Hello, may I ask ? I have on my tesla model 3 one front wheel tilted about 4mm in comparison the other side. Can it be adjusted by from the top of the suspension ?
@@GFI but in general : When wheel is tilted (moved towards the back) then Can it be corrected from the top of the suspension as you did on your video ?
I went for a '4 wheel alignment' and the garage did not take out any of the frunk so I'm worried that it's not been done properly... My results sheet has no measurements for the caster too. Should I be worried?
at my work they will half ass the alignment so beware. and they’ll just break off the corners of the bottom panel to adjust the rear toe. i’ve expressed my feelings about that but management does not care. they just want a quick 100$
Obrigado.
@@-Atmos1 the alignment equipment is the same as for the other cars, only the method is slightly different, as I described. The plastics are really easy to take. The bolts are all equal, just be careful with the plastic clips on the sides. They are really brittle.
@@justinstewart3248 you can only fine tune the steering bars from underneath. If you need to adjust the camber you need to move the shock tower and to do that you need to loose the assembly that is bolted as I show.

By what I saw, 4mm it is maybe too much to be adjusted. But it is an easy procedure so maybe it worth try.

The top of the suspension is attached to a bracket that can be adjusted in and out. Can’t remember it you can move it back and forward. Sorry 😅

Maybe your car was straight and they didn’t feel the need to touch the camber or the caster.

O meu gastava por dentro à frente do lado do condutor. Realmente o procedimento pode parecer intimidante, mas até não é demasiado complicado.
Thanks for the video. Where is your shop?
Hi. This was done in Portugal - Santiago do Cacem. The link for the shop is at the video description
How would you choose a mechanic to do this , does it have to be one recommended by Tesla ?
Hi. No need to be a recommend one. The torque values I guive are the correct for each position.

Thanks for the info , your video is one of the best ones explaining about the removal of plastic covers .
Is it really needed to take the frunk out to align the front wheels? Really? Can’t do it from underneath at all?

Doing this for my friend tomorrow….😅
Check the torque values. They are important.
I was told by my wheel aligner he wouldn't use Tesla's recommended specifications and better use his of own experience. Any thoughts on this?
I used the values from the machine. I believe they are the Tesla spec. The car is fine as it is.
Hi where are you located?
Hi. Portugal.
What tires you put on?
Same as original. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 TO. I am pretty happy with the tyres.
Nice. I use the Michelin mxm 19 inch. Came with conti's but are pricey so I got the Michelin with the warranty for mileage
how do i front camber setting?
Hi. It’s explained in the video how to do it.
No need for ADAS calibration?
Not that I am aware off.
why take out the front end?
To access the adjustment bolts.
No wonder no one will touch my car 😂gotta take half the front end apart to align it
😂 it’s just a big chunk of plastic 😂
oh my work will gladly do your alignment but they’ll break the ends of the bottom panel to do the rear toe and they wont touch the front
what alignment machine did you use?
It’s the one from my local shop. Think the brand is Hunter. Not sure about the model.
i believe it’s the Hunter WinAlign
