the nd click holding it, the aircraft seems to start the initialization process, but no beep, no lights, no gimbal activation. Its just stay there with a fan turned on. Connected it to my computer, but no luck, no detection. Did I make something wrong or I can consider it defective and can return?
The battery you show that was completely dead, you connected to charger directly and said it would come out of hibernation. After hours of charge, still no lights or turning on. What next? BTW, the battery has worked previously but not in the last 7-8 months.
Mine after not being flown but being charged up went into the drone just sat and wouldn't initiate startup of the drone with full charge up of A new battery.
Hi Man, I have a question, I charge three battery with the Hub and everything works normal. If one of battery or two battery fully charge and one battery still charging, is it ok to let the fully charge battery stay on the charging hub until all the battery is fully charge? Or I need take out the battery from the charging hub when fully charge?
It's fine to leave it in the dock, they stop charging once full. I charge mine when I go to bed and leave them in till the morning. I have never had an issue with any drones/ battery's doing it this way.
For first time in my life suddenly both new batteries of my Mavic 2 pro after 7 flights both have the same problem. If they are full charged when tried to put them on drone , drone started automatically without pressing 2 times the battery. First happened to the first new battery and after one day happened the same to the second battery. Both of them is like staying on with out lights. When I’m trying to press 2 times to turn on them it’s working and I can see the 4 indicator lights. Then Pressing 2 times the button to turn them off , and lights going off but again the battery is like on. If I will try to put them on drone. Drone starting calibration of camera etc automatically. Any ideas ??
I bought this drone yesterday and my charger hub does not work how can I solve the problem? Or do the batteries have a deactivation system when trying to load the hub? How can I know
Charge the batterys separately first, not in battery hub, then plug the battery in the drone do a firmware update. Then you can start using the hub. If the hub will not work after that you may have a faulty hub.
My battery blinks with one led constantly from the box, in charger, in drone, all alone by itself, drone doesn't turn on with it... Charging without hub... But it just still blinks with one led
I did that and it didn't help. $800 worth of batteries for my Phantom 4 pro is gone. It seems like after spending some time in "hibernation" the battery eventually goes to forever sleep (mine were laying for 2 years because of the pandemic). Obviously, DJI is well aware of this problem, but doesn't mention anyting about this anywhere. They just want you to buy a new one. For all you guys buying a fancy new DJI drone - if you don't charge it regularly, at least once a month, it's gone, and DJI won't replace it.
Just got the Mavic air 2 and right off the bat im getting error 30068 regarding the battery not being installed correctly. Ive tried everything I can think of the fix..cleaning leads..re seating multiple times..can anyone help?
Did you ever get yours straightened out? I got my MA2 last June and no battery issues until about October’s cold weather and getting the 30068 error ever since. I’m in the process of the 3 on, 3 off drill described here. I have very carefully and thoroughly cleaned the contacts. I’m in Maine, USA so I’ve flown it as low as 15° F with no issues other than the 30068. Never any issues with the actual flight but the constant battery warning keeps me on edge!
Too bad this doesn't work for Mavic 2 Pro. I have two batteries that drained in storage and will not respond. Sticking them on the charger directly for 12+ hours makes no difference.
I have problems of them losing battery when they are fully charged and only laying in the bag for days . And when I go out to fly again all batteries has lost one or two lights... 🤯🤯🤔🤔
The manual says it will discharge to 60% if not used within 4 days. I'm sure that's not a hard number, so I'd expect between 3-5 days and it would do this....
What happens if the battery does not have any lights solid red or blinking green when placed on the charger?

I didn’t know I could charge it with the cable only 😂😂👍🏼👍🏼 . Liked 🔥👍🏼

My battery doesn’t even turn on at all, I think it’s been bricked straight from the box. It never flashed one LED at all
Nice review can I ask how I can change the battery percentage of my battery to be a low battery

Doing a direct charge will fix the problem.

do i have to charge it fully to use the bigger charging port for the very first time
Will this work on my Air 2S battery which wont charge past %85?
Thank you for the video! I assume it is ok to charge via Hub on second round?
Yeah that's correct

rdbetta The hub only charges one at a time.
